Hotel was fine, but WAY too expensive as it was not in the prime area of the city. Had to walk uphill 1/4 mile then downhill 1/4 mile to get to the action area, including restaurants.

There were some issues that made the stay very disappointing. They were out of in-room coffee the third - seventh day (when I left) The pancake maker broke down that day and was never fixed. Although I alerted the desk mid-day, I received no maid service at all the second day. The computer printers didn't work. Reception for ABC and CBS on the TV was not dependable. However, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful with requests for information, drivers, touring, etc. The manager Larry S. was always buzzing around working hard. The hotel is very spacious and clean, and the breakfast was in a large area, with a great selection (better when we had the pancakes...). The location is excellent and safe - within walking distance to the downtown action.

Was very disappointed in this Holiday Inn Express. After seeing the HIExpress in our local town where my parents have stayed while visiting this was disappointing. The room though non smoking was obviously at least a former smoking room. Cigarette burns were on several of the furniture surfaces, as well as the bathroom counter and the room smelled of old smoke. During the stay my daughter got a bug-bite on her leg overnight in the bed. The breakfast was excellent and delicious and the location is excellent for access to downtown locations, but expect to pay $20 for parking. Unfortunately you cannot leave your car there after you checkout for even a few hours. For our needs we will likely stay at a hotel more distant from downtown and then drive in for concerts. There is plenty of parking around the area and for far cheaper than the $20 they charge here.

Hotel was right downtown within walking distance of the sports arena, much of Nashville's night life, and other attractions. They had a convenient shuttle that took members if our group to local a couple of nearby locations. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would likely stay again.

Location is convenient to downtown. The Music City Shuttle stops right outside the hotel. The housekeeping staff consistently under-supplied towels, we had to request more every night. One day no housekeeping service was performed. No on-site restaurant, but a good brewpub nearby. Breakfast buffet was good. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

On-site hotel parking was totally inadequate as there are not enought parking places for customers. This is a particularly difficult problem at midnight, when you find that are no parking places, on either basement parking or outside parking. Other than this one failure, the stay would have received very good ratings.

Spent 3 nights at this hotel. Just a short walk up the hill from the bars to the hotel . Breakfast was great. We found after talking to others that this was the cheapest hotel on the strip. A must stay if you are doing the night bar scene, the Ryman, or a hockey game.

We, family of 5, were very pleased with this hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was wonderful. Great location to visit downtown attractions and restaurants. The only downside was the fee charged to park. We would definitely return here.

Great location for a downtown Nashville experience. Walking distance to virtually everything Nashville except Opryland. Book this hotel for the location not the in room experience.

People were friendly and location was good. They. Forgot to clean the room one day and I had to ask twice for new towls and for them to take out the garbage.

Very convenient location; courteous staff

The location of this hotel is the ONLY thing going for it. They added resort fees and this is NOT a resort by any stretch and then added a $21 parking fee! The toilet seat was a cheap plastic thing that wouldn't stay up when needed. Save your money and go to a more reasonable hotel and use the local transportation to get downtown.

Have been to Nashville several times now and continue to return to the Holiday Inn Express due to location, service and value.

We booked this hotel for its closeness to downtown. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable, however there were stains on the bed skirting we felt could have been bleached while washing. There was no vent in the bathroom and you could hear people from the hallway pretty clearly. We were so tired from walking downtown that we slept through it. The breakfast was more than we expected and was set up nicely. There is a parking garage for the hotel but it is extra. We had a nice visit overall.

Very clean hotel with very friendly and helpful staff! The breakfast was outstanding. Great location - downtown but without the high price! I would definatly stay here again!

The room on checking was very cold. The old heater took a long time to heat up the room. In the meantime, when I turned on the shower, it was barely a trickle, which never improved and was impossible to control the temperature. The hotel smells old and I am not sure if they actually clean the rooms.

Very clean, quiet, good breakfast buffet.

If you want to do the downtown bar hopping thing, this is a great place to crash at 2 AM every night. Very accomadating.

We wanted a hotel that was down town but within walking district of restaurants ansd country bars, and we got that and more. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast provided a good start to the day! We will stay there again!

The hotel wa very nice, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was great. The staff were very helpful and informative. It is centrally located to downtown and we were able to walk almost anywhere we wanted to go. The parking deck on the bottom of the building was akward and hard to park in. I didn't like that they charge for parking only to find no parking available when the hotel got full. We were told we wouldn't be towed if we parked on the street, but I didn't like having to park downtown overnight on the street.

Good location, a few blocks from the arena and bars

Best downtown value in Nashville. Short walk to entertainment district/nightlife, CM Hall of Fame, visitor center, Ryan and Bridgestone Arena. Shuttle service is nice but hard to get during peak hours.

After staying in a poorly maintained hotel, a night here was refreshing. Clean sheets, flat screen TV, and both firm and soft pillows. The location is convenient, making it easy to get back on the interstate or downtown. The breakfast was a larger spread than I've seen at a lot of hotels. Next time I stay in Nashville, this hotel will be high on my list.

Decent hotel, but extremely thin walls allowed me to practically hear whispers in the next room. About 5-6 blocks from the heart of Broadway. If I were alone I probably would have walked, but with a female with me we decided to drive at night. Can find reasonable parking downtown. Cheaper than the nightly rate at this hotel, which was outrageous considering the location. Nice large breakfast area serving hot breakfast. Parking lot is also extremely tight. Probably wouldn't stay again due to the parking fee and the thin walls.

very comforting stay, awesome bed, friendly staff, great location

From location to hospitality to service, the Holiday Inn Express on Broadway is my favorite place to stay in Music City !!! Located just up the hill from The District which includes Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena and all the nightlife of Lower Broadway a short walk away and not much further to LP Field, home of the NFL Titans. Front Desk staff was always helpful and courteous; breakfast was everything you could ask for, and the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle for anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel 6 days a week! Highly Recommended.

For the cost of this hotel you cant expect to much, it was extremely comfortable, breakfast could have been better not a lot to choose from, location good....

We consider ourselves lucky because we booked last minute and we were walking distance to all the Broadway Street action with bars and restaurants. We do not mind walking and it was a 1 1/2 miles to the stadium. The breakfast was excellent and had a nice variety . Only thing was no reviews ever said anything about parking. Parking is $19 a day to park, but like I said we don't mind walking.

This was booked at the last minute and couldn't have been better. Checked in way early, we were just wanting to see if we could go ahead and park so we could walk downtown and they got us in the room 3-4 hrs before check-in. Every staff member there was extra nice. Room wasn't the nicest i ever stayed in, but it was clean and nice overall. located on Broadway, it is just a short walk to downtown. We were there for a concert at Bridgestone and its 3-4 blocks away.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown end of September 2011. Hotel was easy for sat-nav to find although parking for check-in was tight and had to drop luggage at front entrance after check-in and I parked the car while my wife waited to try and get a cart, some twenty minutes before one arrived at reception. That aside the room was a good size two comfortable double beds. Location was excellent, we walked to all places of interest with in 10/12 minutes. My wife never felt unsafe any where we walked in the Downtown area even at night walking back to the hotel. This was are second visit to Nashville and we would stay at the Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown again.

Overall a good place for the money.

This hotel is in a great location, a short, safe walk down Broadway to all the great restaurants and bars. good breakfast, small rooms, most King bed rooms have a couch, this only has a chair. Staff is friendly You do have to pay to park every night.

Hotel is in an excellent location but rooms needed updating. Front desk is very nice. We left our do not disturb sign on the door only until 10 am and if we did this our room would not be cleaned for that day. Then when we asked for our room to be cleaned we came back to no towels. Parking is 18 dollars a day and the parking garage is very hard to manouver in with support beams all over. A car easily could have been damaged. For the price next time I will pay a little extra and stay some where else to enhance my Nashville experiance.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Loved having the shuttle take me around to the tourist destinations. Wished it ran from 12 to 6 though. The breakfast was fantastic and the buffet line was extremely clean and well stocked. I also liked having coffee available all day. Had a wonder ful stay.

Second stay at this hotel for business. Great service from front desk staff. Good breakfasts. Shuttle service available to near by locations. Hotel location is great. Within a two-block walk, you can visit the Ryman or several places to listen to some terrific music with no cover charge. Good food available in area.

We had a great stay there. Directly on Broadway, just a few blocks from south of the downtown. Its just a 10 minute walk or you can take the complementary shuttle. Service was nice. Rooms were clean.

Nice room, quiet night, great free breakfast.
