The hotel staff were obsessed with service. As an amusing note, I received a call from the front desk to confirm that I received my wake up call - before the wake up call was received. This was especially significant, as I was scheduled for an early morning surgery and a prompt wake up call was critical.

Absolutely outstanding service. I found it somewhat amusing that they were so eager to please and follow-up that I received a follow-up call from the front desk to determine if I had received my wake up call - before the wake up call was received.

The staff greeted me with a smile and a warm, delicious chocolate chip walnut cookie. Maintenance responded quickly to my request. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.

I thought it was going to be closer to the oceanfront but, no biggie. I found a dirty towel in the bathroom and it was obvious that it had not been cleaned.

Walking distance to convention center. That's about the only reason to stay here. Clean and comfortable room.

The hotel was great. Very conveniently located. The only problem I had was no ashtray in my smoking room.

Had a wonderful stay. The amazing people who work there are friendly and very helpful. Will definitely stay there again!

This is a great place to stay if you are spending most of your time at the Virginia Beach Conference Center. Very convenient.

Everything was perfect. The gym was clean and offered good equipment. My room was comfy and nicely laid out. The front desk staff were very friendly and accommodating. I wish I could have stayed in the area for more than one night.

Stayed may times ... always outstanding service!

The convienence was great, the staff was great....the room wasn't the cleanest and it is time to clean the carpet and look under the bed. But was only there for one night and the staff was the best.

It was handily close to the convention center for the conference I was attending. I liked that there would have been free parking is I had a rental car. I disliked the cost of in-room networking, especially on a business trip. The facility was very clean, but showed lots of wear on the furniture. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I liked the warm cookie on check-in.

It was alright, not the best hotel but the service was great.

I stayed here for one night and the room was okay. Overall the location was great! It was a short walk to the beach and the restaurant at the hotel was pretty good, the people were friendly. The room itself appeared clean, but One of the pillows had what looked like a blood stain and the bathroom wasn't very clean. But the price for the night was fair, I'd stay again.

The room was wonderful and comfy. Bed was soft and heaven to sleep on pillows were soft and mushable. The room was spotless and staff friendly as can be. And those cookies OMG! The interstate was right there.the indoor pool looked inviting although I never got the chance to enjoy.

Nice spot for a cheaper price than staying on the beach. The elevators aren't the greatest. We went to my folks room on the 6th floor and had to wait 15 minutes for at least just one of three elevators to open that was going up. It never happened so we decided to get on one that went down so finally one came, we went down to the first floor and then pushed our floor and went back up to the 10th. Our coffee machine in the room didn't work so they came and replaced it with another and that one didn't work. And no we're not idiots so it wasn't us. The radio/alarm clock also didn't work. Other than that stuff the hotel is cool. I'd give this place one more shot.

Upon arrival, check-in was easy & fast. Received a complimentary warm, chocolate, walnut cookie per guest. We weren't there long enough to enjoy the restaurant, pool, and I believe there was a fitness center. We really just stayed there to sleep. They do offer shuttle services every 30 mins until 10pm to or back to 19th & Pacific Ave, but it's only about a 10 min walk. Overall, don't think the price is worth it for 1 night if you don't plan to use the amenities.

Good Hotel. Great location away from the beach craziness. The hallways are dark,. The hotel is begging for renovation. The carpets and interiors are not great. I wish the hotel management does something about the decor and carpets. The elevators are not the best at this hotel. You wait for 10+ minutes for it to service you.

We love the Doubletree Hotels, so we expected this one to be as nice as the others. It was lacking in more ways then many others, but was not horrible. However, for the price we paid for the weekend we went, it should have been much more enjoyable. The floors were squishy from how damp the room was, the pillows were feather and had no support, and the room smells like mildew

The stay was ok, but the room reaked of mold/mildew and or smoke so I suffered with a headache the entire weekend. I asked to be switched to a nonsmoke room if it became available, but that never happened. I arrived on Friday and was contacted on Sunday regarding a welcome package which was of no value to me since I was checking out on Monday. I observed most other residents receiving cookies upon their arrival, none of which were offered to me. I don't feel it is my position to remind you of what is considered a part of your position to make an effort about the guests.

Would not stay there anymore. Not what I was expecting.

Disappointed they did not have free wifi in the rooms nor a refrigerator. They do give you free cookies which are really good.

I was iffy about this hotel based off of reviews I read but to be honest we LOVED it...the hotel is nice, staff very helpful, the kids loved the free cookies...the pool area is nice and the restaurant food is to die for.. even though the hotel is not on the beach they offer FREE shuttle services to the boardwalk...I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very reasonable for the price. It was a short distance away from the boardwalk and they offered a shuttle service that ran every 30 min which was convenient. We asked for a nonsmoking room, and we got one - however, the room still smelt of smoke which was not good. Otherwise, it was a nice hotel to stay at and clean.

To Hotel staff was very friendly all around. To our surprice the Hotel provides a shuttle to the beach. Our room was very clean. The only down fall were the elevators. They are to slow, and at check out time we had to use the stairwell to bring down our personal belongings.

The price was very good for the location. The room was just ok. It was clean but it didn't wow me. It was close to lots of places within a few minutes driving and very close to the beach. I would stay there again!

I requested queen size beds, and instead the room had full size which was uncomfortable. There was a leak in the bathroom, mold growing on the carpet by the bathroom door and hall way. The pictures on the website are decieving this was a Motel not a Hotel. I should have know as we walked into the lobby, then we had go get the cart to transport our own luggage. The key card lock was problematic, this trip was a disapointment based on our stay, Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this motel. There is a serious need for upgrades and redecoration of the entire place, the budget for the lobby must have been around $5,000, with soiled sofas and plants in an attempt to fill the empty poorly lite space. This area is the first impression, I have seen better in a Motel 8 commercial. the cafeteria trying to pass itself as a resturant was unbelievable, the Gym had 6 outdated machines, and the indoor pool and surrounding area was small and uninviting. This stay was the worst thing about our vacation. I would not recommend the Doubletree, and will tell others not to waste their time. Never again.

Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay. There were only two issues I wish to address: (1) The middle elevator was inoperable which caused crowding in the lobby and forced many people to take the steps. Although, a great opportunity for some exercise, people were heard complaining that they didn't want to do the stairs, but they were tired of waiting for the elevator or they didn't like riding in crowded elevators.; and (2) I was provided one room and had to return the card key because it was also assigned to someone else which I discovered when I returned to that room and opened the door. The second room I was given had a bad, musty/mildew type odor and I had to request another room.

Hotel lobby was really nice and the room was updated and clean, the hotel was close to the beach, just a 5 minute drive. The only sour spot was the restaurant, it was absolutely filthy, there were bread crums everywhere, the glasses were dirty, dust on the tables. Horrible!!!!

I stayed at the DoubleTree expecting a great stay. I did not get that. The elevators were broke for the majority of my stay. Also my room keys stopped working half way through the stay. When I got new keys they didnt work either. I have a Torn ACL and my mother is disabled so we couldnt leave the hotel for the time the elevators were broke because she cant go up or down steps and I have trouble going up steps plus I had my 2 children with me

The check out was very difficult, too many people checking out at the same time, and not enough carts to carry out your luggage. We had to do several trips using the elevators which were always full.
