This is a very good hotel. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to anyone. The overall look of the building is very nice. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. It is not far from downtown Gettysburg and all the sites we wanted to see. The breakfast selection in the morning was very good. As I said, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We went to Gettysburg to play golf, we got rained out and had no where to go til our rooms were ready. We called and by the time we got there they had our 4 rooms ready and let us check in. Very friendly staff and the hotel was great, clean, indoor pool & hot tub. Cont breakfast w waffel maker and cherries!! :)

Nice clean room and close to college with a reasonable price. What else do you need?

I brought two children to see Gettysburg and the hotel staff was extremely helpful in providing suggestions and brochures about available tours, museums and directions. We would have liked to have tried out the swimming pool but it was closed while repairs were being made, something that could not have been planned or prevented. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Gettysburg and this motel.

My family stayed at the hotel one night after a full day of activity and touring around Gettysburg. We were very happy with the service of the hotel. The front desk clerk was extremely friendly upon check-in joking w/ my 9 yr old son. Our room was very nice, the beds here were the best we stayed in on our 10-day adventure visiting a total of four hotels. The pool was nice as was the hot tub after a long couple days of driving and walking around. But the best part was when in a slight family disagreement my husband barged out of the room to get something from our car and I had latched the door for the evening, which he was unawares, and therefore, my husband inadvertantly broke the door latch! It came clean off! I proceded to the front desk (a different clerk than previously) w/ the piece of door latch in my hand and begged him not to charge me. He thought the whole thing was funny, which allowed me to relax, and stated that it was no big deal and that they would definitely not charge me. After the incident I was able to calm down a bit about it and we all got a great night's sleep. The breakfast was spectacular! My son loved making waffles! And the coffee was great, which I am a SNOB on coffee and it really was good! Upon check-out the same clerk was there from the night shift and we were still joking on our way out. But he was right, no room charges. So, yes, we will DEFINITELY stay there again and we are already planning a three night stay for next year's festivities!

Nicer, cleaner accommodations compared to other Super 8 hotels.

We had a great experience at this hotel. Staff was curtious and helpful. Facility was clean and well maintained. Room was very comfortable. Family friendly, nice breakfast included good price. Convenient to restaurants, shopping and historic sites. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We used this Super 8 as the midpoint stop for our spring break trip. It was conveniently located just off Route 15. The room was clean, the location was safe and quiet. The free breakfast hit the spot. We would definately stay there again

What a great value for the price. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the sheets FELT CLEAN. The entire hotel is clean and well maintained - all new. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They showed a true desire to be helpful. IF EVERY SUPER 8 WAS THIS GOOD I WOULD ONLY STAY AT SUPER 8s. Well done!

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Super 8 in Gettysburg. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast was ok. We were not very happy with the reception we received upon arrival - it was not a friendly welcome. However , there were different staff on duty the next two days and they were friendly and helpfull. Only other complaint was that our room wasn't cleaned first day , but they soon fixed it up and were apologetic. Overall , we enjoyed our stay.

I"ve stayed in Super 8s before and found them dirty or had bad service. I went ahead and booked with them based on previous reviews on this site and was not disappointed. It was clean, had a friendly, helpful staff and was over-all nice. The indoor pool was great for the kids while the outside weather was cooler. The only thing I might like better was if they included fruit or yogurt or something in the breakfast. It was a bit heavy in carbs. For the money, I'd stay here again.

I stayed in that hotel with a couple of friends for one night and we all loved it. The room was very large and comfortable, and very clean too. The breakfast menu is very impressive for a hotel of that price category, and the hotel was very quiet. The receptionist was particularly nice: when he saw we had a lot of bags he spontaneously changed our booking to a room on the first floor and gave us spare mattress and sheets when he saw we had one extra guest. We had stayed at a Sheraton the night before, and honestly our experience at the Super 8 Gettysburg was better than the one at Sheraton, for a fraction of the price.

The hotel staff are very nice. Clean room and good breakfast. The indoor pool and spa are awesome. My family enjoyed the stay.

overall very pleased with the accomodations at this hotel the montazuma mexican restaraunt would not accept our discount from the hotel and they were listed in your motel brochure

We stayed for 2 nights. After the first night, after we had left for the day and came back in the afternoon, it was clear someone had been in our room, but they had not done the full, usual cleaning job. All they had done was leave new towels. Nothing else had been touched - beds were not made, coffee pot was left dirty, bathroom had not been cleaned, etc. What gives? I realize we had gotten a low price for this room, but didn't this still buy us full cleaning services and not just partial service?

I'll admit, I wasn't expecting much from a Super 8 Hotel, but it is the least expensive chain hotel room in the Gettysburg area and I was thrilled with the cleanliness and comfort of the room. The bathrooms are clean and new, the bedding is luxury, the mattress was great, and the room, while not new, was extremely clean and well maintained. I have stayed here 3 nights in the last 3 weeks and will stay again. thanks.

Arrived to some unexpected delays in room being ready; cleaning staff apparently didn't read their list correctly. However, management quickly corrected the situation and had us in our room in less than 30 minutes. Found the lobby, the rooms, especially the sheets and bathroom to be clean, fresh, and comforting; no musty smells at all. Staff was friendly, courteous and handled things in a professional manner. Breakfast was wonderful, fresh food, with warm foods warm, cold foods cold. Serving area and dining tables were VERY clean, spotless of any old food, spills, or stains. Would like to hope I will be able to stay here again on my next visit to Gettysburg. Direct shot into the town and all of the sights.

We were looking for a hotel to attend the wrestling tournament at New Oxford High School. It was about 10 minutes from the HS. Close to Hanover and Gettysburg. Pool was indoor not real big but was big enough. Breakfast was bagels, waffles, cereal. Room had fridge and microwave. Great for the price.

We had a very pleasant experience on our vacation due to the staff. Amy, the manager checked us in and was very polite. Dimattal, sorry if misspelled, was wonderful every morning greeting us and asking if we needed anything. The pool and hot tub felt amazing. The staff even came around in the evening asking if we needed anything else. I will definitely use this hotel in my future stays in Gettysburg.

Great location if you are going to to some sightseeing, or if you are just stopping through.

very pleasant stay. karen at the desk was very helpful. the best thing which i didnt know til I got there was the FREE washer and dryer. supply your own detergent though. and a indoor pool with hot tub. eating establishments and stores on an easy walk, to and the heart of gettysburg is about a mile away

The reviews of this hotel were all correct. It's a great place to stay! Room was very clean, especially the bathroom. The continental breakfast was average. It could have used a bit more fruit like apples & pears, but other than that, it was nice. It was wonderful to be given a map of the area when we checked in. We used that map all weekend! Also, liked that there was a list of events happening in G-burg for NYE weekend at the front counter. We will be back in 2012 and next time we're bringing the kids and the dog (found out all the hotels in G-burg are dog friendly)!

The room was clean and the desk workers efficient and friendly. Water pressure surprisingly good. Definitely worth the price.

We stay at this hotel 2 - 3 times each year when visiting family. It appears to be under new management. The hotel was noticably cleaner than it was on our previous stays. The fixtures in the room were in better condition, also. They have appeared, unfortunately, to have scaled back a little on the complimentary breakfast selections. The breakfast included make-your-own wafffles, bagels, bread, mini muffins, assorted cereals, instant oatmeal, coffee and juices. There were no eggs, meats, yogurt or fresh fruit available. The person on duty was available and very eager to make us comfortable.

Comparable or better than any chain motel. Very clean and roomy. A great deal...even better when you consider that breakfast is included.

This hotel was a bargain when comparing the amenities to the cost of a room. The staff was courteous and helpful. Our room was clean and well maintained. I would stay here again.

This was a total surprise - the decor was great, the people were fabulous, the location was terrific, and the price was awesome, pool, hot tub, great breakfast, really nice parking, lovely service. I will be staying there again, and, again. :-)

The desk clerk was very friendly.the atmosphere was very warming.I would recommend it.can't wait to go back.
