Fabulous stay at the hotel. Good food, service, nice rooms and great location.

Cellai Hotel is a charming and comfortable hotel near the center of Florence. The service was exceptional and the room clean, with a comfortable bed. The hotel has a very good breakfast and charming afternoon honor bar. We would highly recommend to others as well as stay there again.

We have now stayed in this hotel on 3 separate occasions. It is a great hotel in a very convenient location. Love the antique furniture and memorabilia throughout the hotel. Great staff who are very helpful.

My parents and I stayed here for 3 nights. Our triple room was lovely. Staff were friendly and pleasant to deal with. But I think it was really the hotel itself, that I was most impressed with. It's a wonderfully unique building with an elegant fusion of traditional architecture and modern styling. I felt that the hotel really was home for the 3 nights. The roof terrace with the honesty bar is a lovely touch. It was within walking distance of all the necessary tourist attractions, was quiet and a perfect place to relax in for the evening. I would stay again and would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel. If you're looking for character and charm in a hotel rather than just a place to put your bags, this has it in abundance.

First we got a small, stinky room with only a small window poniting up towards the terrace. After asking for a replacement we got a really nice room and the rest of our stay was very good.

It is a quaint little boutique. If you are looking for a place with some character it is an ideal spot. We just needed a comfy room. We actually stayed at a place around the corner half the price for one night that had a better room. The staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was tasty. Neighborhood was safe and we were close to the train station. We were not happy with our first room because it had a smell, very tight, tv did not work and was adjacent to the elevator. The staff was very accommodating and moved us to a better room. We would recommend this hotel to our friends.

Hotel beautifully decorated, but tiniest rooms ever. Quality furnishings, but can't open doors fully.

This hotel doesnt look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled! The reception area was lovely, the room was fantastic (if only a tiny bit too small). The staff were extremely helpful! It is only a short walk from the railway station! Definitely consider this hotel if you are going to Florence!

My friend and I stayed here two nights. We drove from Pisa. Driving was difficult because the one-way streets. Parking is based on the size of your car. The location is great. It's a 5-7 minute walk to San Marco church and plaza. From there it's a straight walk down past the McDonalds (good landmark and free toilet!) on the corner and the Information center is at the end of the block. Continue on this street and you'll run into the Duomo and all of the people. The room is yellow Venetian style decor. The bathroom is spacious with a great shower, large mirrors, and a bidet. We each had a twin bed. I didn't sleep well either night because the mattress was not comfortable. I switched ends and it was better. My friend said hers was ok. I tested it and it felt a tad better than mine. They just need to be replaced I didn't say anything so don't know if it could have been remedied. Also, there is a lot of street light coming in and no dark curtains. Again, I didn't say anything, not sure why. Shauna, at the front desk, is from Scottland and is funny and helpful and knows the city. Breakfast is rolls, juice, coffee/tea, fresh fruits, yougurt, cereal, and there's a panini press to make your own sandwich. There are lots of quaint sitting areas to relax. There's an 'honesty bar' on the top floor balcony with beer, wine, water. You write down what you consume and it gets added to your bill. Cool idea! I wanted the hotel to be so awesome because it's so pretty, but was very sad and tired about the bed and street light. I told Shauna the last day and she said I should have said something.

Lovely hotel. A little off the beaten path, but Florence is very small, so it's just a two minute walk extra. Nice breakfast in a lovely lobby restaurant. Internet was not free, but they winked and gave it to me anyway.

I was disappointed by my stay in the hotel. The pictures on the website were beautiful and the ground floor / common areas of the hotel was a reflection of the photos which was pleasing. The hotel staff at reception were very pleasant and accommodating which was great. On the downsides, the rooms were not a reflection of the photos posted on the website. They were not thoroughly cleaned, carpets looked dirty and there were vacuum cleaners in the hallway areas. There were small cracks on the bathroom tiles and the bathroom door paint was peeling. The breakfast service was very slow and the staff were not properly trained as the tables were not cleared quickly. The hotel did not feel like it was a 4 star hotel at all as claimed on the website.

This was a bit difficult to find after coming by train...and a bit of a hike with luggage. Hotel was very cute-has a nice upstairs roof garden with a view. Staff was friendly & helpful-breakfast was good. Room was on the small side, but nice. Bathroom was very tight...toilet & bidet were face to face..Outside noises woke us up around 2:30-busy neighborhood.

t was a very nice experience. We had only 48 hours in Florence after skiing for 5 days. We were there to visit our son who was studying in Florence and the Hotel was very accommodating of our threesome. The Hotel was very good with the best shower and a very nice breakfast . We enjoyed jazz music in the bar and were very comfortable. The desk was great about keeping our bags after checkout so we could tour the city without lugging. We look forward to retuning

The rooms were extremely small with too much furniture. Bathrooms were clean though. But overall room and surroundings (corridors, lifts) condition wasn't great with creaking floors and lifts that refused to take us up or down unless pressed few times Breakfast was okay. Staff was friendly and helpful, though one was condescending. Location was good, one of the few redeeming factors

The front desk staff was very helpful in giving us directions as to where to park our car. The rooms could use a bit of a makeover but the location of the hotel was very convenient. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the wait staff was always attentive in seating us, replenishing, clearing, etc.

The location was pretty great for the money - about a 10-15 minute walk from the Duomo and Train Station, on a quiet street with a convenience store across the street. The hotel had artwork everywhere and lounge areas as well as a rooftop terrace with couches and cushions, a great place to have a glass of wine in the evening. The breakfast was also really good! There was also a bar in the lobby and a pool table. And I think there were bikes to borrow. Only problem was, the air conditioning was not very good - and it never really cools down in Florence. The only place where the air conditioning really seemed to work well was the breakfast room.

We decided to takea cab to the hotel rather then pull our lugage down the side walks. The 13 Euros it cost was well worth it. I think the way they measure it is as the crow flies and not the actual streets which don't go straight. Get your bearings before attempting any walks. Once you do this your home free. Friendly staff and nice neighborhoods with a flea market just a short distance away makes this a must stay at place.

Hotel was very reasonable, however very noisy neighborhood. The area was convenient but I was surprised at the amount of graffiti in the neighborhood. Hotel was very good for the cost. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Definitely a lot of personality. Could be better maintained but the location, the morning breakfast still make it a good value. Don't count on parking being available though. We had to park in a public parking one mile away (cheaper than the hotel one too).

This hotels common areas are well updated and stylish and comfortable. But the rooms really need updating. The terrace is lovely, but nobody had bothered to keep it clean Our bathroom was a wet bathroom = that is the tiny bathroom had no shower stall or tub. SO the whole bath got wet when one person had a shower. The breakfast was vile. We even saw a hair in the croissants. Makes me want to puke when I think of the breakfast. Our sheets were dirty when we checked in. Our carpets made us itch. This hotel haS A LOT OF POTENTIAL, BUT THE MANAGEMENT AND THE HOUSEKEEPING STAFF SEEM TO BE INDIFFERENT.

The staff is very friendly and the accommodations are pleasant but the morning breakfast was great! Great location as well!

This is a charming hotel, which derives much of its atmosphere from the pictures and furnishings in the many public spaces and on the spacious and comfortably furnished terrace. Our room this time was rather smaller and less well-positioned (on the corner of the two streets) than on our previous visit, but we were nonetheless comfortable. The breakfast is very good, although the service was a bit chaotic on the Saturday, when the lady in charge had her day off.

Chambre agréable, malgré le bruit de la rue un peu trop présent. Salle de bain un peu petite pour un quatre étoiles et surtout trop spartiate : pas de tablette pour poser ses affaires, c'est le point faible. Le petit déjeuner est correct sans plus. Les parties communes sont très joliment décorées. Très pratique si l'on veut visiter san Lorenzo, San Marco ou l'Accademia. Un peu excentré par rapport au Duomo ou aux Offices.

Appena l'ho visto in rete ho detto "wow! è lui!".Prenotazione fatta,arriviamo in serata ed effettivamente è molto raffinato e ben "scomposto" coi suoi strani passaggi tra i vari piani.Mi è piaciuto ancora di più ma appena entrati in stanza....LA DELUSIONE ASSOLUTA.Microscopica e bagno sporco.Facciamo il cambio stanza ma purtroppo UN'ALTRA DELUSIONE:sempre microscopica in più rumori e luce al mattino presto.La mia vacanza stava diventando un incubo.RICAMBIAMO STANZA,apparentemente carina(SEMPRE MICROSCOPICA) E CON BAGNO NELL'ARMADIO....con due antine...poteva anche andare ma non c'era acqua calda per la doccia.I materassi molto molto scomodi e i cuscini duri come sassi....mal di schiena e torcicollo a go-go....Peccato...poteva dare molto di più....Penso proprio che non meriti 4 STELLE.

Nice staying, and common areas of the Hotel+Breakfast are awesome. However, rooms are very noisy (all on very trafficated road) and not of the same standard as hall. It's not very cheap but decent prices and probably only worth using if the rest of the city is fully booked.

Supernöjd efter vår vistelse på Cellai Boutique Hotel. Hotellet ligger på promenadavstånd till alla sevärdheter och är mycket charmigt inrett. Dock är rummen ganska små och med små toaletter och duschar. Vi hade tur och fick titta på 4 rum innan vi bestämde oss, fick då ett ganska litet men supermysigt rum. Det finns en ny avdelning samt en gammal och självklart beror det på vad man gillar men vi valde ett rum i den "gamla avdelningen". Personalen var mkt trevlig. Frukosten var helt ok. Vi skulle gärna bo där igen och jag kan varmt rekomendera hotellet.

Ottimo hotel, centrale, accogliente e di classe, molto pulito,staff cordiale, colazione abbondantissima....consigliato

Trés jolie petit hotel trés agréble et confortable Un intérieur raffiné et classe seul bémol les chambres sont vraiment petits de meme pour la salle de bain

Ett mycket trevligt hotell. Bra service och trevlig personal. Endast ett minus - frukosten, trots att man serverade frukost till kl.10.00 så var det mycket som var slut kl. 09.00. Hotellet ligger centralt, 1 min. från Piazza S.Marco. 5 min. promenad till Domen. Bra atmosfär.

This is not a 4 star hotel. Our room 401 could use some paiting..and when you hate carpet on the floor, do not stay in this room.. the windows were really dirty the room is a the back of the elevantor, which makes a lot of noice...there is only 1 elevator which is not enough... even the breakfast was dissappoiting.. I cleaned my own table before having breakfast... foodquality was very poor... THE HOTEL NEEDS TO BE REFRESHED AND IS VERY MUCH UNDERSTAFFED
