Residence Inn By Marriott San Diego Downtown - سان دييجو

The hotel was in north San Diego close to the airport and Little Italy. It worked very well for us with the 2BR suite. Walking distance to Little Italy. Management was very helpful in recommending activities, restaurants, areas to visit. Only negative was near train track. No train horn at night. Good night sleep. Wonderful mattress.

Great location, wonderful room, breakfast was good, shuttle service was a bonus. I will stay there again.

Parking wasn't very good.$14 a night and they weren't responsible for theft or damage to any vehicle. No security

Rooms had everything we needed. specially the free beer and food.

This hotel was very run down and old. Our room was supposed to be non-smoking but there were cigarette butts in the window and so much cleaner was sprayed in the room when we walked in I could barely breathe. There are no blackout curtains and a very bright light outside the window. If you can fall asleep with the light, good luck staying asleep with the train that runs by all night. We also only got 1 towel for the room. When we called down to get more towels they did not bring them up and had to call again. Spend the extra money and stay somewhere else; it will make your vacation MUCH better!

If you don't have small children, this is a nice hotel for the money. The location is nice if you prefer the Little Italy section of San Diego. Close to the train station and airport.

The suite we had at the Residence Inn, San Diego, CA, was very comfortable, good location, accessible to taxis and public transportation. Nice to have buffet breakfasts, other amenities. Staff was very nice and accommodating.

the residence inn was a 3 minute shuttle ride to the airport. i took someone else's recommendation to stay in the front of the hotel to avoid the train noise -- good suggestion. but they put us right by the side entrance so it got a little noisy at night with people going in and out of the hotel and the slamming side door. but overall, i was very pleased with the cleanliness and convenience of our stay. i will stay at future residence inns.

I was totally pleased with the room. Although it's not in the middle of downtown, it's not very far from it, and right next to Little Italy for some good eats, and the water if you want to take a walk along the boardwalk. The room was huge for the price, and included basically a full kitchen. Totally comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was good as well. Yeah, you pay extra for parking, but that seems to be the case anywhere in San Diego. Highly recommend this place.

Great staff who was very friendly. It was nice to have a good breakfast included. Hotel was in a very industrial part of town - conveniently close to Seaport Village and some other tourist spots, but very industrial.

My stay here was great. Woke up every morning to a great breakfast buffet downstairs. The only bad part was the seating, there weren't enough tables but we just sat outside since it was a nice day. Also the staff was great when I had to take my son to the doctor. They gave me phone numbers & addresses to all the nearest ERs and urgent care. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel. & its also just a few minutes away from sea world, sand disgorge zoo, and the port.

What a great place to take the family! Conveniently located in Downtown San Diego. Walking distance to everything! Awesome!

Great staff, excellent location and very comfortable rooms.

This hotel I've seen several times, and decided to see how it is. I was very satisfied, and amazed with the service and the quaility of the room. I felt like I was at home. A home away from home, a two bedroom suite was amazing. I have a time share and I felt like I was there. With the full kitchen and great seperate bedrooms. I think I've found my permanant hotel staysin this place. Great job!

I had a good time and my dauthers really enjoy the swimming pool and jacussi.. I will recommend this hotel for family and friends. I will use this hotel next time I go to San Diego Zoo!

We really didn't plan to go into Gaslamp or do much sight seeing so the room was perfect for our plan of staying in. We did venture out into Little Italy for some food and went shopping the next day. About a 5 minute drive into downtown and with the free shuttle, location isn't bad at all. No noise complaints, lots of pillows and good sized room.

Good hotel for the price...staff could have been more professional.

Great hotel for business. Located right by the airport. Convenient to downtown and to highways. But, the railroad is right around the corner and the train conductors seem to blow the horn every time they go by. Neighborhood is quite industrial- not great if travelling with kids or looking for tourist spots. Stay in Gaslamp if you are travelling on vacation. But, can't blame the hotel for the neighborhood. Residence Inn staff is friendly and helpful. Love the free evening buffet dinner. Room is very comfortable. Note: $14 per day for parking- OUCH!!! That is the main reason I can't give top rating. But, overall, good spot to stay for business.

Our friends room's air conditioner flooded their carpet. They got moved and the new room was next to the train that blew its horn all night long. It was clean but there has to be better hotels than this. Also very nice buffet breakfast but my milk was VERY sour and the yogurt was sour also. Unfortunately we didn't realize that until after the kids had finished theirs.

Great stay!!! We enjoyed great meals at Fish resturants that were walking distance. Close to mexican food in Old Town. Took in cruise for dinner, trolly rides and Sea World. Mission Beach close by, drove around great neighborhoods. Close accessto Rts 8 and 5. Wed. nite happy hour with HB and HD and all he trimmings were great.

A great Hotel with lots of very friendly service, an outstanding reception team. The rooms were perfect for our family travels in California. Lovely swimming pool, and excellent for relaxing at the end of the day. A well positioned hotel, near the front and San Diego centre (via the trolley). Finally, the breakfasts were immense - especially the amazing waffle machine.

We supposedly got a special rate that was about half of the regular rate. At the reduced price, it was a good value, but I would have been irritated if we had paid closer to full price. The room size, amenities and breakfast were all very good. But the construction and decor left something to be desired. I also didn't appreciate having to pay extra for the parking. If you're planning to rent a car out of the SD airport, save a few bucks and don't pick it up until after you plan to leave the city. (Or drop it off at the airport the night before your flight.) The hotel is just a few blocks from the airport and they have a shuttle to/from the airport.

I got a great deal on my room through the internet! It was a neatly kept hotel with a great continental breakfast. The only problem I had during my stay was with the air conditioner but as soon as I addressed the issue, matinence was there to fix it within minutes. Turns out the rooms had sensors for inactivity and one was missing so the room was staying at an uncomfortable 77 degrees. But they took care of it right away and everything turned out fine. Great hotel!

Got an awesome room rate for a king suite, last minute deal! Awesome location right in the heart of Little Italy about a mile from Gaslamp district. Stayed for 1 night to see a show @ House of Blues so convenient! Room was clean. Full kitchen w full size refrigerator stove and dishwasher! Wow! Also included utensils and coffeemaker yay! Be aware of Celena's pizza!!!! Lil companies slide menus thru your door. Beware!!!! Do not order. Call the front desk for delivery suggestions. Celena's is a rip off! Only delivered my pizza and overcharged me from what they said on the phone. Didnt deliver my salad brownies and cheese bread as promised and waited over 2 1/2 hours! Rip offthe hotel staff was so nice though. Good pool and jacuzzi and even has an area for a fire outside. Will def come back. Great hotel and staff!

After a week at Mission Beach, I needed one night close to Sante Fe station ready for an early departure. Location is brilliant, 200 m from Little Italy trolley station, two blocks from LIttle Italy, 500 m from Sante Fe station and a short walk to downtown. My room was next to the train tracks: I fell asleep promptly and slept well, BNSF did not disturb me. Compared to rooms at Mission Beach, these offered SOOOOO much more. My only complaints were that one TV remote did not work, and I could not get an ADSL connection although WiFi worked fine. I got a great hotels.com price, but if I need to be in or near downtown this location is brilliant.

Only stayed 2 nights, wanted something close to the downtown area but with easy access to the airport. We got what we wanted and all of the staff members were friendly and hospitable. I would recommend this hotel to any looking to get away for a few days to San Diego.

This hotel is in a great location. It's close to everything! Even the train track. I was nearly deterred from booking this room based on others' reviews of the train noise, but it wasnt that bad. It was audible while I was awake, but it did not prevent me from missing any sleep. Staff was great and very helpful.

Hotel is clean, bed is comfortable, complimentary breakfast was awesome, exercise room & swimming pool available, staff was nice and price was GREAT! Everything worked out fine. Recommended!

This was a very nice hotel. Clean, great breakfast, very friendly staff. The only drawback was the train noise. The train runs about every 30 minutes and blows its horn. Fortunately, it didnt run during sleeping hours so other than being a little bit bothered during daylight hours, it was tolerable. We also asked for a quiet room away from the train noise and were assured that we were given the quietest room but we doubt that. It was steps from the train tracks. Looking at the hotel, there were quieter rooms available. But I would still recommend this hotel if you get a good deal on it's price. The pros outweighed the cons.

The train tracks are located within 50 feet from the hotel.All night long every 15 minutes the trains would honk there horn. Its not worth it. Go somewhere else fora good nites sleep.

Room had a full kitchen. Great for cooking small meals and keeping the cost of the trip down. Room had a balcony which would have been great if the weather was nicer. Pool and hot tub were clean but busy. Other reviewers complain about the train noise, but with the windows closed you can't even hear it.

Amanda at the front desk was a top performer. She was extremely helpful and should be rewarded for her quality service.

Nothing indicated that this hotel sits right on railroad tracks carrying Santa Fe trains. Noise is bad--warning horns sound frequently as well as the train noise on tracks. Room was not cleaned after first night until after 5 pm the next day but they came in early and took the dirty towels so we had no towels all day.

The location of this property is perfect. Walking distance to the bay. Walking distance to the ferry to Coronado Island. Trolley ride to Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter. Mid class facility. The only draw back was the shuttle to and from airport was not available for our late arrival and early departure. Taxi both ways.
