Hotel was ok. Character breakfast great. Didn't like having to wear bands and sign out pool towels.

My family loves it.. We wish we stayed 1 more night. I really recomend to my family & friends.

Great hotel if you are going to Disney with kids. They will enjoy the characters from Nickelodeon TV and bus service to Disney is available. But bus service to Universal studios is 0840 and 1120. Then it returns 3 times in the evening. Our hotel room, with a bunk bed, couch and sofa bed, was very cramped but we only slept there, so it was OK. It was certainly not as good as staying in Disney, but it was a good 2nd best.

We had a great room in the peak season (weekend before Spring break). PROS: great location, close to Disney attractions, we didn't use the shuttle, but the shuttle schedule had many options for all Disney and non-Disney parks (during peak season at least) unlike other Orlando hotels not on park property which have ridiculously limited shuttle times. Clean rooms and hotel. Great free entertainment/shows for the kids (the 4-D movies cost extra, but there is enough to do you do not need that -- learn to say "no" to your kids). Surprising how many people skipped the shows -- we loved them. You call-ahead to reserve your spot or stand in line for stand-by entrance. In-house hotel staff very nice & responsive (though related "con" in that the phone line staff seems different, unwilling to give info -- right hand and left hand not connected) CONS: (1) cost (for the money you could get a very nice hotel if you look for deals and still have money to go to a waterpark or amusement park for your entertainment); on top of the room cost be aware the resort fee is per day (many hotels have parking charges not much less than this, but they are per night) -- the shows are very fun, but I factor that into the extra cost for the room, not sure a resort fee should be on top of that (2) other hotel guests may not be as respectful/same caliber as at similar- priced hotels (ie people's willingness to break the rules, save lounge chairs for hours with their stuff, people being pushy/rude to others) (3) a bit crowded around the pool (too many people, not enough chairs) (4) the rooms have a fridge which is great to have and ours had a microwave, but there are absolutely NO dishes or other means to use the kitchenette --If you are aware of this you can plan by bringing microwave-safe dishes, a bit of detergent, etc. Do not expect a stocked kitchen (5) this may sound minor, but my kids thought the water was too cold on the slides --once they were into it, it was OK but they were not excited t

I say that the Nick Resort is the best place on earth because they are. My kids loved the hotel so much that when we went to Disney (a mile down the road) they just kept asking to go back to the hotel. So we did, we ditched Disney within and hour and went back to the hotel where Mommy, Daddy, and the two little girls could go and enjoy their vacation. It was wonderful, they have all kinds of stuff to do and that is if you can keep the kids out of the Lagoon Pool area which even boosts a splash and slide area. I can't wait to go back!!

The staff when checking in was friendly. I did not like the housekeeping at all. It took them a very long time just to bring our items up. It felt as if they forgot about us.

My husband said it best. It was a spring break party for kids. The staff was extremely friendly but the hotel did show some wear and tear. It was an excellent location to Disney World and a quick drive to Universal as well. Our family enjoyed our stay there.

Hotel is very out dated and is in bad need of TLC. Showers have mold, pool deck is missing tiles, TVs are out-dated analog, etc, Really crying out for some updating and minor repairs that oddly go unattended. I can't recommend the hotel. Sorry. Stayed there in 2005 and found it much nicer.

The hotel is in a great location to all of Disney and I-Drive, if you bring your own car. However, be aware that staying here is like staying on a really really packed low-end cruise line. Pools and other amenities are constantly overwhelmed with guests, many of whom appear never to have traveled in public before. If all you want is a good base for park-hopping, with basic rooms and other comforts, then this fits the bill. DO NOT EXPECT quiet or relaxation as all nights we had kids and grown up loudly going up and down halls well into the night/early morning.

My family and I did enjoy our stay at the nickelodeon hotel. However, I expected more. The room was ok...not luxury by any means. The bed was very uncomfortable and the decor seamed a little dated. I really expected more nickelodeon type decor in the room. I'd give the room 2.5 stars out of 5. The mall area was small and unimpressive. The arcade was expensive. The best part was the pool! The kids had a blast! The bartender at the pool made great drinks!

Fun. Kids love Slime. Pools are nice. Pool's a bit overcrowded and dirty (though like most over pools with tons of kids). There aren't a lot of open empty area if you want to take some fresh air away from the crowd. Resort fee, Food and Extra services are expensive. Best is to plan ahead and bring at least some food in your room. There's a small kitchen with fridge and microwave.

We recenly stayed in a 2 bedroom suite it was very comfortable for the 4 of us and could easily occupy 2 more guests, the hotel is very nicely decorated and makes u feel like a kid again. The main pool was very nice, the only disappointment was that the other pool was not open. Other than that the onsite food court, shows, mall and customer service was great! Can't wait to go again!

There was a ton of activities at the hotel. We went over to stay at the hotel for the night -- and didn't even visit a park on this trip. Just enjoyed the slime, the 4D movies, character greetings, etc at the Nickelodean Resort. My daughter loved it. (age 6) and I am sure we will return!

We stayed two nights with 2 children (ages 5 & 8). The kids loved the place, but we did not dedicate enough time on vacation to just stay at the hotel. We didn't realize there was a whole schedule of events offered for each day, outside of the arcade, pool and slide area! Great place and we will come again next year for sure.

We had stayed in this property a few times before and always enjoyed it. The general condition of the hotel could use some upgrading in general but it would appear that they were doing just that on our last stay. I will stay here again in the future however. The staff is great, the shows are a ton of fun also.

Make sure they do not give your room away... when we arrived they had given the room that I paid for in advance away. The trip was planned for my son's 6th birthday. We had to express how upset my 6 year old and 2 year old was before they decided to give us a Spongebob plush toy... we had to wait until the next day (around 2:00) to repack our room and move to the room that I had originally paid for. It took a lot of time our of our short weekend to deal with all of the non-sense, needless to say we were very disappointed. Trying to make the most of it we were able to have a good time by going to Islands of Adventure on the second evening because it began to rain after we moved our room so the kids couldn't use the slides- they closed the pool. On the final day we called for an extended check out so we can actually get something out of the resort. They granted us a 1:00 check out time. We went back up to our room to shower and head home, but we were locked out of our room. The front desk told us that we were supposed to check out at 11:00am. I sat outside my room with my 6 and 2 year old for 15 minutes while they sent up security to let us in to our room. My advice to anyone staying at the resort- check your room before your bring up your luggage and request the Lagoon side over the Oasis... Lots of luck!!!

The room was so damp it was musty. The kids did like the pool. It was uncomfortable and there were too many extra charges.

We arrived at 5:30 pm and waited in line for 30 minutes to check in. When we finally got to the counter, we were told our room wasn't ready! At 6:00 in the evening! After complaining, we were "upgraded" to a themed room. The kids appreciated that, but it meant the parents went from a king sized bed to a queen. We also felt nickel and dimed. The 4-D movies were a hit, but add that onto all the other amenities and we spent more on actvities than we did on the room! Overall, the kids had a blast and that's the only reason we went.

We stayed a mere 2 days at this hotel - they reservation process at check in was a nightmare- complete with 2 adults and 4 kids standing around for 2 hours while the hotel tried to straighten it out- even though there were confirmation emails presented - staff advised they did not have the room types we booked available. After 2 hours of waiting andother hour and a half trying to fix things, the battery on my phone died and I gave up. We were given alternate rooms, went through Hotels.com to get the compensation corrected, but the hotel staff was horrible to deal with. They repeatedly blamed everyone else and would not take responsibilty for any of the errors. They tried to charg another parking fee -someone had incorrectly checkec in more vehicle to each of the rooms we requested- that took another hour to fix, while waiting outside the gate to get in. What a mess! The hotel staff offered to switch our rooms for the next night- all we wanted was to spend a couple of days having fun. The facilities were a little dated, the rooms we were provided as an alternative were not bad, but were not what we booked, and I stand by that. If just ONE representative from the hotel would have at least tried to take ownership and correct things, I would not have had such an awful impression- but everyone we talked to was rude, and unprofessional. by the time we left, Hotels.com had gotten deeply involved and were given an entirely different story on the reason why they had switched rooms for us, 4 different ones and they kept changing.....No thanks, Nick, I'll stick to the Mouse....

We took our granddaughter who had wanted to go for the past two years to get slimed. Upon arrival, check in was smooth. The room was not ready but we were welcomed to explore the property. There were two pool areas - one where the sliming takes place and everyone congregates and a smaller less utilized, but quieter pool. Our room was smaller than I expected for a 2 bedroom suite, but adequate. It was not the cleanest and needed upgrading. Overall, I would label it adequate. The pool area - the reason we came was overcrowded. If you did not get down there early, you did not get a chair or lounge anywhere near the pool. There are restaurants on site in the "mall", which is convenient, but they are pricey. Any of the extras you can pay for are really pricey.... eg. cabana poolside is $99 for 1/2 day., personal sliming experience is $150. Finally they do have free shows to entertain the kids (and adults) but they are typically filled and you have to go on standby. All in all, it is a mediocre hotel with a small waterpark and we would not return again.

Our room was clean and as described - no complaints there. The hotel was crowded to the point that it was overwhelming. I have never seen so many people in a pool at once, I can't believe it wasn't over capacity by double. The life guards surely had their hands full and as a parent, we couldn't take our eyes off of our children for a fraction of a second for fear they would be trampled. Despite the most number of chairs and lounges I have ever seen at a hotel ppol, there were none available and my wife and I had to stand although we did take the kids out of the pool after ten minutes for fear of their safety. It seemed liked children were having fun but mine complained of being kicked by others in the pool which makes sense as there was no room for movement. There was a Spongebob show that the kids enjoyed but frankly my wife and I couldn't wait to get back to our room and the kids also voted for room service over a themed restaurant for dinner. The character breakfast was a little more bearable and the kids liked it. Overall, if you are looking for a 'quiet place' after a day in the parks, this is not the place.

pros: Great Place for kids to have a good stay. It has a food court so you dont need to leave the hotel if your hungry they have pizza, subways, burgers, starbucks.. They have activities for the kids such as an arcade room, a 4d theater which they play small episodes (really get the 4d experience u get wet, catch bubbles, even the odor for example in one of the episodes of spongebob they were searching for a pickle for the krabby patty to be complete and it really did smell like pickles in the theater lol) they have the character breakfast and I believe lunch (we had breakfast). They have a spa area for kids. They have the characters go to the mall area/foodcourt at certain times so that you can take pictures. You may take pictures with your camera or go to the pictures booth and purchase them. They have a studio called "studio nick" this was my favorite they have the characters do a live show, or just like on nickelodeon tv they have the whole games thing and people actually get slimed and of course the pool area where they have bar and grill and cabanas. Very fun! Cons: We had a bunk bed for the kids.. You can literly only fit one child on those beds.. really small.. the kids room also had 2 really small drawer like a sock drawer. we had to leave everything in the luggage the whole time there. The bathroom had no shampoo, conditioner or soap when we got there.. we went out and got. After I had already bought then when housekeeping came to the room they put one personal bottle.. mind you it was 2 adults and 3 kids with 3 girls on the trip there is lots of hair to wash lol.. Toilet paper we did run out once and had to go look for the housekeeping lady to give us a roll for the rest of the stay. The kitchennete area.. only has a mini fridge, a microwave, and a sink, oh and a coffee maker.. but no toaster :-( I was looking forward to just popping some bagels in the toaster and hitting the parks.. we had to stop to catch breakfast :-/ . Fun time for family of 6. We were all able to stay in a single 2-room suite. We appreciated the friendly staff and we felt that they often went out of their way to be friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The two older (pre-teen and teen) kids found plenty to do, including the Teen Lounge and movies (get the unlimited movie pass if you're going to see more than one). If your kid wants to use the hot tubs or attend the Teen Lounge, they need to have an adult bracelet, and not the kiddie one. Luckily, we were able to exchange the pre-teen's kiddie bracelet for an adult one, but be careful, since the adult meal prices, which are based on the type of bracelet, are almost double the cost. The younger ones (ages 3 and 6) loved the pools, but our youngest was disappointed that she was not tall enough to use the water slides (40" min, height requirement). Bring swim goggles or a mask, as the chlorine levels in the pools are high, but understandably so. The character breakfast was fun for the little ones. Free WiFi and Starbucks were appreciate by the teens and adults. Poolside food and drink prices were not outrageous, and the quality was fine-- the french fries were a big hit. We did not eat many meals at the resort, instead preferring to venture to Downtown Dis**y for a change of scenery and a little more choice. Be aware that debit cards are "officially" not accepted for room charges, so if you want to "charge to to the room" you should either bring a credit card, or find an understanding employee at the Guest Services desk to allow you to use your debit card.

This hotel downgraded my room instead of upgrading because of availability. Never staying there again!!!

Room was not clean. Felt very dirty in the room. You are charged $25 to use the pool and it is not clean either. Not happy with that hotel at all. Will not return or tell anyone to go there.

Our bed didn't have a comforter when we arrived. My husband called for one, they said 10 min to an hour. They were being dried. They showed up within an hour but with sheets. I asked why no comforter, the lady said the truck didn't deliver any. We stayed 3 nights without a comforter. All 3 nights was 60 degrees outside so it was chilly in the room. The room APPEARED clean but they don't dust at all. The housekeeper came in and when she vaccumed, it was done so very quickly. Our bed rails, behind end tables light fixtures and etc had large amounts of accumulated dust. Great location and kids loved the waterpark so that part was ok.

The only reason I stayed here is the fact I have a young son who loves spongbob. If your comfortable in 2-3 star resorts this will be fine. If you are used to 4-5 you will have to tolerate it for the enjoyment of your kids. Close to Disney and the transportation is realiable.

I was very impressed with the pool/water park area but wasn't happy with our room. It was not clean at all. Our feet after one night was pitch black due to the carpets, the bathroom smelled like urine, sugar ants where all over in the vanity in the bathroom along with mold growing in the corners of the tub. We where also very disapointed in the food. We ordered from numerous places in the food court and all us of where unable to finsh our meals. I must say it was gross and way over priced!!!! My son did have a wonderful time here but I would be very weary of coming back to this hotel again!!

This place is a great place to go vacation with your family. It is full of fun!

The room was just okay. It could have been cleaner, but after reading all the bad reviews I was expecting worse. All of the staff were helpful and pleasant. The pool and waterpark area were great for the kids (ages 7 & 9) plenty to do and great activities all day long. The free shows offerered were nice and the arcade was great. Overall nice experience, we'd stay again.

Dirty uncomfortable and expensive for the type of room given.

I was very upset with the way this hotel dealt with not having towels for their rooms. Hotel of this size shouldnt have any issues with supplying their guests with towels at the pool or in the rooms. Very disappointed and most likely will not bring my family back.

It is an ok hotel. Suite is a bit of a stretch. My boy LOVED it, still says his favorite part of our vacation was the hotel. You can easily spend the day in the pools and slides. The kids will be worn out by end of day. But my wife and I found it to be like the other reviews. It is a bit worn and showing its age. It is not bad but if you are used to luxury hotels you will be disappointed. Who ever is in charge of maintenance over there needs to really have a talk with thier people. We did not have major issues, just similar ones to other reviewers. Leaky toilets, remotes not working, slow elevators, etc. Overall we would not stay again simply because for the price you pay I rather stay at a nicer resort. But it is worth going one time for the kids.

When we checked in, our room smelled like vomit. We called the manager to ask for another room and he said he didn't have any rooms until the next day. He said we could sleep in the pullout bed farthest from the source of the smell. Unsanitary, unhelpful, terrible service. He offered us late check out for our troubles, really?

Room smelled heavily of bleach. Had to keep the door open to air it out and lit a scented candle.

The Pool (main): I have two children, 6 and 10, so the purpose of our visit was to stay at the resort and let the kids swim all day. The main pool was VERY crowded - it took us several minutes to find 2 small chairs for the 4 of us. (all the lounge chairs were taken). The towels they pass out are very old and worn out (thin, many stains on them). They looked as if they'd been used for 10 years. They did let you take basically as many as you want because they were small, but you had to sign for them (free), and return them and get your name crossed off. This process took way to long as we had to wait in a line to both get the towels and return them. I mean really, who would want to steal THESE towels?? The pool was much smaller than it looked like in the pictures. Most of the pool was less than 2 feet deep and all of it was 4.5 feet or less. There were kids and people packed in there like sardines - ewww. My wife and I opted not to get in. The slides were fun for the kids, but they had to wait in long lines and they were really nothing spectacular. They only had refreshments/bathrooms at on end of the pool (away from the slides) which I thought was a bad idea. No waitresses, so if you were packed into the opposite end like we were, it wasn't worth going all the way to the front for an over-expensive drink/food. I wonder how many kids decided that the bathrooms were to far away too...yikes. As far as the "slimming" basically everyone (like 100 people) stand under the slides where this huge bucket fills up with water dyed green (not the slime you see on tv) It then dumps out and thats it. The whole process took about 20 mins. They did have a 4 bucket slimming, but you had to have vip tickets? I guess to use it and it was only open for 30 mins or so? It looked from a distance like the same dyed pool water (I'm sure it was because real slime would be a mess) I have no idea what it costs or how to get it, no one at the front desk or on the phone mentioned it? I thought that this hotel would be great for the kids, but I can say that it was barely liveable! First of all I paid through Hotels.com and when I got to the hotel, they said they needed another $25/day for 'resort fees'. Then they proceed to get another $25/day for a room change to be closer to the water park (if that's what you want to call it). So they got $400 on top of what I had already paid. The water park was hardly that. The rooms where dirty. Our socks were dirty after walking around the room. There was no comfort at all to the room. It was like a second rate motel room at any corner of the worst part of your city. The televisions had the worst picture that I've seen in the last 15 years. The only positive thing I can say is that it was close to Disney. Hotel staff consistently tried to sell you something else. Most staff was not overly friendly either, nor did they care to take care of an issue. I had an expensive pair of sunglasses that end up "missing" and no one cared.

Overall, the experience was positive although the kids' room looked more like a prison cell than a Nick Hotel. If you do not upgrade to a "themed" room, the walls are plain white, there was no nightstand or even a picture hanging on the wall! The rest of the furniture seemed dirty, but it was fine for the price. As for the room location, if you get a room facing the pool, you will hear the music playing since early in the AM.
