Hilton London Kensington - لندن

I read the other reviews and selected this hotel based on them. The room was not dirty, but was kind of a dump compared to other Hiltons. I will say the concierge's desk was very helpful. Great location to catch the site-seeing bus, but a little far out from everything else. Not a bad property, but disappointing for a Hilton.

Hotel is a good value, offers great comfort and service. Located in a nice area close to public transportation. Rooms are spacious.

thoroughly enjoyed my stay with the hilton group.have never been let down when ive stayed here.was charged for 5 items from the mini bar which i did not use,but reception took care of it quickly and without fuss.i work as a chef in clontarf castle hotel in dublin,so being in the hotel trade everyone at work will know the hilton hotels are number one in my opinion,thanks for a wonderful stay. chef david

This hotel is very close to everything, and the mall next to the hotel also has everything. You will be able to find a very nice grocery store in the mall, so you can save a lot of money on food when you shop there for your meal. Also, the buses stop right in front of the hotel!! However, the Internet is not free

I was immediately surprised upon our arrival at how helpful the concierge was. He packed our bags on the cart and stayed with us throughout the placement in the room. He, Ivan, was as helpful throughout the stay as well. The staff did offer to upgrade our room at no upcharge...we refused as after having overnighted and adjusted to what we had. The location and surrounding area was very safe for strolls and walking excursions which we did a lot. Overall it was a good experience after the initial shock over the dollar to pound exchange rate. There is also a very nice large mall 2 blocks away. Finally, the Kensington Castle is only a few blocks away as well.

Have stayed here several times and always been satisfied. On this occasion, however, we were less happy with our experience. We were disappointed with room on arrival, small and characterless, but they willingly moved us to another small but better appointed room.Bathroom v small. Awakened at 6.25am by fire alarm, hotel evacuated, electrical fault eventually to blame. Got back to hotel at 8.15pm after day out to find room had not been serviced. Rang and asked for towels and eventually a chamber maid arrived and insisted on doing a full room service. This was the night the clocks went forward an hour so we settled down at approx 10.30. Awakened at 11pm by someone opening our door and asking if we were with the Japanese group(?);at 11.15 someone rang from Reception to ask our names (!) and from then on we were kept awake into the small hours by a loud disco for a wedding party. All in all, two nights' disturbed sleep. Bar prices v steep, by the way, £20 for 2 glasses plonk.

Usual good service, helpful staff.

Horrible,pokey and suffy little bedroom. Soulless bar area. Huge queue for the breakfast room. Staff were very nice but we will not be going back. So much better available in London ......we only went there as it was walking distance to a gig venue.

the staff was wonderful and let us into our room early. The room was clean - it was a little small but we were not there a lot. The breakfast buffet was worth the small addition to the room rate - it had everything including an omelet bar. The hotel was right on the central line so getting into the west end was easy.

The Hotel staff are polite and very help full. Hotel is clean and comfortable,very close to metro.

We stayed here as part of our anniversary weekend. The room was comfortable and clean, if slightly small. It is clearly one of the older hotels and could do with touch up. We wouldn't stay here again due to the cost but it is in an excellent location and the service was good

Check in was slow only 2 staff on duty. Booked a smoking room a couple of months prior to my stay however was told by reception that my room was given to someone else and there were no more smoking rooms. Standard room ok but very small, I have stayed in Hotels with a bigger bathroom than my entire room at this Hotel. Not great but fairly cheap for London if you get the advanve discount rate with offers. I have stayed in better Hilton hotels than this.

My girlfriend and I stayed for two nights at this hotel to enjoy the new years eve celebrations. Great location, just outside Shepher'ds bush. The rooms are quite good ( this however is not a new Hilton and it shows in some places), and the cleanliness was great. Room service was however, very slow and disappointing (1 hour + for a margherita pizza after we were promised we would get it in 20 minutes - it was later claimed that there were not enough staff as it was new years eve!!! - not the reply i expect to hear in a hilton) Also, the lack of a swimming pool was a bit of a disappointment - we were hoping to relax and unwind after a night of partying. Overall, the hotel has the cleanliness and class of a Hilton, but disappoints on facilities (and room service)........you pay more for the brand than the facilities.

We found the short tube ride to the hotel well worth it as it transported us to an upscale, quiet neighborhood seemingly light years from Oxford Circus and other noisy places. The hotel staff was great and I would definitely return. If I had an issue it would be their poilcy to charge for internet.

On the first night of our stay, my girlfriend caught site of what i can only describe as a very large RAT. I brought it to the attention of two different staff members who practically and very disturbingly thought it was a laughing matter. I did make a complaint to no avail!!!! Stay well clear. No e.mail address to follow on with sending a photo of RAT....

We enjoyed this location and the hotel. Great neighborhood, friendly staff, clean rooms with a fofortable bed. We had a good experience and would stay there again. Good value for the money.

We checked in with no problems, the room was the 3 floor facing the main road but we could not hear the traffic outside. The main rang us up to see that the room was up to our standard and it was. We had booked breakfast they had good selection both hot and cold,and the location of the hotel you could if you wanted to catch the London tour bus outside our the local bus or about a 10 min walk to the tube station we would use this hotel again

Hotel was convenient to tube and train station, very satisfied with service at hotel. Extremely dissatisfied with comfort of bed. The hotel mattress was hard as a rock and not comfortable at all. I did not complain to hotel management since I had seen comments similar, prior to booking.

Hotel was in a good location, bus stops directly outside the hotel, not too far from tube stations. Hotel staff were polite and let us check into our room at 10am.Breakfast was very good,as with all Hiltons.The only thing that let the hotel down was the room we were staying in which was very dated.The bathroom needed a lot of TLC.A plate with fruit thrown on it was on the side table upon entering the room, I wasnt sure if it was a welcome gift or food left from previous occupants!Had I been staying for more than 1 night I would have asked to move rooms.

For an expensive hotel like hilton I think its unbelievable that you charge for using the internet!

The hotel is of good quality, and is within short walking distance to Europe's biggest Shopping Mall - the Westfield Mall, where there is as well a tube station linking to other parts of the city It worths the money it charges and the only little drawback is it does not provide any free access of internet service, even in the public lobby area, as some other hotels do. hotel room with double bed very small, bathroom small, [if you are a full figured person you may not fit in shower tall]. recomend room with queen or king size bed. location a 5min walk to shepherds bush tube station and new shopping mall. taxi to heathrow around $55 [pounds that is] next time wil try and stay in a hotel along the piccadilly tube line, easier access to and from heathrow airport.

Very nice hotel. Delightful staff and close to many tourist sites. Easy access to the subway system.

Good value for money and excellent location. Close to Westfield, one of biggest shopping centres in London and easy access to the tube.

The sound of the toilet being flushed and water tank filling up was so loud both in the room and the room next door, that it woke you up in the middle of the night, could not talk on the phone, nor hear TV. The door banging noise from automatic door closing at most of the nearby rooms on the floor was very disturbing. Fro the price level of the hotel, these 2 items are very disturbing.

I came to London alone to visit my sister. This hotel is situated in a very good area, where you feel save. There arent many bars around there but you can reach the city center within 20 minutes and the nightbus stops right in front of the hotel. To say it in once I had a relaxing stay in a busy city like london. I would come here again!

This was my second stay at this hotel within two months. It is a comfortable hotel; a plus is ice machines - a rarity in Europe. Negative side - both times my room was super-hot. The ventilation/ AC system do not appear to work very well.

Overall the hotel is very nice. The neighborhood is a bit far off from the city of London but busses run every few minutes in front of the hotel. The rooms are clean. Some people are friendly and others were not. Compared to the US the front desk was not helpful in helping to find solutions to guest's problems. Overall, I guess I have to say maybe I was just dealing with some nasty people and not everyone is like that. We paid for internet and it did not work and I had to argue about 45 Minutes with the reception and the manager to get my money back. The breakfast buffet was very nice.

Very small room, bad cleaning service.

Hotel room was of adequate standard, nice bathroom with accessories from Crabtree & Evelyn. Quiet. Complimentary Tea/coffee & biscuits appreciated. Proper mini fridge. Unable to print off boarding passes without being charged (poor customer service). Charged for room service we didn't order - taken off bill without problem but wondered what would have happened if we did express check-out?

Nice hotel. "In hotel" restaurant was good for breakfast but poor value in the evening. Better quality 500 yds up the road in cheaper restaurants. Room was spotless but cluttered with too much furniture for the size of the room, hardly space to leave your case without it getting in the way. Would have appreciated a bath.

If you like hot rooms with min. a/c than this is the hotel for you. When we arrived the room was very warm and stuffy. Turned the a/c on to 5 c with warm air coming out. Called the front desk twice and finally received a call from the engineer on duty who said it was taken care of. Left to dinner to come back to a hot room. Called the front desk again and did not hear back. Had to open the window because it was cool outside but did not get any sleep due to all of the sirens all night long. This place has to be close to a hospital. Next morning the engineer finally got cold air to come out but it was so little never really made a difference in the room. Two sleepless nights. The only thing nice I can say is the staff in the restuarant and lounge were very good. Concierges recommended a restuarant for dinner that was over priced and my dinner was terrible.

The Hilton Kensington is well located near the Shepherd's Bush Underground station and within walking distance of fashionable Holland Park. The weather outside was perfect - around 20 degree C highs, and sunny skies. Conditions inside were not as comfortable. The AC system simply didn't work. The maintenance man assured me that everything was fine, but the temperature in my room did not budge from around 27 degrees C. To make things worse, the mattress was lumpy. A colleague was staying in a room on a different floor and had the same experience with his AC and mattress. I am a frequent business traveler and have stayed in many different hotels in Europe and the US. I am seldom disappointed with a hotel. I can't recommend the Hilton Kensington until after the AC is fixed, and they do a mattress refresh.

Took two twin rooms for week end trip to London with my 3 sons. Hotel is top class and well located for travel to city centre with some nice restaurants nearby.
