Semiahmoo Resort - Golf - Spa - باليني

We arrived on Saturday and stayed through part of the week so it may be busier on the weekends but we found it to be a great quiet get away to spend our time. It is an isolated location but beautiful, quiet, right on the ocean. We travel with out dogs and there were great walking trails on the water as well as the rocky beaches for us and them. Great spa massage, and there are two restaurants on site.

Beautiful location - there are wooden decks all along the waterfront with fantastic ocean views. Packers bar also has a great view over the ocean - gorgeous for sunset dinning. The menu at packers is very reasonably priced - although my partner did get a piece of what looked like raw bacon in her rum and coke. We had a really good breakfast too. The service in general was all pretty good. The room was nice and comfortable, and everything worked perfectly, though it was not the newest, nor did it have the best quality finish. There were other small bathroom curiosities such as faux "Quality French soap" made in China, but in general everything was good. It seems there are good deals mid-week, while weekends are maybe a bit too pricey.

This is the first time we stayed. Family of four. Beautiful location which is off the highway in a secluded area that is pieceful on the water. Food was good at dinner in the pub and then for breakfast. Would definitely go again.

My wife and I are very fond of this place. The rooms are nice and the walk along the beach very relaxing.

This resort was wonderful because it is huge and there are many indoor facilities such as: indoor tennis courts, ping pong table, very well equipped exercise room, a hot pool, numerous sitting areas with couches facing the shore, coffee shop, vast hallways in which to walk around.

Great scenic location and dog friendly. One piece of furniture was badly scratched and should have been refinished. Quiet time to be there just before Christmas. Loved walking the shoreline.

A wonderful place to stay in the summer, still nice in the winter. It's peaceful, rustic Pacific Northwest style is very relaxing. 3 sides by water, you look across the water to White Rock, Canada and can walk up and down the spit of land on a paved path. There is also a grassy field or two where you can walk your dog. Placed adjacent to two marinas, it is delightful to sit on the deck and watch boats go in & out of the bay.

Having read previous reviews only after I made a non refundable reservation, I was a little worried. I think though that the hotel was great, the staff were friendly at check in and we got upgraded to an ocean view room. The ambiance in the Stars Restaurant was not that great, but the 3 piece jazz band at Oyster bar made up for it and we danced the night away after dinner. All in all a great weekend get away and dont let the reviews fool you

When we stepped into the lobby, we were immediately happy with our choice of hotels. It is very warm and inviting, the staff at the front desk, very welcoming. While I have read other comments from fellow travellers about the condition of the hotel (being worn and dated), this is true in the hallways going toward the guest rooms, but the rest of the hotel is quite lovely. Our room was fabulous, had a balcony facing the ocean. The barbecue and music they provided on Friday night was a nice addition to our evening. Loved this place and would definitely stay her again if we are ever in the area.

location is bad the hotel looks like it will close for bankupcy tomorrow

We arrived late for a girls weekend but the hotel staff was very friendly and informational. The room was clean and comfortable. Looked like a lot of places to eat. We went down to Stars? for breakfast. They looked a little understaffed and couldn't get to us right away. The spa was very nice and relaxing. The waiting room inbetween services, was SOOOO nice and relaxing. I could of stayed in there all day long. I received a scrub. My lady seemed very rushed and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. I expected a somewhat of a massage with the scrub and with the lotion after the shower, not so much. It was just wiped on me. I then had about two hours to relax. I decided to sit in the steam room. So after I layed down my towel I looked around and discovered a reminanaces of poop. Needless to say I spent the rest of my time in the waiting room with a book. My facial was with the same girl, the first half hour seemed rushed again, but the last half she seemed to calm down and I was able to enjoy it. With the eye cover on, I took a small nap. Now I don't know if I am well taken care of with my regular girls or what. But I was not impressed with my lady. My friend on the other hand enjoyed her services which were a seaweed wrap and a mani. Even tho, I did not have a "wonderful" expericence, I would try this place again with another person. I am a hair stylist and I take very good care of my clients and I was hoping for the same care. This is a very beautiful place and would bring my husband back for a romantic weekend.

Great location. Good waterfront dining. Nice rooms that could use some refreshing. Carpet and upholstery showing signs of wear. Hot water was scalding and cold water too hot to take a shower. Moved us to another room. Wife left phone charger in first room. Called 4 times after we left before we got a response that no charger was found. That's kind of a sore spot.

We really enjoyed our stay! Room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The food was great and the atmosphere was awesome!

Nice. They should improve the hot tub area. It looked a bit dumpy. Everything else was really nice.

Wonderful setting, very quiet and on the edge of the ocean. I will be back. The only draw back was we book for 3 in the room and it was not prepared for 3. Communication with housekeeping in this regard would be helpful.

Nice quiet relaxing place, with first class golf courses.

This was the 2nd time for me at the Semiahmoo Resort. This time we took advantage of a massage at the Spa. Definately worth it. Services are a little on the pricey side, however, you get what you paid for. The people providing the service are qualified and professional - I will be booking a massage when we go again next time. We had a room facing the ocean, and it was perfect - the resort is an excellent get away when you just want to relax.

A beautiful example of a nw getaway. Quiet peaceful excellent views of the mountain and water.

We had heard that it was shabby and not too well cared for as it was on the market. We found it to be comparable to many other 4 and 5 start hotels we've stayed in. Very clean and comfortable and quiet and relaxing.

Staff were very pleasant. Our needs were attended to promptly. The hotel is very roomy and has many amentities. Looking a little tired in places. The bar was disappointing, out-dated and felt disjointed from the eating area. Food was not up to par at all, it was bland and not very fresh. The pool was great and warm enough for March temperatures. Gym was good and all spa treatments were available for use during our stay. Sports facilities are very good. The surrounding area is very rustic, the nearby coffee/gift shop could be made more of a feature, it didn't make me want to spend time in there. Great photo ops and lots of space for the kids to run around.

This resort is located in an amazing area right on the Pacific Ocean. The surroundings are beautiful and the resort has so much to offer. The staff are very friendly and efficient both in the hotel and the restaurant. The food and drinks were delicious! I haven't been to this property for over 25 years but will plan another return trip soon.

This was our first visit. It seems a little dated and the place was pretty quiet, but it was clean. The staff was extremely helpful in guiding us around and giving us special treatment. They changed the evening to movie in the theater to one of our choice because we were the only ones there. The pool and spa area were enjoyable, although the pool had quite a few leaves in it.

When we arrived to the room ~ 80 degF. Turned room temp control down. Room stayed hot. Turned temp down more, room stayed hot. Turned heat off, room stayed hot. Opened windows (around 40dF outside) cooled off room, shut windows and soon too hot again with heat still turned off. Had to sleep with window open to keep it cool enough.

The Semiahmoo Resort is a great getaway. It is near the Canadian border, on an isolated spit of land. Be sure to pay the extra money for the Water view. This faces directly out across the bay to White Rock Canada. The room was comfortable. Our deluxe room was laid out a little odd - long and narrow with a lot of dead space. We don't watch TV, but the cabinet was facing into the room where that blank space was so that you could not really watch from the bed. The restaurant was pretty lackluster. The fancy "Star" restaurant was closed for the season (a fact which is not stated on their website). Our waitress says the hotel has been sold to new owners, so no one knows whether that restaurant will even open back up in spring 2011. So if you are a foodie, I would call and check first.

This was a great place to stay. The staff was very accomodating and helpful. The room was delightful and the view was wonderful. We only ate at the restaurant one time, but it was delicious!

Semiahmoo Resort was a wonderful location for a short, relaxing getaway.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, lots of woodwork an special touches. The lobby is large, bright and as a first impression - very impressive! The staff at check in were so pleasant and accomodating - a preview of every single staff member! The hotel is easily navigated - our room easy to find. Upon opening the door to our room I was absolutely in awe! We looked straight out of very large windows to a spectacular view of the ocean! The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We got settled and went for a walk through the rest of the hotel. Throughout the entire property we experienced excellent customer service and pleasant people. We dined in both Packers and Stars - fantastic!!! We stayed for two nights - slept better than ever. A comfortable bed and the sounds of the ocean!! We hated to leave - but are planning a return trip soon!!!

I stayed at the hotel for a wedding, it was a great place to have a wedding, otherwise, I would find no other reason to go there, personally. The rooms were not that great for the price, but the food and service was great. We did not get to use the other facilities so I can't comment on those. The hotel rooms definately need updating, everything looks worn well. The carpets especially need to be cleaned or replaced. That was my first impression, though it was a tidy hotel otherwise.

Great place to stay. The Resort is nestled in between it's own peninsula. On one side are magestic views of Mt. Baker and on the other a great view of the Pacific and the San Juans in the distance. The accomodations are very pleasant and they have an awesome gym! All kinds of weight training machines, aerobic machines and even an in-door track. The restaurants aren't bad and the prices are not excessive. All in all, a great place to go visit on your way to Vancouver or coming from there. It's also a great place to stay even if you're staying in Bellingham and surrouding areas. Totally recommend it.

We were able to get away, relax, and truly enjoy all of our time there. The staff was friendly and unobtrusive yet there when you needed them. The amenities were great and the food excellent. I would recommend this place to anyone!
