The Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio - سان أنطونيو

We elected the most expensive one that was listed on Hotels.com which ended up being $215 per night for the room that overlooked the Riverwalk and had a balcony. When we got up to the room, we were put in this corner of the hall that had a sign hanging on it which read "Guest Office". Made me think that the room use to be an office but was converted. Anyway, the room did not even have a couch or sitting area and the balcony was so small you could only stand. We originally booked for 2 nights and then asked them to please refund us for the second night as we felt the price was way too high for the room we got. Also, DO NOT have your car valet parked... they charge $38 per night for valet but all they do is take the car across the street to a parking garage which is also located near a public parking lot and you can park your self there for $15 per night as it is directly across from the hotel. Overall, while I thought the hotel was nice, it was not worth the price and I will not be returning.

During the 5-7 hour which included cheese/crackers they ran out and the hostess said they would not be getting anymore but after we talked to the manager he graciously took care of the problem and vent over backwards to accommodate. He made you feel at home.

Well first they didnt have our room that we had reservations for which was a King room, so they put us in a 2 double bed room. The room was fairly small with nothing special at all. A 100$ room that we paid over 300$ for. Way overpriced, was expecting more for that price. Overall the hotel was very nice.

We booked the hotel for the George Straight concert. A huge event for us and San Antonio. I would have thought that management would have realized that additional staff would me necessary. We arrived at the hotel at nearly 4:00 needing a quick shower and drink before the concert. There were 3 people behind the counter and a long line of upset people. No rooms were ready. After finally making it to the counter, we did not have a room either. We barely made it to the concert in time and came back to the room for room service at midnight. We ordered a club sandwich and chicken wings. AT 2:30 AM I WENT TO BED HUNGRY. NO CALL; NO DELIVER; NO WE ARE SORRY. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Spacious room, beautiful hotel, friendly staff, lovely toiletries, comfy bed and great location - in all, a wonderful weekend escape! I would definitely stay here again.

Was disappointed I called to request Riverside view they told me Yes it was taken care of. I get to hotel and they tell me it's all booked. The showers also was a bad noise when wevhad water on cold we could even hear it on neighborhoods shower. But rooms were clean and nice.

Great experince from the time we entered the hotel until we left. Friendly staff and very helpful . Rooms are very nice and bathroom is large . Beautiful Comfortable and Good Value too! We were down for a College Graduation and totally enjoyed our stay.

Very enjoyable stay. It was a quick one nighter for us, but we had a nice dinner on the Riverwalk just a short walk from the hotel. Room was clean, comfortable and the AC worked well. We used their "service express" twice for blankets and a toothbrush. Both arrived quickly and there was no charge. Would rather of not had to pay the $38 for valet, but I guess in a confined downtown setting, it's necessary.

The room was beautiful and the restaurant Zocca downstairs is one of the best I've ever been to. I recommend the oven roasted chicken

Everything was great except the customer service at the hotel restaurant. Besides that I highly recommend it

clean, safe, very pleasant service

The premium riverside balcony was literally 1ft wide. Other premium riverside balconies were 3 or 4 ft and you could actually stand on them. We arrived at 6:30pm on Friday for the weekend and noticed this immediately. When we asked the front desk to switch our room she acted like she didn't know what we were talking about. First she tried to convince me that those were upgraded rooms. After some additional poking and prodding she finally admitted they were the same room prices but wouldn't switch us. I'm pretty confident that if I complained further we could have been moved but I didn't feel like messing with it. The bar tender in the awesome restaurant downstairs had a bad attitude. The bar wasn't even that busy and she didn't even acknowledge me both times I went for about 20 minutes.

Hotel room rate did not match the room. Expected a more luxurious room. Hotel minibar and refrigerator items were not complimentary.

My only disappointment was the "unfriendly" phone...lol Unlike the other hotels I've stayed it, I couldn't figure out how to get my car from the garage or how to call guest services. There was no buttons on the phone to help.

We stayed here one night. The hotel seemed to be completely booked. We were made to wait a long while to check-in, be seated at the restaurant, be waited on and then again during check-out. I am accustom to waiting 5 min or so but we were in excess of that everywhere. This hotel needs more staff. Next door, our friends were staying at the Hotel Contessa and they didn't experience any of these issues although they were fully booked as well. Stay someplace else!

I had booked this hotel online, when I arrived to the hotel they had no rooms ready for me. A guy then came up beside me and said "I am in need of a hotel room." the woman said ok we have a room on the 12 floor available right now we can get you in and off he went while I waited 45 minuts for a room to become available. I then got into my room and the remote was broken so I called it in and the guy said "I dont know if we have any working remot left ima check and get back with yuh" he then hungup and a few hours later I received the remote.

Only bad thing was traffic but that is out of the hotels control great service hotel and staff were top notch recommend to any couple looking for get away try spa wife loved it

Great hotel for my romantic weekend, loved it. Staff was super friendly! Room wasn't ready as soon as we arrived but the front desk clerk made that up to us with a credit from the Zucca restaurant downstairs.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean, comfortable, and the entire hotel was a great place for a romantic weekend getaway. Staff was friendly and hotel was immaculate. Our only complaint was that our room was not ready until almost 5pm, which didn't really seem acceptable to me given the price, caliber, and expectation of service that we would expect from Westin. But overall, great hotel and great stay! We will definitely be back!

David our Concierge made us the most romantic reservations for dinner over the river walk. The service was fantastic at Acenar, the food was a surprise also, Mexican food with a twist. All we did was inform David it was our 26th anniversary and he had them roll out the red carpet for us. The restaurant staff greeted us with "Happy Anniversary!" and seated us at a romantic corner table with a River Walk view. There was even a traveling Mariachi band that sang and played a few tunes for us! And when we returned from dinner we had a special anniversary tray waiting for us when we got back to our room. David is a true gentleman and an expert at making people feel like royalty. Real customer service is not dead, it just all moved to the staff of the Westin River Walk.

Beautiful hotel! Wonderful view! Nice price!

The Westin Riverwalk is a fantastic vacation spot. It might be getting a little old but it's still the best on the river. We stay ther every year at the same time ant it's someting to look forward to. Se you next year!!!!

My mom & I stayed at the Westin San Antonio and loved it! The location is great on the river walk. The hotel room was clean and all the staff we interacted with we're pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

I have happily stayed with Westin before but was disappointed in this stay with them. When we arrived we were bombarded by several valets that rushed us through emptying out our car. We weren't even sure we had everything. We were assigned a room on the LOUD "traffic" side of the hotel instead of the Riverwalk side. The hotel was not full so I don't understand why they wouldn't give their guests the best experience ever. The "heavenly" beds were hard. (This was the main reason I chose this hotel - I loved the heavenly beds in other hotels). The temperature outside at night was in the 30's but the room only got up to 70 because the unit installed only worked on the "low" setting. We had someone check on this and it was installed this way so we were cold most of the time. We had a buffet breakfast that cost us $34 each. The cost was rather extravagant for a buffet but it was Christmas morning so there wasn't very many places to eat plus it is hard to get employees to work. I have loved Westin before but was totally disappointed in this stay.

I normally do not do fancy, but for the honeymoon, it was a nice change of pace. The room either had what we needed or they would bring it to us, with the exception of a microwave, but we were not reheating food this trip. The view over the riverwalk was very nice, and even was over the pool and outside dining area. Location was perfect for what we wanted to do that weekend, with the riverwalk right there as well as all the shops. I definately reccomend going on a boat tour while staying here.

Should have been told that the hotel lounge and restaurant would be completely shut down the evening of 11/23/12 fo the river parade. Needs to be a notification on the website or at least notified upon check in. We didn't even know there was a parade until we left the hotel and walked around.

We enjoyed our stay with the exception of the room type we needed and had booked double rooms but were given kings.

Loved the room and the hotel itself was very nice. The location is on the Riverwalk and the price was nice. Will be staying there again.

My husband and I enjoyed our beautiful, river view room with balcony. The hotel was lovely and concierge/front desk/valet were all wonderful! Our Thanksgiving meal on the river walk at Zocca Restaurant was superb. However, no one bothered to clean or even tidy up our room on Thanksgiving day. I understand it was a holiday, but we had wet towels, trash, no coffee refills or cups, no new toiletries, etc. and for the expense, we were disappointed.

Wonderful, loved the fact that the pool was open early and stayed open late.
