Only negative was the shower which lacked power. Water pressure poor.

the location of this hotel is fantastic , but the rooms are very small . i was told the price of my stay was 90euro which i paid on check inn & at check out thy asked me for more money & that theyd made a mistake . very expensive for such an aveage room. i will not be back to stay here !

The rooms are very small, that is no secret, it's obvious from the pictures. The location is excellent, just down the road from the spire, short walk to the River Liffey and city center. Lots of buses go down O'Connell street which is about 3 blocks away, from city buses to airport bus (Airlink) to sight-seeing buses. Lots of small shops around and plenty of restaurants. Breakfast was very good and a really reasonable price (8.50 euro for full Irish breakfast). Staff was perfectly nice and helpful although we didn't require much from them. Shower VERY small, hard for my tall husband to use. My husband said it was a bit noisy at night with people walking by but I slept right through it.

It was ok, very well located and the personel are nice

We arrived at the hotel and were able to park in the secure parking which was great. When we got to the room the window was broken, after informing the staff we were given a new room which was clean but small and dated. The staff were very friendly and helpful with tips on where to visit. The location itself was fantastic, near to the main strip and everything is within walking distance. There is a fantastic restaurant 101 Talbot and a great local pub the Celt right near here.

I loved staying at this hotel because of the free parking and the central location. It's definitely not too far to walk from Temple Bar if you are interested in going out, and the free parking is an amazing rarity in the centre of Dublin. My only concern was that I had trouble getting hot water in the shower, but I may have just been unlucky - the bath tap was very hot!

The staff was very nice and extremely helpful. However, the room was small (the foot of the bed was only 4 inche from the wall and there was approximately 3 feet on the left and right sides of the bed. The location was convenient (right in the middle of the shopping district and minutes to City Center and most of the attractions) but loud. People in the streets screaming (yes...screaming) until 4:00 am. The shower has no water pressure to speak of (literally trickled out of the nozzle). Probably would not stay here again

Repeat visit, will happily use again. Friendly, helpful staff, convenient location and great value for money. Only slight negative was that hot water supply was VERY slow to come through one morning.

The hotel is very much a budget-friendly hotel. That is to say that it is bare bones. When we arrived, our pillows did not have covers on them, and the pillows themselves were filthy (stained, obviously for years of use). We ended up using other pillows, which we had to ask for. The walls are paper thin, the room is absolutely tiny, and the shower was perhaps the smallest I have ever used in my life. We stayed for two nights at the end of our two weeks in Ireland, and this hotel was undoubtedly the worst we stayed at during our time. I barely got any sleep at all (all the noise from neighbors and the street outside was impossible to sleep through). That said, the hotel is in a spectacular location just 2 blocks away from the Spire and Henry Street, and just a 10 minute walk away from the river Liffey and Temple Bar. We spent almost no time in the hotel at all, so I still give it a 3 out of 5 based purely on the location. If you're spending more time in your hotel while in Dublin however, look elsewhere.

I heard all the bad comments about this hotel. However I was pleased with 24 hour reception help desk, the breakfast was lovely. Yes the rooms are tiny and I would recommend taking your own hair dryer but for the price was ideal. GREAT location for all main sites but the noise from the casino late at night was irritating. All in all a great little get away. Just don't expect perfection the hotel is 3 star and that's what you get.

Location was good but the hotel was i need of repair, plug sockets hanging off the wall, lights in room flickering, mattresses stained and uncomfortable.

Location is very central but area not the nicest- wouldnt recommend for tourists. The room I had was very small but clean. I didn't eat in the hotel or use any of the amenities, I am not even sure where the breakfast bar was. The wifi was amazing- very strong and fast. The staff were very nice and even allowed me to check in early. I would go back.

Room was stuffy and furniture dated. Carpet was dirty and mattress protector had hairs on it. Bathroom was very clean though! So there's a good point and the staff were polite and helpful... They just need to work on the rooms! Location was a 15 minute walk to where I was based for the weekend but the hotel area seemed slightly rough.

Hotel was great, we went for a theatre trip and hotel in a perfect location. Staff were all very helpful and a lovely breakfast. We were given a quiet room, as we requested, at the back of the hotel, (though other guests were noisy on the return to their rooms !). Only reasons room didn't get a top rating was it was rather small and could do with some updating, but it had a safe in it and was good value for money. And, of course, location location location!

Dublin City Inn is absolutely perfect for sight-seeing and shopping in Dublin, it is in such a great spot, right off O'Connell St. and it even has a small car park at the rear, that is such a plus in the centre of Dublin. The staff in the hotel are wonderful, very pleasant and helpful, and they always have a parking space for us. The rooms are a little small, but very comfortable. We have stayed in the hotel three times since July, and will continue to stay there. Everything is within walking distance, so it is the perfect getaway for anybody planning a trip to Dublin.

Most recent reviews were accurate. Friendly staff, great location, very cramped room. Free wireless a perk. Might stay again, but had very good experience with cheaper hotel just north of this location.

Very convenient location. Great having free parking in central Dublin.

the staff were very friendly and helpful,the room was very clean and there was tea and coffee facilities in the room too it was right in the centre of the city and it was close to all the bars and restaurants too temple bar was a 10 minute walk from the hotel and the day i checked out the staff let me keep my luggage at reception.

Hotel served its purpose. Nothing flash but clean and comfortable. Somewhere to put your head down for the night after a works nights out.

We were looking for a cheap weekend away before the madness of Christmas started and we got it! Room was basic but extremely clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Location was fantastic, nice walk to Temple Bar Grafton Street etc no need for taxis anywhere which can add up. The staff were friendly & efficient so absolutely no complaints...we got more than we expected for the money we paid. If you want luxury spend more but this was perfect for a weekend of pub culture and mulled wine at the Christmas market.

Very good value for money. Location just off the spire in O'Connell Street. I liked the fact that the coffee and tea sachets were replenished everyday. Clean and comfortable. I would stay there again. If you're looking for a homely Irish atmosphere it's probably not for you but if you're just looking for good value good quality accommodation it certainly delivers.

Very friendly and helpful staff, easy walking distance to all local attractions, including the Abbey Theatre, GPO, Temple Bar - comfortable and clean room.

Hotel is within 200 metres O'Connell St in Central Dublin. The room is very simple and from an older time but with everything needed for an overnight stay - clean fresh bed , ensuite bathroom free broadband . Very good breakfast and very reasonably priced

The room barely had space for the bed, but overall, it was a good stay. Very friendly front desk staff and easy to walk to all the city attractions from.

Enjoyed our stay, bed mattress was old and uncomfortable, but staff changed our room and bed was great! Perfect location for getting around both by public transportation and city tours. Staff suggested a great place to eat and we had a wonderful time!

Hotel is convenient but very noisy and outdated.

The best part of our stay with them was the hotel they booked us in the first two nights of our stay. The rooms we were in smelled of paint and tobacco. The street noises were continual all night. The amount of construction being done was almost total. Sorry we did not book with Ripleys Hotel to start with.

The hotel was in a great location to visit all the sites but also not to noisy. The rooms were small but provided everything you needed. The staff were always helpfull and friendly, everything was kept lovely and clean. This hotel was good value for money.

It is in the middle downtown and makes it easy to see the sights of Dublin. However, the room we found on our arrival had about 4 inches of clearance space around the bed, and the shower was broken. It only emitted a light mist. Thankfully the staff took pity and moved us to a family room, which was roomy, if dingy. The entire hotel looks like the only money put back in is to keep the basics running (except our shower). Breakfast featured cold, watery eggs, and rubbery irish bacon. Definitely found much better at a similar price during the rest of our stay in Ireland.

We enjoyed our stay here. though the rooms are small, there is and on suite, hair dryer and tea/coffee maker. the hotel is right dab smack in the middle of Dublin and though not luxurious, it is well worth the price. the breakfast 9which was extra) was excellent and the staff mannerly and helpful.

We stayed for one night while doing some sightseeing in Dublin. Although the room could do with some updating we were happy to have stayed here: very central, clean beds, good breakfast and professional and helpful staff. We were able to leave our baggage in the hotel prior to getting our room and after we had checked out which was a great help.

This hotel was really disappointing. It had a funky smell all over and felt dirty. The shower was not appealing to say the least!!! Outside noise from the busy, party atmosphere along with the HOT room with no air conditioning made for a really unpleasant stay.
