The staff were amazing. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable. Just everything was good!

Hotel Morgan is the best choice for staying in downtown Morgantown. The hotel restaurant is one of the best restaurants in town. My only real complaint is the breakfast. The description did not mention a continental style breakfast. The breakfast was very disappointing, especially for a hotel that has such a great restaurant on-site.

This classic old hotel, once the Hotel Morgan, is a little gem. Unfortunately, it seems not many people know about it. Beautiful woodworking in the whole hotel. Quaint bar/grille on the ground floor, was a delight and food was very good. There is a top floor formal restauant, which I understand has a great view, but I didn't get to that area. Room was huge! Nice King sized bed, ajoining to nice living area with full sized couch. Will definitely stay there again.

clean hotel in the middle of town.

My friend and I were visiting for a sporting event. The hotel was close to all the bars/restaurants of downtown and a couple blocks from the PRT station, which was helpful in getting to and from the game. Overall, it was a good trip! The staff was helpful and nice. I read a lot about smells and stuff, and honestly, it smelled perfectly normal.

Young and inexperienced check in staff were friendly and accomodating, but not "with it" in terms of being proficient and on top of their game. Yet to their credit - friendly. Bartender had an attitude. Hallways from elevator to my room needed to have paint stripped and repainted. Furniture in the room, headboards and upholstered fabrics were worn. This ain't old European, its just old.

I won't go back. Hotel smells really bad and has really dreary, depressing feel to it. The complementary breakfast was horrible. Not even fresh brewed coffee and had plastic plates and utensils and bad environment. The monitor in the "business center" was 10 years old and unusable. The WIFI in my room stopped working and I was told that many other guests have the identical problem I had...yet you won't fix it! Parking is a block away.

Everything was wonderful. There was one challenge with the check-in time. I had an e-mail that said check-in time was 3 PM. The hotel said it was 4 PM. I think if the check-in time is so late, check-out time should be later than 11 AM. I loved the hotel, but felt that the cost was too high for the minium amount of time you are allowed to stay.

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. We had an emergency evacuation due to a patron using a fire extinguisher as part of a joke. Staff was very timely in helping us get back into the hotel after this unfortunate event.

Breakfast was terrible. Service was good.

This hotel is couple of miles from interstate exit. If you get there after 10.00 PM better grab something to eat close to interstate before you come to hotel. You need unload in front of hotel and then go park in a place around hotel. Hotel staff is not aware which lot if full or empty and you may have to check with them couple of times to find what other parking places to use. Breakfast is basic and complimentary. Hotel reception staff at night are mostly students and some provide better service while others are busy as experienced by us.

A very middle-of-the road experience. Nice sized refrigerator in the room. Choice of feather or foam pillows - both were on the bed. Walking distance to a few restaurants, including my favorite wing place BWW. Parking is weird - across the street, not well marked, but it is free. Hallway on my floor smelled like unwashed feet, but the room didn't. I would stay here again, since it is only a couple of blocks from my destination. I wouldn't stay here if my destination was across town and there was a hotel closer to it. It's an OK hotel, but nothing to write home about.

Good hotel for the price and location was very convenient to restaurants and interstate.

We loved the ambiance of an older hotel that has been updated with modern features. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. The only negative was the fact that the "welcome" package included a 2 for 1 drink offer in the restaurant, but the restaurant did not know anything about it and would not honor it. I pointed this out to the hotel desk and the restaurant manager. The meal at the restaurant was quite good, so I'm not going to complain about the "not free" second glass of wine.

Next time I will stay in newer hotel. Overpriced for what it is.

This is a lovely gem of an old hotel which was somewhat refurbished sometime mid century but with quite possibly the loveliest hotel staff I have dealt with in a long time. The rooms are small but the refrigerator magnificent. Nice TV, not so comfortable 3/4 beds with a very uncomfortable sofa bed and peeling wall paper but nonetheless charming and clean. They bill a breakfast, but don't bother as what it is, is a lovely elderly woman manning a waffle iron, a few boxes of bran cereal, 2 bagels and maybe 4 or 5 tiny hostess donuts and some yogurt. The coffee is that of brown water and I think I saw a few small cartons of milk, so either charge more and do something real or don't bother with this fake breakfast. Otherwise, a step back in time with, again, a lovely staff. Great location in the middle of Morgantown so if there for downtown University perfect location. Parking is SELF, make no mistake, there is no valet parking and it is across the street (about 2 blocks) so drop off your bags at the door and then go park. Otherwise if you have to go to Morgantown (and we did because our son is a grad student there) then this is a great place to stay, but maybe opt for a king, but if bringing the family prepare to snuggle!

The hotel itself was nice, just a few minor mentions of things to improve. The wifi was a weak signal, the shades could be updated(small tears let too much light in), housekeeping could leave extra soap and shampoo for day 2 of stay. The main problem is out of the hotel's control but there's a lot of homeless people that set up shop nearby. They were not misbehaved, just sad to see. Shopkeepers and businesses need to come together to encourage them to seek safe shelter, which is available but not enforced.

The hotel was lovely, breakfast a definate advantage and the front desk staff was welcoming and friendly. The only downside was the 3AM garbage dumpster pick up outside our window. The window air conditioner was also on the loud side but as it was a lovely night we just opened the window. Most likely if we hadn't we would't have heard the garbage pick up. All in all would stay again.

There is nothing about this hotel that is "exceptional." The parking is in a lot across the street at the end of another block. The restaurant and lounge is closed on Sundays. The continental breakfast is a joke -- we went to a bakery attached to the hotel and bought breakfast on Monday. The room was nice and very clean but I wouldn't stay there again.

This is the former Hotel Morgan. The breakfast was mediocre, though. The location is great and the room was large and very comfortable. It is in walking distance to downtown and WVU.

Definitely an older hotel. However, it was very clean and the rooms were very nice. No complaints.

My sister and I had to travel from Ky to W Va for our youger sisters funeral and the staff was so good to us,with helping get directions and other things. Ben at the front desk was an Angel to 2 old ladies

Title sums up my experience. The staff every time I went through the lobby were not very friendly. The building is very old. But the location is about as good as you'll get in Morgantown.

This hotel was just what we wanted. Affordable, well-located, and we only had to pay for what we *really* wanted: comfortable beds and a great location. The rooms were quiet and slightly larger than average. Staff was extremely helpful with recommendations about stuff to do downtown, where to find a good winery, etc. They may not have a gigantic business center or huge fitness room, but for a couple days it's all you really need.

Although we liked the hotel and we will still stay there again, love the location- close to the downtown action- we were in a double bed room with a sofabed and there was no top sheet or blanket available for the sofa. I did go to the front desk and request them but somehow they never arrived. We made do but it would have been bad in the winter (we were there summer). The staff seemed friendly, the room was clean, the continental breakfast is terrible. All in all we would still recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel. Old building. parking lot is free, but about a block away from the hotel. Would stay again.

Great location. Stayed at the Waterfront before, but prefer this location. Nice bar/cafe upstairs. Would recommend to friends & family.

The hotel restaurant was, unexpectedely, excellent. Also, Madeleine's, across the street, was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was so clean and although it did not look very modern on the outside, it made up for it on the inside. I just loved our hotel. I wish they had a pool but we booked last minute.

Very quaint, old-style hotel. Nice surprise, actually compared to some of the Clarions I've seen. Good location. Easy walking to all the shops on the main drag. Would definitely stay here again.

La atención al cliente ha sido estupenda y la comodidad de la habitación también. Sin olvidar, que es el único hotel en pleno centro de Morgantown.

Tiene un lobby muy bonito, que si le dieran mantenimiento, sería extraordinario. El restaurante está muy bien puesto, en el último piso, con vistas increibles. Pero el servicio en general pésimo y las habitaciones descuidadas y sin mantenimiento. Muy lejos de ser un lugar para descansar después de un día de trabajo. No lo recomiendo por ninguna circunstancia.
