Overall is good; however, the internet connection was poor. This was a problem to follow up with business e-mails. In the future I will stay at a different hotel. Thank you.

I booked this hotel for a romantic overnight with me and my girlfriend. We absolutely loved it!! We stayed in the King suite with the jetted Jacuzzi tub and loved the room!! We liked it so much we have decided to book another getaway there.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The in room hot tub was excellent. The hot tub was large enough for us both comfortably im 6'3" tall and had plenty of room. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. Over all it was a fantastic room and well under tge price of other hotels in the area with in room hot tubs.

I had booked a "suite" with a jacuzzi tub. It was a bit more expensive than I would have liked ($104) and the room was nothing special although entirely adequate. The only thing that was nice was the tub. The main issue was noise. The room was on the ground floor very near the reception area and an outside exit. Noise was continuous day and night, including loud groups of people passing by shouting. It is near where people walk to get to the breakfast area and the reception staff play a TV very loud. Had trouble resting or sleeping. I wouldn't stay in this sort of room again although perhaps the upper floor rooms are ok.

it was a great stay. Complimentary breakfast was excellent, good protein choices.

very much enjoyed it, had been told i could leave car there if i stayed and get a shuttle to the airport with out charge, was disappointed to find the charge for that. had a wonderful full breakfast included in the stay that was very nice.

Overall, a good stay. The washroom was a bit old and dated and the sink was way too low? The breakfast was a bit weak but served its purpose with two young children.

The shuttle was late to the airport upon arrival. That and hearing a different driver complain about not receiving a tip for 10 minutes work were the only down sides. He was talking about me, but didn't realize I was within ear-shot. He took me to and from the Tri-Met station for the game. Me, by myself, no bags or anything. Guess I forgot to tip. Forgot. Not necessary. To each his own. The front desk staff was very helpful with local restaurant info, business center issues, etc. Shuttle service to a nearby Tri-Met (Portland light rail-Cascade station) was also provided and made getting to the game very simple. To sum up... Conveniently located from the airport (was very quiet), Tri-Met, nearby shopping, clean, great breakfast, great service. Great value all around and may stay again in the future.

The hotel was a bit dated, and the room had a srange smell to it. It was nice to have a micrwave and fridge. Overall the room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was hot and good. The staff that ran breakfast was a bit rude. Beware incidental charges are $100/night! I would probably stay at the Hampton Inn next time, since I will be returning to the Portland area again soon.

This hotel was disgusting. It was dark. The person at the front desk smelled like alcohol and cirarettes. We asked for a room above the first floor and were denied. The room smelled so bad like fabreez we had no idea what smell they were trying to cover. It was so bad we didn't stay and walked out!

Room smelled of cigarettes and air freshener lighting was horrible customer service was excellent!

Overall stay was satisfying. However, we were not very pleased with the cleaning maid. The maids trying to enter the room twice in the morning at 7am when the check out time is 11am. First time was at 7:00 when we were all sleeping- good thing we had the swing bar door lock armed. They tried again 15 mintutes later. Both times, they didn't even try to knock and confirm if there was anyone inside the room and they failed to apologize after realizing the guests were still inside the room.

We went to Portland for a wedding at The Grotto, and it turned out that this hotel was less than 10 minutes away. Super easy access to freeways and arterials, so getting around was a breeze! Hotel was clean, staff was great, the room was fantastic! We will stay here again!

The hotel was clean and neat and had a good general appearance. The room was a bit smaller than other HIX hotels I've stayed in, have no real seating area in the room. Better than the other HIX hotel in the area which I stayed at previously.

Good experience (especially compared to the last Holiday Inn Express we stayed at in Savannah, GA (was the worst HIE experience we've ever had....& it cost us a lot of $$$$$)

Excellent choice. We stayed 4 nights. Near enough to airport to be very convenient. Far enough away to avoid jet noises. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Good breakfasts. Courtesy van took us to nearby Light Rail (MAX) station on request and picked us up at the station in the airport. (It takes about 40 minutes to get downtown -- much better than trying to drive and find parking.) Caution: use your own cell phone to call the hotel to pick you up. Don't rely on the Red Coats at the airport -- or, if you do use them, stand there while they are talking to the hotel. The front desk said they got our name mixed up and the hotel said we weren't registered and didn't send the van. After a LONG wait, we spotted the van from the adjacent SpringHill Suites -- same ownership -- and it took us to the hotel. Interesting observation: the SpringHill driver called the front desk herself and was also told we weren't registered.... (Was it really the Red Coat's fault or was the Front Desk asleep at the switch?) Another minor problem: to no avail, for three days we reported that the TV remote would not let us access listed features such as Attractions, Hotel Info, etc. It only worked for TV and movies. Nonetheless, we would definitely stay with this property again.

The rooms are up-to-date. Flat screen tvs and comfortable furnishings. We love their full breakfast. So nice! We always choose Holiday Inn Express if there is one available where we are going.

Easy and convenient to/from airport. Clean, comfortable, spacious.

Overall good. Some challenges with forcefulness of shower & 1 of the hotels front desk attendants seemed not to understand we were from out of town and therefore didnot know how to navigate the Portland transit system or know how to get to certain areas. The shuttle drivers were very helpful.

Basic holiday inn express, the difference here is the staff. They really went above and beyond which makes the difference especially with business travel. Used to stay at a different PDX hotel, staff changed my mind.

Very clean, comfortable and quiet location. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had an ample breakfast bar with alot of choices and the food was fresh and hot. There biggest downfall is the poor signage, I drove by it twice before noticing the very small sign at the entrance.

My husband and I and our adult daughter stayed at this hotel prior to her early morning flight to Germany. The hotel was most convenient and the beds were VERY comfortable. Each queen bed was equipped with four pillows, with an additional two in the "closet". The breakfast had something for everyone and the eating area was clean, bright and comfortable. The shuttle was prompt both going to and returning from the airport. The staff was friendly and efficient. I had reason to call the hotel after check-out regarding IHG's Priority Club. The desk clerk was most helpful and better informed than the call center employees. We will most certainly stay here when we need an airport hotel. Our only complaint, and a small one at that, was that the hotel does not provide PBS, and, although it lists CNBC on it's TV lineup, does not provide that either.

The hotel was clean & near where we planned on spending time. Stayed Christmas Eve & staff always greeting us with a Merry Christmas. Would stay again on a visit to Portland.

i really enjoyed my stay. the hotel was fabulous. the room was a good size and clean. the bed was comfortable too. the breakfast they have was yummy. there was a lot of choices.

Friendly staff, warm cookies, great selection at breakfast and hot water for showering. Great Stay!

we came from vancouver canada and we arrived early. i asked jennifer the reception if we could check in early because we have a 2 year old and a 3 month old. she said yes right away. very accommodating. the room we got first had wet floor around the fridge area. i called up the reception and she offered a different room right away. we enjoyed the continental breakfast. the housekeeping ladies were very very nice even some of them do not speak english. they still tried their best to be accommodating. the hotel is near the zoo and the grotto. we would definitely come back again

We booked a non smoking room, the bathroom smelled like the smoking section in a casino. Then we pulled the sheets back and crawled into bed with smelly pillows and not clean smelling sheets. We were exhausted and had to catch a very early morning flight, or I would have called the desk. In the morning I did tell the man at the desk about the problems, and he says with a smile on his face I am sorry. We won't be using this hotel again.

this has 2 be one of the best all around chains to stay in. Well worth the extra.......

My husband I stayed at this hotel for one night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The clerk even allowed us to check in early....Great Experience at this hotel!

We were promised a room with two queen beds, but ended up with an assignment to a beautiful suite. Best hotel experience I've ever had.

I was very impressed with this hotel

The only problem we had was they forgot to give us our wake up phone call. OOPS! Good thing I set my cell phone alarm...or we would have missed our flight. A big no no.

I have a new "standard hotel" to stay at in the Portland area! This Holiday Inn Express is 5-stars in every way, as far as I'm concerned. I happened to be here on a Wednesday night - the night they do a "guest appreciation" event in the cafe - free wine, beer, food and live music from 6-8 PM! My king bed was in a mini-suite, with a hot tub in the living room where you can soak and watch TV at the same time. But the room rate was VERY low - typical of much lesser chains. There are a number of good places to eat within walking distance - Chinese, a sports bar, and a number of chain restaurants. Great easy access to the 205 rounds out this as being my "new standard place" in Portland. 5 stars all the way!
