Candlewood Suites Atlanta - دولوث

Rooms were recently renovated so they are in good condition except for the chairs which definitely show plenty of wear. Bed was very comfortable and I slept well. Shower had water saving head so it wasn't such a satisfying experience. I ended up taking a longer shower because of the reduced flow. Gwinnett Mall, Best Buy and Fry's Electronics are close by and I needed to shop there so I accomplished my goals during the 2 day stay. Management needs to inform housekeeping when the guests have checked out before entering the rooms. Their policy is once a week service from the day you check in. I was there for only 2 days and they tried to enter my room when I was in the bathroom at 8:00 am and again at 8:15 am. There are other hotels in the vicinity and I chose this one because the rooms have a kitchenette and you can make simple meals.

Plus points: All hotel staff that I encountered (front desk, maintenance, housekeeping) were very nice, friendly and helpful. The free laundry facility for guests was an unexpected bonus! The room was clean, excellent "thirsty" bath towels and a nice large bathroom. Kitchen area was attractive and had a full size refrigerator. Minus points: EVERY room has a queen size bed so the number of guests in a room really is limited to two. No cots to rent so when our grandaughter spent a night with us, grandpa slept on the floor. The mattress was VERY firm, not much difference between it and the floor. Conclusion: It's a nice, secure facility but what makes it really special is the staff.... ALL the staff.

The front desk was great this time. They usually have one girl who is extremely rude, but the manager, Chris was there and everyone was very accomadating. Chris goes out of his way to make your stay a good one. It was was pleasant. The pantry is very convenient. The washer/dryer are also very convenient and free, just have to buy detergent. It is generally very clean, there is an occasional spot sometimes that has not been cleaned. Usually quiet, I sleep during the day and work at night. I feel safe. The air conditioner is a little aggravating, you go to bed and it has a sensor, there is no movement and it goes off, then it gets really hot and wakes me up and I have to move around for the air to come back on, this is extremly aggravating and interupts my sleep. If you pay for a room you should be able to have your air on the setting you want it on at all times, like home!!

The hotel was great. The room, service, location and rate were all great. The only thing i had a minor issue was the channel lineup on the TV. It needs more channels.

This extended stay property is well stocked. I have stayed at others and been disappointed that they didn't provide as much as this hotel. Other places will provide burners but no pots or diswashing powder but no dish liquid. When you are staying more than a day but less than a week at least you can take care of any dishes you create yourself. They were upgrading to new tv's throughout. Good variety of channels. Internet was fine. Shortcoming would be the towels. They were designed for the long haul...not the softest you would find. And like any extended stay you have to exchange for new ones yourself. This place does have laundry on site and even provides you a basket. - Nice touch.

If I compaired Candlewood Suites to Homewood Suites facilities - then I would have been expecting at least a contintental breakfast for their guest, which Candlewood Suites does not offer. However, compaired to Extended Stay facilities I would say that the Candlewood Suites facility is a step higher. Nice facility for the price of the room. I also noticed that Candlewood Suites allow guest with pets which is alright if someone wants to bring their pet with them - however for someone with allegies to certain pets this information should be shared with Hotel.com guest when booking at such facilities.

The hotel was very clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff was very pleasant

It will probably be a better hotel when the renovations are done, but my room was above all the renovations. It smelled like paint, there was a mess everywhere, and the work was going on when I woke up & when I returned to the room. Also, if you have pets, find another hotel. Candlewood allows pets, but the dog walking area was sort of gross.

Great hotel at a super reasonable price. Dale at the front desk was extremely helpful and courteous. Will definately stay here again.

Best hotel stay in years. Great room with stove, microwave, dishwasher and full size fridge. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Candlewood Suites Atlanta, which is in the suburbs in Gwinnett County has all the same ammenities of a Holiday Inn without the complimentary breakfast. If you are willing to stay in a hotel without breakfast, it would be very hard to find a place that is as good a bargain as Candlewood Suites. I do wish however that they would have their front desk open 24/7 like most hotels that I have stayed at over the last few years. However, that is just a minor problem as this hotel is just an all around great value.

my wife, dog, and i had a great stay and enjoyed the room as well as it was close to many restaurants and my wife's work.

I asked for a non-smoking room but got one that smelled like smoke. I was also greeting with a bug in the room. Other than that the room was alright.

I enjoyed my stay at the Candlewood Suites. This was a last minute reservation and I was shocked that the description was exactly as it should be.

Hotel was clean and the employees were extremely nice and helpful.

The hotel was well maintained and easy to find. It had a problem from which many hotels seem to suffer. Even though our room was non-smoking, there was still a strong hint of smoke in the air and my wife is very sensitive to tobacco smoke so the stay was not as pleasant as it should have been. Also the room type that I thought that I was reserving was not the room that I wanted. I had to pay a higher price than I expected to stay in the room that I wanted. I have only stayed at Candlewood Suites twice and this is the second time that this has happened. Is this a pattern? Nice theory with the setup of rooms and such but it still has some bugs that seem to be worked out. In the meantime I have paid for their mistakes.

Check in was hassle free. Room was spotless! Everything in room worked perfect. Bed was very comfortable and experienced a great nights rest every night. Parking was ample, had no fear of issues in the parking lot. To be honest, I would have stayed longer if I could have. Will be back!

Very good hotel at the price. No problems with security, staff was pleasant. I parked a Porsche confidently, and would gladly stay there again. There are no food accomodations; however, a block up and a block up from the hotel is the Georgia Diner, which is very good and open 24/7.

Very nice suite, but no king or 2 queen beds in any of the rooms. Every room has only one queen bed!

All things considered, this hotel is worth only its 2 stars. It is an older hotel and although it was fairly clean, it could use some renovations. The kitchen cabinets were really worn out. The toilet didn't flush well, it had to be flushed twice. The kitchen sink wouldn't turn off completely without a smackdown. The AC unit was really loud. It was the cleanliness/maintenance that bothered me. The top of the refrigerator looked like it had never been dusted. The coffee pot handle was loose, and I thought I was going to spill my coffee. There were random hairs all over the bathroom. Don't gross out, but there was even one in the bathroom cup. The elevator smelled like smoke. There were price tags left in the drawer. It just seemed like the cleaning was not thorough. The front desk receptionist was very friendly and she did follow up right after we checked-in. It wasn't until after we relaxed and tried to unwind that we noticed the negative things.

We were pleasantly surprised by how great this hotel was! For such a great rate we were expecting something a little more on the "shady" side when it comes to hotels, but since we wanted to save some money we went for it anyway. I was *thrilled* to discover it was not "shady" in the slightest! Our room was large and comfortable. Sure, the appliances were a little older, but they worked and everything was nice and clean. We will continue to stay here on all our future trips to the Atlanta area!

The room was clean and quiet and the bed was actually quite comfortable. LOVED the shower head and all the pressure. Check this out...this place is one of the fewest that actually had a nice IRON. Usually they stick to your clothes like sandpaper, but this one was smooth :)
