Hotel is cool and hip just like Berlin. Well located, 5min walk to subway, 2min walk to bus stop. Take bus 100 downtown and you'll pass all the major sights! Breakfast is silly money at 21 euro, nice litte cafe accross the road. The bar again knows how to charge but you are paying for the luxory of spending time in a trendy modern hotel. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

this is a great hotel - very clean, very nice decoration. it is in a more quiet area. so it is not loud and busy as those on the main streets where all the activities are happening. the restaurants, cafes, and bakeries in the areas are excellent. getting around is easy because the bus stop is right in front of the hotel. or if you want use u- or s-lines, it is a short walk to the stations.

Very nice hotel, and overall we enjoyed our 4 night stay. The venue would be especially great if you were hosting an event, since they have fantastic conference spaces. During our stay, we were staying in a more budget part of the hotel (or so we assumed, due to the price) and keeping this in mind, we were confused when some of the services that we thought would be provided with the room rate were not. The wifi internet access was the most frustrating. We had assumed that internet would be free of charge (like it is in the rest of Berlin, it seems!) but we were asked to pay an exuberant amount for it. Other than this one factor, we very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Berlin, and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Lovely hotel, had a huge room and good service, on a good bus route to take you to the main attractions and also near to the metro station

I stayed in a few hotels, all similar standard, on a recent trip to Berlin/Dresden. This one stands out because of its slightly funky colouring, mainly in the lobby and open and bright bar area. Slight negatives: corridors that seem really long, similar policy to Internet access to the other hotels (a fairly pricey extra).

service very good rooms not bad for the rate people very friendly and helpfull taxi right outside all day public transport out side the door sight seeing tour passes the door all in all a good hotel

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helped us with all our questions. The rooms were big and comfortable and I really enjoyed the music channels on the TV (being an english speaking person they were the only channels we understood). The 30 minutes free internet in the room was great and the safe was very useful. The hotel is located a little away from the centre of the city but not more than a 10 euro cab ride. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and recommend it for any travel group.

25 min from airport Berlin Tegel Very clean rooms. even though room was next to main street, it was no problem to sleep. --> good acustic insolation. Shortcomings: Breakfast not included in room price and with 21 EUR expensive. We went for breakfast to some cafes. No free internet.

we stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and enjoyed the size of our room (superior), the cleaniness, location, and service. The only drowbacks are the mattress which was a bit too soft for us and also the high cost of the buffet breakfast (21 euros). In general, the hotel is well worth the money and if we come back to Berlin we'll be happy to stay there again, and will be happy to recommend it to others.

the german staff should more friendly,and less serious,instead the foreign staff are nice and friendly,and smiling all the time

This is an excellent hotel and is near enough to walk to a lot of the main attractions in Berlin. Upon our arrival the staff were very welcoming and we were upgraded to a business room which was great. The room was very clean and the food from room service was excellent.and much better than some of the restaurants we visited!! I can think of nothing to fault - a first class Hotel!!

Lovely hotel, great location - only downside is breakfast is not included in the cost of the room and if you want breakfast its quite alot extra. In saying that there are lots of eateries in the area where you can get a wide choice of food for next to nothing.

pillows needed to be fluffier, but the rest was fine! close to kurfursten metro stop, and not too bad to reach from zoologischer garden stop from sxf airport either

Hotel Berlin, Berlin is in a quite neighbourhood about 10 mins walk from the nearest underground stop Nollendorf Platz The Hotel is modern, spacious and clean and staff are extremely helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel as breakfast was expensive at 21 euros each so we found cafes nearby where we could sit outside and people watch. Some nice restaurants nearby include Edd's Thai, a lovely Italian (can't remember the name) on the way to Edd's Thai and a German restaurant called Ambrosia right near the hotel.

Great hotel,great location for all sights

Stayed at Hotel Berlin from Thursday till Sunday. Thurs / Friday we did most of our touring around, Sightseeing bus tour as on Saturday it was extreamly busy, even in March. We had a Superior room on the 6th floor. The room would be the equivelent of any other classic room in a 4 star hotel that we have stayed in. No bathroom extras, shower cap, body lotion. Container on the wall containing a combination of shower/bath/ shampoo. The hotel is in a good location and would stay again at the Hotel Berlin.

I've never heard of a hotel that does'nt have a double blanket... We ordered a double bed, and it was annoying enough for me and my wife to sleep in seperate beds (of course we moved the 2 twin beds closest as possible, but still felt the gap between...), so at least we expected to feel like we're sleeping together in our anniversary we celebrated in this holiday... They told us they don't have double blankets even for those who got double beds... strage, ah? But besides that, the hotel is nice and clean. The rooms are big and comfortable. The crew is formal and not too friendly, but polite and helpful. The location is good: 5 minutes walking from an underground station and busses (just ignore the prostitutes that standing there at night... hehe)

The room and hotel were great. We stayed there 8 nights and had no problems. They cleaned the room really well each day and the hotel staff was nice. The location is great. Easy bus ride from the airport to the hotel. (only one transfer at the Zoo). Bus route 100 stops right in front of the hotel and goes to many of the tourist areas. Also the Zoo station is close and you can catch the bus, subway, and train there. Only bad thing was that there is no free internet.

- The hotel is quite big. Loads of rooms. - really fair room prices -> so "value for money" is really good - location is ok, but not perfect. Berlin Mitte (the place to be) is around 15-20 min away. - not too many sights near the hotel. - friendly staff - most of the guests are business people - room nice, but quite small - wifi internet is extremely expensive - really fair price -> so "value for money" was really good

We stayed here for four nights and it was great. Right by the bus stop and not too far from the U-ban station. The room was nice and the staff were friendly. Although the breakfast was way too expensive (19euro for a buffet) and they only had a shampoo/ body wash/ hand wash all in one thing on the wall. I'd stay here again, but eat else where.

We stayed in the Hotel Berlin, Berlin for two nights in October 2010. The hotel is conveniently located. A short walk to U-Bahn and Zoo Station is also within walking distance. We reserved a non-smoking room but none were available at our arrival. The reception was apologetic, but I would not have booked here had I known I would have a smoking room. So this is a fairly serious mistake from my point of view. The hotel breakfast buffet was so incredibly expensive that I didn't try it. We were a little surprised that this was considered a 4-star hotel, as the rooms were large but uninspired. The bathroom offered only a pump of generic hand/body/shampoo soap, for example. But I guess there are other services provided that we weren't interested in.

A great Hotel with ambience to match. The first room we checked in was way too small and we asked it to be changed. We were then upgraded to a better quality room which was just so much nicer and comfortable. The location is fairly central and all the shopping is a short walk away. Admittedly it's not in the buzzy part of town but then it didn't really matter. All told it was a pleasnt stay and the hospitality was good too.

Great hotel, well located. Clean, roomy and well maintained. Great value for your dollar.

Large modern room with all the amenities. Restaurant menu could be improved. Concierge condescending and not very helpful. Front desk people, on the other hand, spoke English and took the time to answer questions. Wireless internet was expensive and should have been complementary. April is a warm local German restaurant with excellent atmosphere, food and value. Sao Mai was another excellent Vietnamese eatery that was very affordable. Both near the local U- bahn station.

Bed was hard, pillows were horrible. But overall a good value.

Staff were incredible nice. Hotel was very clean. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Bus stop right outside the hotel and U bahn is just a 5 min walk. Quiet area, not many shops or bars nearby. The only small issue I had was I booked a twin room, however when I got there only a king bed was available.

Stayed at Hotel Berlin with 7 friends and we were genuinely happy with the hotel. It was modern, clean and friendly....for the money I would highly recommend it.

Only one small issue- the fridge wasn't working properly, but all else was wonderful. Great place to stay if you don't mind a little walking.
