We stayed here while visiting the Everglades. A nice pool, free breakfast, free snakes in the room,free parking. This is a great hotel and we are glad we stayed here. Yes, it is outdated (but they were remodeling when we were there), but you get 300% more other hotels that cost twice as much. I appreciate these privately-owned hotels that go beyond the norm to accommodate.

I thought the Hotel was pretty good, close to stores, staff very nice and cooperative. My rental car broke down and the staff let us stay longer in the room until we got a new car. I would highly recommened this Hotel.

Just right for an overnight stop-over close to the Everglades. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good clean accommodation. The room even included a mini fridge. Simple breakfast. Good value.

The attendant was very nice and helpful, and the room was very clean and well furnished with fairly new carpet and bath fixtures and counter top. The only thing I noticed is that the water was reversed on the tub hot was cold and cold was hot.

This hotel is good for the price. You van tell it is an older hotel but what do you expect for the price?

Loved it ... would stay there again

It was good for what I needed. The cuban restaurant next door is great.

The hotel was great, the room clean and the breakfast the best we've had in a motel. Just make sure you get there early to try everything!

It was a decent hotel. Heated pool and small exercise room.

The place was clean and nice also the staff was beautyfull

Good location. Access to freeways for staging trips around the area and most services are within walking distance.

Great place to stop overnight. Its a motel, but the staff was very helpful, the continental breakfast decent, and they appeared to take pride in their establishment.

This was a pleasant stay. The staff was most helpful in every way.

The GM who received us after a long trip gave us the most amazing speech that made the whole thing worth it. Best rates in town too.

The hotel is very old but has been kept up to date. The rooms all have a mildew smell and the WIFI is terrible unless you are near the office. The motel also seems to be rented to long term folks because they have Bar-B-Q's outside their rooms. We asked for a roll-a-way but they never brought the bed...and it took forever to get our money back for the roll-a-way. Overall....it wasn't all that bad compared to what else was offered in Homestead. Just another place to spend a quick night....at least the lock on the door worked. The breakfast was very good and the hotel appears to be the place for tour bus companies.

A basic hotel but our room was clean. Nothing to complain about. Everything was in working order. Walked down the street to the Cuban restaurant which was excellent. Fun stay!

"good enough" hotel, clean, stuff really friendly and helpful. nice breakfast, free laundry. good place as a getaway to keys or everglades.

The hotel was excellent; we especially enjoyed the delightful breakfasts, which included all kinds of fruit, yogurt and cream cheese! We had trouble getting our laptop to work at the beginning, (but that could have been our fault?!) The staff was really helpful--when I was not well, they delayed the cleaning til later in the day. We swam in the warm pool--what a treat! Well done!

maintenance is very poor. Our coffee maker did not work. Bathroom exhaust did not work. We informed them after the 1st night, but they did not fix them while we stayed there for 2 more days. They are located at a nice convenient location for Everglades visitors, but overall I would not recommend this motel to anybody.

The hotel was perfect for us. Good rooms, nice pool and super breakfast in a lovely setting. The shopping mall opposite was an added bonus, as was the cuban restaurant just a few yards up the street.

Breakfast was excellent on the first day but fairly poor on the next day. Free laundry facilities for guests. Convenient to shops and places to eat.

We stayed at the Floridian in Homestead on our way to Key West. The rooms were clean, the pool area was nice and the staff was friendly. I wouldn't have a problem staying there again if I was in the area.

Our hotel served our purpose and was comfortable. We noticed that the maid service was performed later in the day, but was no problem. The facility could use a little TLC....new paint on outer building walls.

We booked hotel thinking it was closer to Miami. The customer service rep for hotels.com said it was a 15 min. drive that ended up being an hour. We were in Miami for the Boat Show and lost time driving back and forth. We called to cancel the 2nd night for that reason and were charged anyway. Not very happy with this part of our trip.

This is a pleasant place to stay, although the breakfast could use a little protein. My only other complaint is that there didn't seem to be any way to adjust the fridge, and overnight it froze the dozen of very fresh home raised eggs I had taken along for breakfasts when we were to spend some time later in the Keys.

For the area it was about what you are going to get. About 2 minutes from the Everglades and about 10 minutes to the bridge to go to the Keys. It is the end of the road on the mainland. The room was OK and the service was OK. I guess that it was at least as good as I expected from a 2 star place. If this was a 3.5 star I would have a different opinion.

VERY friendly staff with a nice atmosphere.

Front desk people very helpful and friendly. Short wash cloth first night and no wash cloths second night. Shower and tub faucets needed attention. Bag of trash found outside door second morning. Laundry bin in front of door both days, used for upstairs houskeepers to drop daily linens into. Was somewhat annoying. Overall OK for the price in that area.

This hotel was a pleasure! The brothers who own it came outside and talked with us. They cared about we thought of their hotel. They remodel on a regular basis. The staff are friendly and work hard keeping the hotel clean and in great shape. We were so impressed that we stayed an extra night!

Lobby was nice, rooms were very old and dated, beds not very comfortable, hotel manager and staff were very pleasant

Pretty good rate, nice room, and good area. Will recommend to anyone that wants to be close to the keys and outlets.

Rundown, under renovation, bad breakfast, overpriced, would not stay again.

Not luxurious but not bad

Friendly good service

Everything was acceptable for the rate, although the hotel clerk was very slow in checking me in.

When we got into our room, here is what we encountered: bottom of our refrigerator was rusted, no soap in the room, cups were styrofoam. Was not a restful sleep due to a lot of outside noise. The staff was pleasant enough, but...
