Holiday Inn Express San Diego - SeaWorld Area - سان دييجو

The rooms are clean but the hotel itself was renovated from old building. The second layer curtains in the room did not close completely. The thinner ones did close but we felt its transparent at night. So we had to clip them together at night. The neighborhood is not that great for walking outside. But if you are always driving out you are fine. Breakfast ok and staff was nice. The location is very close to Sea World (about 2-3 miles). But they do not have a shuttle service.

This is the only place we will when we are in San Diego. It is very nice, clean. The staff is very nice. Love the complimentary breakfeast. It is close to a lot of activities. Randy

Friendly staff, great room, awesome breakfast. It was only 7 minutes from Sea World, glad we stayed!

This hotel is in a rough commercial area with a homeless / vagrant presence. Easy freeway access to the beach, I-8, and I-5. Close to shopping and restaurants... but tough to navigate due to road medians. Not to bad if u don't mind a lot u turns. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good breakfast. Parking is tight for full size cars / trucks

Really good place with plenty of room for the whole family. Convenient restaurants close by and right around the corner feom sea world. The staff was nice and helpful.

Pros: The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The free hot breakfast was nice and convenient.The hotel is located close to all the San Diego attractions so it was easy drive to all the locations. Cons: It was a bit noisy. The rooms weren't too insulated so you heard a lot of noise from the hall way and rooms next door.

Bad neighborhood, too noisy from Airport.

Free parking, breakfast and internet are great to have. Eat at Phil's BBQ around the corner, but careful as the line gets very long during peak times.

the hotel is in a good location, free breakfast was great, they had eggs, bacon, pancakes, fruit, toast, bagels, yougurt, milk, coffee, and various juices, i would stay here again, the only down side is the parking, if you have a full size truck, you have to get there early to find a spot, mid-size cars will have no problem, but i would stay here again. hotel staff was friendly, free wifi, rooms where comfortable, huge bathroom, comfortable beds.

The location was great for Seaworld and using the freeway. The beds were very uncomfortable and hot to sleep on. It seemed like they had some type of plastic over the mattress that made you sweat during the night. Breakfast was disappointing and it was very crowded. We will not stay at this hotel again.

From start to finish the staff said and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. Even the breakfast staff that had to work through the crowd to refill food items. Is this hotel perfect? Nope. The halls were vacumed, but you could see the dust stripe along the walls. Our room was clean, but not sparkling. The breakfast seating was too much during the week, and not enough on weekends. The parking... was stressful. All the parking spots in San Diego seem to be slightly more narrow the usual. Parking at the hotel involves careful percision manuvers and trust that others will do the same. Why would go back? The staff was nice, the beds were new, the room was cleaned (we were there for five days), and the breakfast was reliably satisfying. The breakfast attendents were quick to refill things, and they didn't start putting things away until five, or ten minutes after they were to close. My wife and I laughed the whole time about how some had complained that this hotel was in a bad neighborhood. We thought the location was great. The main reason we would go back is because the beds were good, the breakfast was good, we had no problems, and if we had, I would have felt comfortable asking the staff for help.

The staff was wonderful...very kind and happy to help. They offered chocolate chip cookies and complimentary bottled water; little things that made our stay a bit extra special. Yes, the parking spots are a bit small but that's pretty typical of the San Diego area, not just the hotel! Overall, we were very pleased with our stay.

Slept well and kids had enough space to move around. Just felt that breakfast ended to early. Staff was very respectful.

Excellent location - close to Sea World and other shopping, restaurants. Hotel also very well kept. Parking spaces could be expanded for sure. Overall - excellent.

The place is very close to all the must see sights around San Diego. The Stay was great and had very good breakfast. I wasn't happy of the smell in the room, other than all went well.

This is a really nice HI Express, and the service was very friendly and professional. Complimentary breakfast was good, and the hotel is conveniently located near Interstate 8. While there are a number of places to eat all within walking distance, the area is a little run down. I did not feel unsafe, but there were a few vagrants, one of whom stumbled into the lobby of the hotel the night we were there. We walked to the Red Lobster down the road for dinner, but there were many choices in the area, Jack in the Box, Wendys, BBQ, Chinese Buffet, fish tacos, Denny's, etc.

The fridge was not plugged in and didn't notice until it was too late and our kids' milk and food spoiled....the parking lot is real bad...most people have SUV's since families are on the road and spaces are designed for a Corolla. The plus side is the front desk went the extra mile and found my cell phone and called me with mailing arrangements after my 2-year-old 'hid' it between the mattress and box springs.

Rooms are nicely remodeled. The only drawback to this hotel is the parking - although it is free, the parking spaces are incredibly tight, making a third of them unusable, especially for anything other than a super small car. If you get back to the hotel later than most guests, count on having to park in the street in a less than desirable neighborhood.

Hotel room and bathroom is nice. Everything is good for my family. I think that you will never regret to decide this hotel.

We were very happy with our stay. Very clean and new; very friendly staff. The best continental breakfast we have ever had!! Great variety with several protein choices. Very close to Sea World. The only slightly negative thing I can come up with is the neighborhood. It certainly isn't scary bad - we never felt unsafe; just not as family-friendly. That being said we will definitely stay here again - great value for the price.

good hotel, very nice stuff, good value of the money. There are no king size bad, beside of that great stay.

in an overpriced san diego nice hotel in a questionable neighborhood ,but very nice for the price, clean with nice staff. would recommend

We stayed here for a trip to SeaWorld. Location for visiting SeaWorld is great. Close to lots of dining spots. Staff was helpful & friendly. Morning breakfast was far more than doughnuts & milk; lots of variety. Breakfast staff worked very hard to keep things stocked and clean. Pool was small but clean; hot tub was good. Mapquest directions to find the hotel were spot on; no trouble pulling up. Downsides: staff's English was challenging to follow; parking is ridiculously small--no way our minivan could fit in 1 spot; the surrounding neighborhood is not great. Overall a decent place to stay for the $$.

hotel is okay for the price but you can hear all the street noice and above floor people walking steps. area is okay. If you stay in the hotel, don't forget to try Phill's BBQ place. That's the best BBQ you will ever try.

Seriously super easy to get to beach's,zoo and seaworld . Many restaurants near bye and the value of this place trumps even places with double the rates .At first was a little Leary but a one night stay turned into a six nighter so yes very happy customer.

The hotel was very nice and the breakfast was quite good. The hotel is difficult to find, and the parking is pretty limited but all in all, a nice place at a reasonable price. Pretty convenient to everything in San Diego.

Surprisingly clean with a friendly staff. Continental breakfast was Ok. Close to the freeway for conveniency.

So very happy w/my stay there... The staff was very welcoming, the bed was perfect (the linens were the best I've seen, & esp liked providing both 'soft' & 'firm' pillows) & the breakfast buffet was a great variety & tasty... I'm glad I picked this place & will definitely stay there again. Thank you to the complete staff of this hotel for everything.

This hotel is very conviently located distance wise to Seaworld, and the service to customers is very nice, but other then that I wouldn't recommend it. We stayed here to go to Seaworld on a wknd get a way and had to sleep with earplugs. The rooms are not sound proof and it gets very loud and roudy. When we arrived at our room our view was a brick wall; not very attractive. The free breakfast in the morning is delicious. The rooms are nicely decorated and the hotel is kept very clean. Don't expect to see any type of view, sleep very well or be in a nice surrounding area. If those are important aspects to you, go somewhere else.

The hotel was tough to find, and to drive to once found; lots of U-turns were involved the first time! But it was a nice, comfortable place once I finally got there. The breakfast was superb--the largest selection of options I have ever seen for a free breakfast service, and good quality products. The most problematic aspect of my stay was the Internet service. The Wifi connection kept shutting down in my room, so I had to avail myself of the public computer in the lobby; even that connection was often slow and occasionally shut down. Weird.

Great hotel but the parking was very bad tight spots so if you have a nice car get a spot early

We (A young couple with two toddlers) stayed in this hotel for two nights. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel and the comfort of our room. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and the beds were very soft and comfortable! The breakfast was great! Your usual hotel fare- yogurt, bread, muffins, oatmeal, cereal, etc... PLUS, a pancake machine that makes two fresh and fluffy pancakes in about 90 seconds and bacon, eggs, omlettes, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and cinnamon rolls. Great selection! The pool is tiny. But, we didn't really care. We had the whole thing to ourselves, anyway. And, the parking lot was under the hotel and the spots WERE small as others said. But, when we went (Sept), there were plenty of available spots so you could spread out. It was literally 3 mins from seaworld, about 10 from the zoo, and.... 5ish mins from the beach. All driving. We will definitely stay here again! Oh, and the chocolate chip cookies in the lobby were a nice treat to go with the boys milk at bedtime. :)

Hotel was very nice, room was great, staff was awesome! The neighborhood was iffy and GPS had difficulty getting me there. Overall, I would go back. The breakfast was included and was very good.

It was first tough for us to locate the hotel as it is kind of hidden inside. The neighbourhood is not as pleasing as I would like it to be. But the comforts of the hotel are upto holiday inn express standards with wifi , parking and complimentary breakfast. Their inhouse laundry facility is perfect as well. It is a couple of mins drive to sea world and if you are just looking for an affordable nightcap- this place is the best !

Excellent hotel in great location.

I was very happy and satisfied in this hotel.The room, bathroom and sheets are really clean.the breakfast was so good.And the best part was the front desk person, Gabie .She's really very nice and accomodating.You will not hesitate to ask anything from her bec.she's willing to help and answer all your questions.keep up the good job Gabie and thank you for your help.
