Vibe Hotel Rushcutters Sydney - روشكاترز باي

Great location for eastern suburbs base. Not too far from city. Easy walk to Paddington, Elizabeth Bay and Potts Point. Lots of eating options nearby. Good sized room with huge bed. Rooftop pool is nice way to spend a relaxing hour or so. Rushcutter's park right next door. Service wasn't that great but no major issues. Minibar expensive, use convenience store up the road. Late night room service was pricey but worth it - the ham & cheese toastie was delicious (@2am). Would definitely stay again at discount rates.

A good hotel for location and price, Hotel a little tired and staff not the most happy people, just few other small problems such as I went for a swim one morning in hotel pool at about 9am only to find drunk people still in it from night before and empty wine and beer bottles everywere. The management should have had this in order by 9am ! Also our chair in the room was broken and we were not able to sit on it, light glob broken in bathroom & no drinking glasses in room for water only wine glasses . These small things would not happen if the staff paid attention and cared.

The cleaning staff are fabulous, and couldn't do enough for us! The internet service was great, if there was a limit to the downloads I didn't hit it and I thought that it was reasonably priced. The man at reception who checked us in was more interested in what other staff members were doing, than if we had all relevant information needed for our stay. He never told us that we had to scan our door keycards in the lift to access the floor our room was on. We didn't think there was a compendium until 3 days into our stay a staff member told us that you have to access it via a screen on the TV.

We were very happy with the room and the service, the only downside was that we didnt get much of a view from our window. But we didnt spend too much time in the room so it didnt matter. The food is also good for dinner and the breakfast buffet is awesome.

We did not get the correct room, single beds not a double bed. We not very willing to accommodate any changes to our booking or compensate our stay for getting this incorrect. The manager tired to blame us for the booking, and was only when we showed our booking that they admitted fault but never apologized. We have stayed there 3 times and never get credited our velocity points could be more friendly

No complaints whatsoever, great place to stay. Great value compared to other similar hotels in Sydney.

Everything was pretty good except for the massive cockroach in our room on the 2nd night. We moved rooms 3 floors away and the other side of the hotel only to find a cockroach in that room too. Needless to say we demanded to be moved to a new hotel. At least this was done, even though it was late on a Friday night.

The Hotel Vibe at Rushcutters Bay is in an excellent position, however it needs to have free or more reasonable wireless internet connection and NEW pillows.

I guess my first impressions were not the best, booking made a while ago and on the booking requested a King Room. On Check in was asked if I wanted a Twin Room. Advised of course for the King as per my booking, walk into the room and it is indeed a Twin. Ring Reception and they advise they will get someone up straight away, I had to leave in about 20 mins to get to Darling Harbour, and still nobody turned up. Advised then in person as we were leaving nobody had turned up. On coming back to the room later in the evening it was rectified. There is literally only one pillow per person, first thing I also found odd for a hotel that is suppose to be 4 stars. The carpets did not feel very clean and I stayed walking around in thongs whilst in the room. Also no communication in the room in regards to check out, like normal hotels usually provide some book or something. Would I stay there again?? Only if I needed to be in Kings Cross for the night like I did that weekend. For a Vibe and for a 4 Star I expected more.

Unfriendly Male Reception Staff at check in. Checked flight details for morning flight on line and told us the wrong time of flight. We missed the flight and had to pay for another. The rooms may say park view but are mostly overlooking the car park. The location is great and the recommendation of the female staff member for place to eat was tremendous. Could be so much better with better trained staff.

Second time at the Vibes to run the City-2-Surf - ideal location, only a mile from the start, 70% of the guests seemed to be there for the same reason. Also a good spot to watch the race if you can't run. Very comfortable room, excellent food - restaurant was full, but room service was only a short wait. Not too noisy, so no problems sleeping. The staff were again very courteous and helpful, and seemed better organised than last year. Also the kitchen renovations were complete, so no problems with the toaster - big issue for the runner's breakfast! Will be back next year.

The bathroom in the hotel had mould and the room just needed basic maintenance attention. The bathroom in the gym was disgusting and the door was covered with mould and got stuck when closed. Steam room or whatever was out of order and has been for a while apparently. discription of the king room was incorrect.

The hotel is just past the Cross with all its nightlife! but its lcoation is better than that, ease of access to the eastern suburbs at the end of the cross city tunnel makes it a great location wherever you actualy want to get to, 5 minutes form Bondi, Rose Bay or even Darling harbour. Very helpful staff, room service food prices not too epensive and several places for Breakfast / dinner eoither in the hoptel or just a few doors away on Bayswater Rd.

We had a problem on arrival that hotel did not have the hotels.com booking. However staff were friendly and sorted this out and later advised the booking had been saved under my christian name. Breakfast was a bit ordinary. There was a bus stop returning from city centre right outside the hotel, but bus stop leaving hotel was across 2 busy roads. We also used the Kings Cross train station, but didnt feel comfortable late at night in Kings Cross. Location next to the park and rushcutters bay is great, and staff were very friendly and helpful.

The problems of the this hotel are generally the Sydney's problem! that is being PRICY... I do not know why in Sydney hotels do not include breakfast and you need to pay $28/person for a breakfast which is a hell of money...Apart from that generally hotel was ok and clean...

Have stayed here twice before and very happy. This stay was not good. The room was over main road and NOISY. The pillows were atrocious . They were so worn that it was like sleeping on empty pillowcases. Staff did exchange but these were only marginally better. Was moved to another room for the second night and this was quieter but same problem with the pillows! Seriously ,my palms touched when holding the pillow between hands!! I would stya here again but would be making sure pillows were OK before moving into a room.

The Hotel was very nice, but the internet prices were a bit extreme. I would love to see this calculated into the total price.

The Hotel was recommended to me and I'm glad I took up that recommendation. Friendly service, comfortable rooms, and lots of places that are only walking distance from it. I really can't think of anything bad to say about it. Solid all round!

It has a regular AirConnect service, which drops you right at the doorstep from the Airport, nice to book online where you can save ~$5 on total cost. Good surroundings and nice places to eat around in. Kings Cross Station is close by. Vibe itself has a very good resturant on the ground floor, which serves excellent food throughout the day and night :-)

Having chosen the Vibe hotel in Rushcutters Bay as an alternative to the usual hotels in the CBD we were rewarded with total silence, serenity and spectacular views of the Bay. Not one siren or street noise throughout the night - maybe the hotel has invested in double glazing, but whatever, it worked! Thank you! Bonus; large clean room, very comfortable bed and a few steps away from a beautiful park and scenic water views for photography. Very polite and helpful staff. Definitely returning in the near future.

It was not as close or as convenient to the city as I was given to understand in the publicity. When I asked at the desk how to get the city I was advised to get a taxi or alternatively walk towards Kings Cross for the nearest train. I subsequently found a bus stop reasonably close in Craigend Street just across the road from the hotel. The hotel was comfortable, but not worthy of 4 stars; more like a 3 star.

Great location, clean and comfortable rooms. Our stay was a wonderful experience and happy to recommended the hotel.

Maintenance of the rooms is obviously not important to the Vibe. Previous guest in the room commented on the broken blind and it was still broken when I was there. There are better places to stay in Sydney.

One of several Vibe Hotels in Sydney, this one is a A$2 bus ride (stops are really close, you can pay cash going in to town but you will need a prepaid MYBUS card to get out, obtainable in newsagents which in the CBD are not easy to find) from the CBD, bus stops are nearby. Kings Cross is a short Walk as is Paddington. Our room was small for a six night stay, two people couldn't pass each other between the foot of the bed and the desk unit. Otherwise for two 60+ people it was adequate with everything you could need in the room. We had no view and the room was overlooked quite close (10 metres) by another apartment block, so we had to leave the blinds down. The air con was OK, thank goodness because the windows do not open. Room service is at very reasonable cost. Staff were generally very helpful and friendly, smiles all round. Best feature for us was the domestic staff who were superb. Efficient and sensitive. There is wireless/wired internet but the staff were embarrased at the high cost, much cheaper to buy a dongle from the post office in Kings Cross (also friendly and helpful). The walls are thin and while the bathrooms are quiet, it is easy in the bedroom to hear people speaking clearly in the next room. Any 'physical activity' should be enjoyed at your own chosen level of aural exhibitionism. There is an underground car park, but get back early if you want a space. There is a charge but it wasn't applied to our use of the car park. There is a small gym and outdoor pool on the roof where pool towels are provided. The lifts were OK though you will need your room key to make them work in the evenings. We were there on an offer saving about 20% of the rate, making it fair value for money, at the full rate we would certainly look elsewhere. The bed was large (two large singles joined up) but it was very very comfortable. Excellent hotel close to lovely area of Sydney. The centre of Sydney is within walking distance or a short train ride. Would recommend this hotel.

We got our room at a last minute deal and the photos made the room look quite executive but it wasn't all that it appeared. The bed was not very comfortable - looked nice but quite a hard mattress. The air conditioner was noisier than expected. It was also well advertised, in all the lifts, that the pool and gym was up on the top floor. But when we went to use the gym, there was a note on the front door saying that the gym was out of order. Overall we weren't that impressed. We have stayed in plenty of hotels around Australia that are executive and 5-star for the same price per night as what we paid here and this hotel did not stack up to our expectations!

My wife and I stayed five nights. We did not have any bad experiences with noises outside the room and found it to be very clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was a little noisy but well within tolerable limits. There was no view, but at the price, who cares?? We were right next door to Rusgcutters Bay Park where I went for a daily walk. Kings Cross was only a ten minute walk away and transport to any part of the city was just sooo easy. The room was cleaned daily and there was never any question of it being dirty or untidy. I have stayed at a number of hotels around the world and this would have to rate in the top twenty percent.

Staff were courteous, room was clean and adequate. the only thing I can fault with the hotel is the exorbitant fee they charge for in-room online access - over $20 a day! crazy. will need to address that if they want to stay competitive.

I would definitely stay here again. The room was small, as hotel rooms often are, but it was very clean and livable. Location is a short walk to train station.

This hotel served its purpose: a cheap accommodation in Sydney to see the town. The hotel room was very basic, but it was clean and comfortable enough to catch some sleep (being jet-lagged). They allowed us to check in very early, fresh off our flight from the US, so that was a big plus! The surrounding neighborhood can be a bit rowdy with drunken partiers at night, but there were some good restaurants nearby. Most of the attractions and restaurant areas were quite a walk, though. Overall, this was a good experience staying here.

Fantastic, despite a few reviews that concerned me. The walls are a little thin to the interconnecting room, but strangely not 100% of the time. One of the most comfortable beds I've slept in - very friendly staff that were more than helpful. Arranged a 9am check in for me, bus stop just 2mins away. (Train 10mins uphill), reliable taxis. Good food. Breakfast rather expensive, but great little place 100 yds away turning right out of the hotel. Rooftop pool like a bath, with great view of the ocean. Ocean only a few minutes by foot through the park adjoining hotel.

Super hotel for a few nights stay in Sydney, location is lovely & really close to the city & main attractions. Staff were great & lovely rooms.

Very clean and comfortable hotel close to City. Staff were very helpful. Only downfall were very thin walls which could be disturbing at times. Apart from that I would definately stay there again.
