Enjoyed out stay. Hotel was very nice.

Nice boutique hotel. Room was small and had no safe, but overall we had a pleasant stay. Just a block or so from the Quarter (across Canal), so convenient to everything.

Loved the hotel and would stay there again in a heartbeat. It's only a block from Canal so a short walk to the French Quarter which is perfect. I can't imagine staying IN the French Quarter. The staff was great and there's a restaurant next door with tasty tapas.

The service was extraordinary: courteous, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and tailored to any needs we had. Location was just far enough from Bourbon St to be a safe, short walk while still feeling connected to the local energy. I can't say enough good things about International House; we'd never heard of it before now and found it via a travel deal. I've already recommended it to several friends (including one who's a GM at a top DC hotel) and can't wait to get back myself. One note: they very kindly upgraded us, for no reason, from a Rock Star (windowless) room to a Queen room. The Queen room was great, but definitely snug. A smaller Rock Star room would have been too little space for 2 people, for sure.

8am cleaning ladies, chatting it up in the halls, kept me from sleeping in. Late night rowdy girls partying and going in and out of elevators woke me up. Are the walls really that thin? We had the Rock Star windowless room, which was fine, but the room smelled musty. Noticed there wasn't a fan in the bathroom. Black smudge on sheets, wondered if from rubber liner of dryer drawer or ? Also, there was NO coffee available anywhere in the hotel! Reception staff was friendly and professional and decor is artful and inviting. Location, great.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the IH; although, there is room for improvement. The main issue was there was no coffee available in the hotel on Mardi Gras morning. The adjoining restaurant, that provides F&B service to the hotel, was closed for Mardi Gras; therefore, there was no room service available for coffee or breakfast. Nothing was available in the lobby either. Understanding Mardi Gras is a major local holiday, someone really should have thought ahead to provide, at the minimum, coffee for guests who enjoyed Lundi Gras the day before. We were referred by reception that we could go to a Starbucks at the Sheraton, which was a few blocks away. When we got to Starbucks, we were not allowed in because we were not guests of the Sheraton! So, we took it upon ourselves to find a plan C, which was a PJ’s coffee we saw in the distance another block away. Valet parking was also a bit of a problem at the IH because there was no available space in front of the hotel on Camp St. when we arrived, so, we circled the block (not an easy task on Lundi Gras) and we created an illegal parking space on a side street (Gravier) and my wife stayed with the car while I went in to the hotel to find a bellman to help us with luggage. By the way, the bellman (John) was excellent, at the beginning and end of our stay. Our room was quaint (a bit small) but comfortable. Being an older building, the plumbing was often noisy, especially the shower. Still, the location is good (two blocks from Canal), and between St. Charles and Magazine, and the hotel lobby and adjacent bar/lounge is very boutique chic. I would stay here again, but I would ask up front if coffee will be available the next morning without having to hike somewhere to get it.

Overall, this was a three-star hotel experience for a 4.5 star rate. My 'upgraded' room was really unimpressive. There were countless maintenance issues that went unresolved, the bed was uncomfortable and the hotel was far from full service. Breakfast service took over an hour to deliver and arrived cold. The location is great and the wifi was free and fast. Don't book if you're looking for a high end hotel experience but you're not going to find it here...

We stayed here for two nights before our cruise. It was a very nice upscale boutique. Old building with new chic style! Loved it!

We enjoyed our stay at the International House, it is close to the french quarter, it has a old time feel to it. The bar downstairs and the service are also great.

Everything about the hotel was more than satisfactory. We had an interior room, so we could sleep as late as we wanted without the sunlight waking us up. I loved the fact the hotel used Aveda hair and skin products!

International House was a nice hotel, not large but very clean. It was right in the heart of New Orleans. We were able to walk to the Super Dome, Mall, Harrah’s Casino, Jackson Square, River Walk, Aquarium and the French Quarter market with ease. The staff was very pleasant to deal with as well. Parking can get a bit pricey once you factor in the price to park, tip and taxes and can take a while to get your vehicle back from valet, be sure to call ahead before going downstairs. Room price is a bit high but it was quant and comfortable.

Fancy foyer .... That's about it.

At first i was nervous about the stay because it was such a great deal for such a good location. There was nothing wrong about it at all. Had a great atmosphere inside. only couple blocks away from the mall, harrahs, bourban and etc. I would definitely come back.

This is a beautiful Hotel, We enjoyed our stay very much, We are ready to come back. Our room was so beautiful. Every staff member are all so polite and helpful, courtesy. We apprecaited your staff for every thing, A staff member recommended a restaurant, Named the pelican cafe, he use to work there, he made the reservation for us, it was our Anniversary. They treated us so nice, cause he called, they gave us a desert for our Anniversary, we appreciate. International house is so elegant,beautiful hotel, So relaxing and romantic, We have told so many people about this hotel. Every time we come to new orleans we will stay at International house. We have found our hotel, because of you, We have enjoyed our stay so much we were ready to come back the next weekend. Thank your staff for their greatness. The tezeno family really enjoyed our stay. The enire hotel is beautiful. We sat in the lounge area by the bar, next to windows, a very beautiful view. We will be back soon. Thanks International House

Luxury boutique hotel in New Orleans convenient to downtown and French Quarter. Excellent room at an excellent price.

We had a great stay at the International House. The rooms were clean, the decor funky, the bar and restaurant tasteful and welcoming, the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was a modest sized queen. The bathroom was huge! What a luxury! The only qualm we had was that everyday at 9am housekeeping would knock very loudly on the door, despite the "later" sign hanging from the handle. We're not sure if it fell off or what, but even when we made sure to put the sign out, the maid would wake us up in the morning. We were on a work-vacation and wanted to sleep in after a couple of long days, but this was difficult to do after being startled awake. There was also some loud banging in the hall or other rooms early in the morning that had nothing to do with our room. Pretty rude and disturbing, especially at 8or 9 on a Saturday morning. Despite this morning racket, we found the hotel lovely and quiet and a wonderful change from the large impersonal chain hotels on the same block. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our experience at International House this past weekend. The concierge service was extremely kind and helpful. Our room was very cozy, comfortably and clean. We also thoroughly enjoyed the location. We did not have to use our car or a cab once! We do not have any complaints and will definitely be staying at IH from now on when we visit New Orleans.

We were very impressed at the location, cleanliness and friendly nature of the staff workers.

First off, Our room was very small and smelled bad. The hotel bar was never open. They didnt provide room service. The phone in our room was broken and though we told them several times, they never fixed it. The bathroom door was broken. They did finally fix that for us. The entire staff was rude. Umm.. I could keep going but, I think you get the point. For the amount of money we spent, I expected a lot more from this hotel. I would not stay here again.

Enjoyed our stay at the hotel very convenient to French Quarters, Trolly, casino and lots of great places to eat. I would highly recommend the International House to others. Also. Very friendly people work at hotel.

We stayed in the windowless Rockstar Room. The room was extremely hot and we couldn't change the temperature. I wish there would have been a bathtub in our room and an ice and vending machine on our floor. I'm not sure the bedspread was so clean. The bell-men and house-keeper were extremely nice. Had a run in with a bartender that ended up paying for my drink.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for a work conference. Only 1 1/2 - 2 blocks from Canal and St. Charles streetcar lines and just 2 blocks from the French Quarter (~ 7 blocks from Jackson Square), the International House is in a primo location for nearly any type of entertainment and food you're seeking. Hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Unique bar sports jars of fresh herbs to enhance your drink. Rooms are smaller than some, but beautiful, super quiet and comfy. I miss that bed already. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough! At this Camp Street location, I could get nice local fare breakfasts within half a block from IH, as well as numerous low to high end lunch or dinners. When back in New Orleans for pleasure, I plan to stay here.

This Hotel reminds me of a Kimpton-esque type of Hotel. Very cool without being pretentious. The attached restaurant is a must!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel, staff was nice, hotel was clean and we could walk to almost anythnig we wanted to do. No coffee pots in room was something I disliked, but talking to friends who were staying at other hotels, was somewhat common for the area. Anyone visiting New Orleans for first time, check all bills carefully when dining out, gratuity is almost always already added to bills.

My wiife and I had a great time at this hotel. Clean, confortable, relaxing. We particularly enjoyed the Loa bar with its unique selction.

This is my third time staying at IH. It's got a nice mellow vibe and the decorating is cool. The location is great and the bar is top notch. It's my go to hotel when I have to work in New Orleans.

The hotel is very nice. The room was small, but clean and comfortable; and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The location was also a big plus. Both the Convention Center and Bourbon St are w/i reasonable walking distance. My only complaint is the checking time of 4 PM (the event I was attending began @4:30, and this made it a close call). On the other hand, the staff could tell I was in a bit of a hurry to check-in when I arrived around 3 PM, and they hustled to get me into my room ASAP. I will certainly consider staying at the International House again.

We stayed at the international house in New Orleans The night prior to our cruise departure. The hotel was very much as described online. Contemporary but cozy at the same time. The room was very clean cut and relaxing. The hotel was located in walking distance from the French Quarter and the riverwalk. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and look forward to staying again on my next visit to New Orleans.

I stayed in this hotel over a weekend and was more than pleasantly surprised. I've visited this city countless of times and have stayed in many of the finest hotels in the French Quarter and CBD. The hotel lobby is quite inviting and the bar offers a great mature scene away from all the noise and craziness of Burbon Street. But yet is a short walk away from any and everything you'd desire. The room was a tad bit dated, but very comfortable and clean. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning to travel to New Orleans.

The hotel was very nice, very chic, clean, excellent service and a great location, we will definitely stay there again. Rock Star Room really rocked!

I could not Take a shower . The shower had mold and mildew all all the bottom and walls.. I was disgusted .

Great rooms, sexy lobby, AMAZING bar!
