Staff were very helpful, customer service was 100%. We came to Sydney to shop and enjoyed every minute.

We chose this hotel because it was very convenient to a function we were attending and because I have always admired its art deco exterior.Inside the public areas are charming however our room was exceptionally small (being at the end of the corridor ).It did not have a lounge chair to sit in, just a chair at the desk.Both the bed and the pillows were very firm, I prefer a little more comfort.

Excellent hotel / friendly staff / good size room / excellent option of late checkout as had afternoon flight enabled relaxation instead of standard 11am checkout in most hotels. will stay here again!

Large room. Internal room has no view to speak of. Becoming dated.

Two gals visiting Sydney on a short trip. Nice sized room with two very comfy beds. Cabs were plentiful, umbrellas too. Attached cafe was boring, uninviting and no hip bar for night cap but great for sleeping.

Stayed for a couple nights to attend a show at casino. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was great - clean and very comfortable. Location of hotel is great - close to shops, restaurants and transport (buses / trains / taxis). Very much recommend as alternative to your large franchise hotels.

Love them modern rooms and spa n pool area. Will nice friendly staff

Very good location, only short distance from Darling Harbour. Plenty of bars & restaurants close by. We were there for Australia day, so ideal position for the celebrations.

The Grace Hotel was very comfortable and in a great location (corner of York and King Sts). It was a short walk from Wynard train station (which comes from the airport) and the CBD (with a super market just a block away). A taxi rank was also at the front. I have no complaints that the room had no view. Also the bed was very comfortable. I have stayed in more expensive palces where the beds have been very uncomfortable. Also the pillows where just right. Hotels never though have very good irons in there rooms. I will be staying here again next time I'm in Sydney.

When we arrived at the hotel at around 11.00pm there was no-one to help with our bags. Pleasantly surprised with thesize of the room. Very good lift service.Disappointed with the room service breakfast menu-no a'la carte menu only Australian or Continental breakfasts. Coffee shop good but closed at 3.00pm meaning the only places to eat were the Irish pub, which was good value,or room service. Wood definitely stay there again but would appreciate free WiFi.

Nice hotel at the center of downtown Sydney. Walking distance to darling harbor, Chinatown, shopping, two blocks from George st. Excellent transportation wherever you want to go. close tour restaurants and groceries.

Stayed in Deluxe King - had issue which was promptly sorted - requested City View but initially given internal court view. Very nice hotel, swimming pool, sauna, hot tub an level 11 (access by room key which meant only used by hotel guests. O'Briens Bar on ground floor could be noisy early evening. Excellent location within 15 minutes walk of Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and neighbouring suberbs, and within 5 minutes walk of Wynyard Train station (only five/six stops from Airport

My wife and I had a great over night stay. The location is about halfway beween The QVB and the Rocks, also very close to Darling Harbour. A great location. The Hotel is in the 'artdeco' style, and has been well renovated, keeping its charm. Room was a good size and we had an early morning swim in their lap pool. Robes for the pool would have been handy but were not supplied by the Hotel. Yes we would stay there again.

The Grace is right in the heart of the city so close to Wynard Station and round the corner to the best shopping in Sydney . Loved the lap pool staff were very friendly next time in Sydney we will stay here

Very central to shopping, sightseeing and public transport. A great place to stay.

Our stay at the Grace was generally pleasant with only a few minor glitches which could easily be overlooked -- things such as not all the wastebaskets emptied every day; towels not designated for replacement vanishing and not being replaced. The staff was generally pleasant and helpful; we found the chief concierge particularly helpful especially when our daughter needed to visit a local doctor. The primary shortcoming in our view was the restaurant situation both at the hotel and in the surrounding neighborhood; restaurant options were limited in terms of hours open and types available. Otherwise it was a good place to stay.

The grace hotel was clean & quite close to shops, the room was smaller then other hotels i've stayed at in sydney but overall ok..the chief concierge at the grace was a standout giving me great information on what to see & do in sydney..

Centre of town, lovely decor, comfortable room.

Close to The Rocks and Circular Quay about a 15 minute walk and the main shopping area is a block away. The hotel itself brings you back to the Art Deco area it's truly beautiful. Rooms are modern style, large, comfortable and very clean. Free tea and coffee making facilities and well stocked mini bar. Breakfast was not included in the price but was reasonably priced. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient.

thai massage at hotel spa, convenient walk for sea food platter experience, stroll back. In the morning, another stroll through QVB for shopping, George Street cinemas for movie then the best laksa in Sydney on Hunter St. Does that sound like a convenient location central to everything ?

The Grace is a wonderful hotel - the hotel itself is a wonderful example of the architecture of the period, the rooms are tremendous and the staff are great. I now make a point of staying at The Grace - it is far superior to any other hotel I have stayed at in Sydney.

I stayed at the Grace hotel for 3 nights in June and had an excellent experience. The concierge were beyond helpful throughout our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the heart of Sydney. The hotel is technically a historic structure that has been renovated (the rooms are very modern) which gives it a little extra personality. Location - the hotel is in an excellent location. We could walk to the ferry terminal as well as the aquarium, many restaurants and chinatown with no problem. If you need to go further, there is a taxi stand located directly out the front door of the hotel. The hotel also had a nice irish pub and excellent cafe attached to the lobby. Service - We arrived at 8 am with a reservation for that night. They had both rooms ready for us and let us check in early! After that many hours of traveling, it was a wonderful surprise. During our stay, the hotel allowed us to borrow everything from an umbrella to a wheelchair at no cost. They made many dinner reservations for us, recommended activities, and provided us with directions all over the city. Rooms - The rooms were very large and had very comfortable beds. I was expecting the room to by similar to an NYC hotel room but it was nothing like that. We had a king bed, desk, and couch in our room.

My wife and I stayed at the Grace on a few occasions as rooms were still available last minute. While usually not the best sign, we had a great stay. The Grace is located right in the middle of downtown - easy walk to The Quay, Hyde Park and George Street. Rooms were all reasonably spacious with all the amenities you would expect including a large tub in each room. Staff was incredibly courteous including check -in, concierge, room service and help desk. Only knock to be aware of is $25/day for internet though I don't think that's unusual. Overall a great stay, particularly at a lower price than the comparable hotels in the area, and one I would repeat anytime.

I was a bit supprised when I arrived there and the reception desk telling me that they had never heard about hotels.com. And my reservation was not registered. But everything turned out OK and the hotel was nice.

Our room was opposite the hotels adminisrative office! and a constant stream of staff banging the office door did not bode well for a peaceful stay.... the view was of the internal windows of other rooms ,, very gloomy. disapointed!

Stayed for 6 nights while attending trade fair at darling harbour. Very convenient location. Pleasant 10 minute walk to exhibition building. Hotel staff were well trained and helpful. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. Only negative was the traffic noise. There is no double glazing and the hotel is located on a very busy city intersection. We had a corner room on 4th floor and after requesting a quieter room we were moved to the 10th floor but it was not much quieter and unfortunately not as nice a room. While using the pool I noticed the hotel is built around a quadrangle so naturally these inner rooms would be quieter. And i noticed they had opening windows too. Why didn't we get moved to one of these rooms when they were obviously quieter? Perhaps because we had prepaid for amore expensive room and they would have had to refund us some money.Who knows. In any case we just put up with the noise.

Great hotel, great location. Rooms were very big and nice and quiet. Beds were very comfortable, which is rare. I would definately recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues.

I loved how convenient the Grace Hotel was to all downtown attractions. We walked to Hyde Park, the Rocks and Sydney Opera House. The room was very clean and the hotel staff was friendly and provided excellent service. My only complaint is that while the room was cool on the hot summer days we were there, it was very humid, so the sheets felt sticky at night.

Good convenient location 10-15 minutes walk from Sydney Harbour, although not exceptional. Friendly and efficient service, large and quiet rooms recently renovated. My deal included internet access, which was good. Expensive breakfast (even with 'deal'), I took it outside.

Brilliant location in centre of everything. Right by Westfield shopping precinct and 5 mins Darling Harbour. Easy to get cheap breakfast if you don't want to eat in hotel. 10 minute walk to circular quays Smallish room but 2 comfortable doubles and flat screen tv. Some traffic noise in am if you face onto York St but not enough to put me off

lovely older hotel refurbished . very comfortable , with very good staff . two resteraunts one being cafe style altho a little on the expensive side . on the outside corner is pj obriens irish hotel , nice spot for a drink and a pub type meal of large proportions and well priced. we enjoyed our stay

The check in was efficient and friendly. Staff were poliet and helpful during our time at the hotel, from giving us directions to wherever we were heading on that particular day. The room was excellent, though the view could be better (but what can u do with all the high-rises, surrounding you :) ). All in all, i would definately come back to Grace Hotel, and grace hotel would be in my memory for a very very long time because there's where i propose to my lady. :) Last but not least, for a hotel that has a historical past, the management, staff and owner of the hotel has done an excellent job in ensuring the Facade of the Hotel is maintained and also the internal operation, maintenance and decor was something to be proud of.

A lovely classic hotel, lots of art deco styling. Large rooms and best of all a steam room and sauna! Close to everything and a really helpful concierge

I was able to get my stay at this hotel from hotels.com at 1/2 price due to one of their sales. I had already decided to come to Sydney for the Sydney marathon and this hotel made me feel welcome without being intrusive. Great location just back from George street and in the middle of the CBD so close to everything including the underground. Clean large room and quiet hotel made for a pleasant stay and a PB in the marathon.

Lovely hotel, excellent room and facilities and friendly staff. Only downside was a slightly noisy Friday night band in a nearby music bar.

close to everything - at most its a 30min walk to all the best clubs/bars you need a deposit on top of cost which you get back after your stay + they take a copy of your drivers license. Its not a 4 or 5 star hotel ! but location and cost make it good & worthwhile in that sense.
