Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel - غلاسغو

We stayed because we were attending a wedding in the area and booked a number of rooms. The rooms were comfortable, the staff were most helpful and the breakfast was good. The only complaint was the difficult in parking. Rooftop parking is available above the supermarket across the the road but on Saturday evening quickly filled.

Nice hotel , with plentiful breakfast. Great if going to show in West End or in centre of Glasgow. Room clean , shower good power. Only drawback is that you have to pay for wifi when even small hotels give you free acess.

The reception staff were more than helpful in every way they all went out of their way to make our visit pleasurable

We had a lovely room with a nice view but the tv never worked properly, even after numerous requests. The wedding disco downstairs went on till 1 am so we never got much sleep or peace.

Great hotel. Great service. Was guest of the day which was a surprise and the extras you get with this were nice touches. Would recommend and definately stay again.

excellent on the whole

Excellent---staff very friendly and helpful at all times. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was great and would highly recommend it to all but even more if you are disabled as we were given a room which really suited this fact as there were emergency cords in room and bathroom which made you feel in safe hands. Great stay--thanks!

We have stayed in the Grosvenor Hilton previously. This stay did not disappoint. From the welcome at check in, through to breakfast and check out, all staff were very professional & courteous, Hotel comfort and amenities could not be faulted. Although situated in the heart of the West End of Glasgow, the interior of the hotel was quiet. The Botanical Gardens are just across the road. Lovely for a pre-dinner or breakfast stroll or jog. We will be staying here again on our next trip to Glasgow.

The hotel was very good. Service from check-in to breakfast to check-out was first class. We were attending a concert at Oran Moor which is directly across Byres Road from the hotel so this is a must stay in hotel and one that I have recommended and will definitley use again. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and the went about their duties very diligently and all staff had smiles on their faces and ensured that if there was anything we required they would ensure that we would get it.

The hotel is good, however my room was situated next to the lift. It was extremely noisey and after three nights of disturbed sleep I was glad to be going home. Good location as close to Hillhead subway which made an easy journey to the SECC.

We recently visited my daughter who is studying at Univ of Gasgow. This hotel is within 15 min walk to university and most sightseeing destinations. Hop on/off bus stop right across street. Breakfast was included and was basic continental with scrambled eggs and meats. Good value. Terrace lounge is great place for a pint and to catch up on emails (no free wi-Fi in rooms.) a bit noisy with windows open - but overall a wonderful stay.

Excellent service, very friendly Breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choice which is a bonus for someone who is gluten free and doesn't have cows milk. Bed very comfy and shower hot. Lots of comfy sofas to sit on and the hotel bar is reasonably priced. Some people have objected to paying £10 for parking I felt for a large town this was reasonable. Near uni and our son's accomadation.

Room very small. Very warm and no air con. No mini bar facility.

Overall excellent however the hotel bar closed early and as I arrived back late with corporate clients I was disappointed not to be able to buy them a drink!

Stayed at this hotel several times. Never been able to find faulf. Reception staff couldn't be more helpful. (left mobile phone charger in room - forwarded on the following day - no issues), staff at breakfast very friendly. Location of hotel perfect for the West End bars restaurants and shops. Used the public bar on Sunday night - great atmosphere. Overall perfect.

Great location just off Byers Road. Perfect for a conference at Glasgow University. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet had a good selection. Would stay again.

This is excellent hotel but about 2miles away from glasgow central station. . Our train to london was at 16.40 . We left the bags in the hotel and came to Gasgow. Then went back to collect the bags but it took long time with traffic . But the service and breakfast and the prices were very good. If you are driving this is a good place. Its near to the Glasgow uni and 15 minutes busride from Kelvingrove Art gallery.(bus no 23 if you just cross the road).

Great hotel for the west End

The people at the front desk were helpful. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable and the shower pressure was great. Some advise, if you do need dietary requirements for breakfast confirm on check-in as just doing it during booking doesn't guarantee they'll organise it.

Nice location, well run hotel by excellent staff. Rooms very clean and offering all mod cons. Bovine dining very good as was the breakfast the following morning. Didn't use the hotel bar but adjoining bar BoBar was good and offered a goo drange of cocktails. Stay slightly soured by £10 overnight parking fee that wasn't communicated well but overall worth my 4 star rating.

really a great stay this hotel is out of the city about 2 miles however you have bus stops right across the road and a underground station and taxi fare £ 6.00 to city centre for 4 people.great value fab food and great breakfast. and we also had the use of the other hilton leisure centre.

This was a most enjoyable visit. We were effectively prevented from returning home at the end of our stay because of the disruption to rail services following the effect of adverse weather conditions. The hotel booked us an extra night in the same room and at a discounted rate. The hotel staff generally were exceptionally friendly and helpful - top marks ! The proximity of the Botanic Gardens was another bonus.

The location on Byres Road is great for accessing the west end restaurants, bars, cafes and shops with friendly customer service. However, on the evening of our stay a 21st birthday function was being held with music so loud every word could be heard on the 2nd floor. It should also be noted that if you want to park your car in the hotel car park it'll cost an extra £10.

We will be back, great location, room service was excellent, delicious, fast and well priced dinner, in fact best we have had!

The hotel is very convenient for the University and we will certainly return soon. The last time we were staying we commented that the quality of breakfast was second to none, however the quality and choce of food at breakfast had definitely declined since 2010 when we were there last- shame- cost cutting or what?? Parking is expensive £10 per day now

The Grosvenor Glasgow has had an extensive refurbishment since our last stay and the results are amazing. As well as looking stunning, the new restaurant served the most succulent steaks with the service from the staff very friendly, helpful but at the same time unobtrusive. From check-in to leaving, each and every member of the staff had obviously been trained to the highest standards. An absolute joy, and we will certainly stay again on our next visit to the "dear green place" from our home on Skye.

This was the third time we had booked this hotel for an overnight stay but unfortunately found the room very noisy and for what we paid not good value for money. 4 out of 10 this time

The staff was very friendly & helpful; love the West End neighborhood. But the interior really needs an upgrade. Dingy elevators, our room had paint peeling & water stains on the ceiling. Would recommend based on location & staff. Possibly getting a room above the standard double would have been a better option.

Hotel was well located for our visit.Parking not explained in emails received beforehand.Access is from Byers Road although the address is Great Western Road.Valet parking in adjacent supermarket car park worked well once we found out about it. Was disappointed with room size having paid extra for an executive on top of an already highish basic room rate. Breakfast was excellent dispite a fairly large throughput which often fazes lesser hotels.

The hotel was OK to stay in, but needs a bit of an update. Room service wasn't available as was told there was a problem with kitchen cookers, only the menu from the restaurant was available, but limited for me being a vegetarian. Was charged for extras which I didn't use but this was refunded after explaining at reception, although they could do with showing the bill before taking the money.

The location of this hotel for our brief stay was ideal. The buffet breakfast had great choice and our room was very clean and comfortable.We'd be happy to recommend this hotel-staff were friendly and helpful.

I used to live in the West End and for convenience this Hotel is ideal - Hillhead underground is just down the road so that's the main reason we booked. But Hilton hotels are so hit-and-miss, and for me this was just ok. Very 70s in the decor (velvet walls in the lift!) and the bed was so uncomfortable. The room itself was fine, pressure of the shower was weak, no minibar. We ate at Bo'Vine, the restaurant attached (they had lost the booking, then found it) and it was good, though not excellent as we were led to believe. Overall, for location it's great - though at the pricey end of Hilton rates I don't think it's worth it.

This hotel was well placed and as a Glaswegian retunring home provided convenient access to many of the local attraction, parks and museums. It also was close to the subway and many bus routes, don't get a cab it can take longer than the subway. Traffic on near by Great Western Rd is always heavy, but you cannot hear it in your room. Room was well laid out with a spacious King Size bed. Shower and toilet facilities in a seperate room and large and airy with all cleaning products available. Tea an Coffee in good supply. There is a restaurant in the hotel but we did not use as nearby in Byres Road there are plenty, similarly the bar as there is a plethora of bars nearby some quite unique and eclectic. Music also close by witrh a wide range for your taste.

Perfectly adequate hotel, but wouldn't like to pay the top rate as it is a bit tired in places. Good breakfast and very pleasant staff. Very convenient for shopping and a nice walk in the park.

This is not a four star hotel. The rooms are shabby to say the least. I don't know the standard of other hotels in the vicinity but this hotel is way over priced. The staff are lovely any the location in the West End is good but there has to be better than this hotel. If the standard of this hotel represents the 'Hilton' chain I would hesitate in booking with them again.. I had read other negative reviews before booking this hotel and thought that maybe the reviewers were fussy.. Its a 4 star after all?? They were right.. Don't waste your money!

Helt ok hotell men inget speciellt. Läget är kanon! Vår utsikt var ett tak med ventilations trummor :-( Servicen och renligheten var jätte bra.
