Hotel is very easy to get to thanks to the superb transport system. The bar was very pricey,needless to say we only used it once! Staff are very friendly and efficient and the cleanliness of the Hotel is superb. Would choose a Hotel in a different area if I visited again,the Hotel seems to be geared up for business events such as a computer fair when we were there and therefore bar tabs and restaurants are paid for on expenses.

An amazingly modern hotel in the heart of Berlin with incredibly friendly staff and excellent amenities. The hotel is well located, in close proximity to buses, train stations, and with a taxi rank right outside, it is the perfect base from which to explore Berlin. The only fault I had with it was the slightly pricey breakfast (21euro per person) but with a wealth of reasonably priced eateries within walking this distance this was easily overcome. Absolutely excellent hotel in all other areas, and we couldn't speak more highly of the staff , who will go out of their way to look after the guest's every need. We'll definitely be back!!

Reception staff great, we arrived in berlin 6 hours before check in started, our bags were put in a left luggage room, perfect. When we got to our room it was great, comfortable, clean, lovely. Pillows a bit strange, they are big square, also we were in a queen sized bed but it had 2 single quilts on it again a bit strange but very comfortable. If you are going to berlin to sightsee this hotel is a good 40 to 50 minutes walk to the brandenburg gate and reichstag however there are some lovely little cheaper bars on the walk back. The tourist bus also stops right outside and it is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest underground station. Didnt eat in the hotel but the bar is pleasant, very modern and slightly more expensive than the bars outside.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, and spoke excellent english. The standard room was comfortable, clean and have everything we needed. The hotel is situated 5 minutes from the nearest U-bahn, and the 100 bus which goes to most tourist attractions is across the street. The hotel is very much aimed at hosting business conferences and events, and so it is not necessarily full of tourists, however we found this quite good, as it was never noisey and we always got a good nights sleep. I would definately stay here again due to its comfort, location and staff. Highly recommend.

In general the hotel is fine, but little things could have made it fine. - Requested for king size bed was given single bed which is smaller then normal, being 6" 1 sleeping in a single bed made it rather dificuilt. - The pillows are unconfortable - no soap in the bath for 3 days - No english tea was ever replenished The room was clean, and the staff in general very helpful.

We arrived around 6pm and the hotel was buzzing with fellow travellers and business people. We were welcomed and checked in quickly. Our room was on the 5th floor and we were amazed at the size of this hotel - after walking two long hallways we arrived at our room. Our room was a great size with plenty of room to spread out cases. We also had a view over the rear streets of the hotel. We dined @ the hotel restaurant on the first night and thought it was very nice with good food and friendly staff. The hotel is walking distance to the Ka De Wa, where you can pick up the Get on/get off bus tour. It is also about 20mins to the Kurfenstendam area, ideal for tour buses, shopping & Restaurants. We loved this hotel !

The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, speaking a variety of languages. The room was one of the largest we've stayed in while travelling in Europe and had all of the modern amenities. We had wanted a double bed but when we checked in they only had two singles because of a convention that was taking place at the same time. The reception offered to send housekeeping to our room to move the beds together which we did and the beds were comfortable. At first the 'complimentary' room wi-fi access was limited to 30 minutes and then there was a message about having to pay for additional time. By chance, when we were in the hotel bar trying to access their free wi-fi, the bartender told us to get the password from the hotel reception and it also worked in our room for the remainder of our stay. Don't pay for the wi-fi! Easy access from the airport (2 buses, 25 minutes total travel time), and located within a short walk to the metro (Nollendorfplatz Station). Shopping (including KaDeWe department store) and restaurants located within a 10 minute walk. If you are looking for nightlife and a busy downtown atmosphere it might be better to stay a little closer to Alexanderplatz but the metro and buses are 24hr on the weekends. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel and nice room (junior suite). Nearby shopping possibilities and u-bahn. Didn't have breakfast included but Berlin is full of other breakfast places.

Hotel Berlin is conveniently located near Nollendorf Platz U-Bahn station or it can also be reached by bus. It is about a 10-15 minutewalk froom the centre of town. Room was spotlessly clean and a good size. Very pleasant spacious reception area and bar. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The only complaint I would have is in relation to dining. Breakfast is quite expensive at €21 pp. We did not have it so I cann't comment on the quality of it. We had dinner there on our first evening and I found it dissappointing - very tastless and bland although reasonably priced. It is a pity because the head waiter really made an effort even giving us a free sample of wine with our starter in addition to what we had ordered with our meal. If the quality of the food was as good as the service it would have been a very pleasant dining experience. The one other negative experience was the cost of using the internet - €4 for 15 minutes - although it is free if you have your own laptop. Oveall this is a very nice hotel to stay in, it is probably more suited to business than romance and if you do stay here I would eat elsewhere.

The hotel is in a prime location with friendly staff

We've visited Berlin 6 times, and three of those times we've stayed in the Berlin Berlin. Honestly, I will never stay anywhere else when I'm in Berlin now. The location is perfect, away from the bustle of the city centre but still within excellent walking distance of Ku'damm. Zoo trainstation is about a ten-fifteen minute walk away depending on how quick you walk! Wittenburg Platz and Nollendorfplatz Ubahns are only a couple of minutes from the hotel. THe bus 100 stop is right across the front door! Breakfast is expensive at €21 but Cafe Einstein is literally around the corner. The Bar Berlin Berlin is really really nice, we've spent hours there drinking coffee and cocktails. The Berlin Berlin Burger is definitely the best thing on the menu! The rooms are fantastic. They are so much larger than you'd expect from a European hotel. THe bathrooms are lovely and big and bright too. I've stayed in the old style Classic Room (no longer available) and the Standard Room, and both have been such a pleasant surprise. New premium rooms are launching in March 2012 which I hope to stay in next time. The excellent price of the rooms is anotherpleasant surprise. The lobby is huge and the staff are so friendly. Anything you ask for just doesnt seem to be a problem. We stayed here in April/May 2010, November 2011, and January 2012, and we're planning on going back in November 2012 again. I love Berlin and I think this hotel makes our holiday so much better.

The only reason that I gave a 3 for the comfort of our room is because we had 2 single beds pushed together to make a double, this looked OK but when sleeping the beds would slide a part making a restless night adjusting the beds.

Myself and my girlfriend had a lovely stay in the very clean and comfortable hotel Berlin Berlin. We found the staff to be very helpful and the hotel was perfect walking distance to the Ku'Damm and KaDeWe which made for good shopping. It was also a very convenient distance from the U and S bahn stations. The only negative I would raise was that the air conditioning was very ineffective so we had to sleep with the window ajar to regulate the room temperature. I would definitely go back.

Clean, comfortable, huge, modern, standard issue impersonal hotel. Good value, reasonably well located. Con: Breakfast is overpriced and best avoided though we found few other options nearby.

Clean rooms, nicely decorated. Polite staff. The surroundings are a little boring, but 7 min walk to nearest subway station. Complimentary breakfast during weekdays, but STEEP prices in the weekend even though the selection was the same... Try neighbouring Bar Am Lutzowplatz, with berlin's longest bar, cool cocktails, and a nice crowd during happy hours (17-20) even on a thursday.

Very happy with our stay, very nice hotel at excellent value.

For the money we have paid it was a gift. Really good and true 4 star. I was staying on 5th floor and it was quite and clean.

I'm usually pretty critical about hotels, but this one was great. I was even able to get my room very early in the morning, which was very welcome after a Transatlantic flight. By the way, Internet is free now.

No breakfast included. Their "Free Internet" is so slow that the browser is timing out and you can't be staying in your room to use it. You basically need to be at the lobby. I found a cockroach in my room and the receptionist didn't seem to care. I got a voucher for their "fast" wireless Internet as a compensation...

We stayed four nights in November 2011 and cant fault the hotel, its excellent. The reception is very funky and there are lots of artistic pictures throughout the hotel. Staff were very helpful and the location is good with taxi's outside and a U-Bahn station about 5 mins walk. The room was a good size and quiet. The only negative thing was we couldn't get free WiFi!!! Great hotel and would stay there again!

I loved the stay in Hotel Berlin, Berlin....was everything you look out for in a 5 star hotel....except swimming pool....bus stand is nearby, Zoo station is nearby which has both U and S bahn train station and is central place....Brandunburg gate is also not far, which is main tourist attraction....staff was helping and I got really good deal...would surely like to stay again on next visit...

Spent 3 nights at Hotel Berlin, Berlin. Great hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. Good location, with bus-connection just a few hundred metres from the hotel. Don't recommend the hotel-breakfast, as it is quite expensive (21 Euro pro person).

Very large hotel in the business district near the diplomatic area. We were on vacation and picked it since we got a good rate. Service was very good. The desk was friendly and efficient. I mentioned a minor problem with the room to a waiter. He contacted the desk and took care of it. Room was comfortable but furniture showed some use. The flat panel TV was viewable but had snow on most channels - strange. About a 30 minute walk to the Brandenburg Gate through Tiergarten park. 30 minutes in the opposite direction to the Ku-damm shopping district. Restaurants in the hotel are not special. However there are good restaurants a couple of blocks away. Also the S-Bahn. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would go back if the rate was right.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel.a great location, the bus stop just nearby.its in a quiet neighbourhood so we can sleep late if we want to. nice & clean and a real value for our money. please keep yours standard well, so we can visit you many times.

the hotel is nice , big room , big and and compfortable bed. The people at the reception were not so cooperative.I wanted to change money and the person said that he does not have small money .He did not took my request to his colleagues, which stood next to him.Instead I went to three more persons,at the front desk, untill I found positive answer to my request.. This is not good service.

I recently stayed at the Berlin Berlin. I am very satisfied. Staff was very helpful and corteous. Location is not perfect but you can still walk to many of the city atractions. I strongly recommend this hotel for family and business.

This was our first visit to Berlin (with my wife Carolina and our little baby Andy), we stayed there for 3 days and 3 nights and the hotel has a very good location. Right across the street you can take any of the Sightseeing City Tour double deck buses, or should you prefer you can walk a few miles from the hotel to most of the major and most popular attractions and places to visit. We actually walked from the hotel to the Berlin Zoo, the Victoria Statue, Kufurtersdamm and Potsdammer Platz.. Front Desk staff is very friendly and gentle. We only needed to ask direction by the time of our departure and they were very kind explaining us how to get to the airport (without taking a taxi cab) The room was nice and it was always clean and in great conditions. Only minor complian would be the bed pillows: they were too soft, but usually most of the people liked them that way. In my case I find it hard to sleep with such a soft pillow (awesome for those who like it like that). We did not spend too much time at the hotel; due to the short of our trip we practically left around 10 am and get back late at night. Make sure to have a map and you would not get lost. We definitely would stay back at this hotel

Nice clean hotel within walking distance to shopping, eating, train and the Berlin Zoo. Friendly staff. Would stay again.

Hotel is modern and very clean. Decor both in the lobby and inside the room is modern but overall a bit cold. Some details are somewhat schizophrenic as if management can't decide whether to make them traditional or modern. Staff is very helpful and nice, but they can smile a bit more. We get a very large room facing the back, which makes it a bit quieter, but the bathroom lacks a bathtub, which doesn't seem to be a standard item in Central Europe. Furniture in the room rather worn and old (Couch showed tear on cushion). Bus stop right in front of hotel makes it very convenient, but U Bahn is a block away. Breakfast buffet is available in the hotel restaurant but very overpriced. Still overall a good hotel.

Close to Tiergarten and two bus lines -- 100 and 200 -- that will take you to sights of the town

The hotel is located in a business area and there aren't that many restaurants close by, but within a 10-20 min you can walk to a shopping center where you will find places to eat. The room was good for European standards. The lobby is large with a lounge and a cool spot to relax. Also, the breakfast is large and has a good variety.

We arrived early morning and the staff was able to get us room. Although it was a down grade from the room reserved, they add complimentary breakfast for two the entire stay. The room was ok, a little smaller then what we are used to, but the breakfast was delicious. WIFI was horrible in the room, it kept dropping connection. Overall the stay was good. The location is central to everything in Berlin. Just out side is the bus line and a drop of point for the Hop on Hop Off bus.

Where we did enjoy our stay in the hotel and the convienience of the No.100 bus and the underground was great,but the cost of the breakfast at €21 is more than you will pay for Dinner on the high street. Notwithstanding I would still recommend the hotel for its frinndly staff. And we did have breakfast on two mornings for convienience at a total cost of €84 but it was a very good fulfilling meal.

This is a very acceptable hotel. The room we had was clean, large and well-equipped. The front desk was helpful. Good restaurants within walking distance. Only low point was the inability of the staff to facilitate my continuous use (paid) of the internet. For some reason, each time I wanted to use it, I had to engage in phone calls to the front desk and then trudge down there. I gave up on the second day. Breakfast crazily expensive, especially when there are nice cafes within walking distance. Everything else was fine.
