Belnord Hotel - نيويورك

Small, but comfortable room. Location is fantastic - 1 block to train, and only a 5 minute train ride from times square. I would definitely stay here again. I'm only in it to sleep in it!

We only needed a room for 1 night so I cannot give much of a review. I liked it but I think they should get in the habit of putting 2 sets of towels in each room, instead of 1 mismatched set. The room is only a foot bigger than the bed. The toilet became clogged in the middle of the night, even though the only things in it was urine & tissue. I really do appreciate the climate control. I prefer my room to be warm & it maintained warmth through out the night

We were very happy with the cleanliness and cozy atmosphere. It was well located for us and very near the subway. We can't wait to stay there again.

Me and My boyfriend had a great time!! Very small rooms but very clean, good hot water. location was awesome close to almost everything we needed. Alot of eating places and open very late. The rooms had hard wood floors and headboards. very nice, and very safe neighbor hood not enough space to move in room but i LOVED IT. the price was specially cheap. so even if your in town for the night and want to get away. I would stay there again!! Get the room with private bath a must. If not you would have to share with others..I'm a New Yorker who had fun!!! so trust me you would too!!

My stay at the Belnord Hotel was very pleasant. The rooms here are very small and only big enough for the bed and a small night stand, however I found this to be sufficient for my needs. The staff there are very friendly, and they even allowed me to check in 20 minutes early. This hotel is also in a very convenient location, with easy access to the subway 1 line, coffee shops, and a CVS within a block or less.

Conveniently located. Friendly staff rooms are extremely small. Smaller than cruise ship rooms! You can hear everything in that hotel. Good for the price. Good if you are only planning to shower and get ready to go out. You don't get much sleep because you are constantly hearing what the neighbor next door is saying or laughing, or people walking by on the hallway.

The hotel room was small, but clean. The location was ideal, and I felt completely safe coming and going at any time. It was an excellent combination of quality, function, and low pricing. The staff were all very helpful. The Belnord is a perfect choice for a quick business trip.

I had a quick stay in New York before returning home and chose this because of the price. I was extremely disappointed with it. The room was tiny (not an issue really) but the biggest issue was the noise. There was a generator or something under my room which started every hour, all through the night and kept waking me up. Also, anyone who happened to be on the corridor outside the room could be heard as if they were in the room beside me. Very unimpressed with the hotel.

I recently booked a night at the Belnord to attend an event uptown. I usually just stay with friends, but I knew that the subway ride back to Brooklyn could take at least an hour and a half and I didn't want the travel hassle. The price of the hotel made it feasible. The room was quite small (no room for a chair or desk) but clean and comfortable. My main suggestion, especially if you're a light sleeper, is to bring earplugs. It wasn't especially noisy, but when you're mere inches from the door and wall, you hear more than you need to.

Hotel room has very small place and there is no room to move.But very clean. Don't get popular TV chanles.

this hotel is very convenient. it is very close to central park west and subway trains. even though the room is very small is served its purpose well. very clean lobby and friendly desk staff! the price was right I would def stay here again!

Except the so small room, it is a good place comsidering its price

We stayed there the 21st of January 2012 also... Read the review that in short says don't go there !!!

This hotel was OK. The room was teeny tiny, knocked your elbows on the walls tiny. Sheets were mildly stained, not gross yucky stains, but old pen marks and the like - you didn't really want to crawl between them. In a nice neighborhood, plenty of restaurants and a little shopping within close walking distance. The parking garages in the area where extremely expensive. Serviceable for an overnight, but not somewhere you want to stay if you're planning to visit NYC and have an amazing experience.

The room was barely large enough for the bed, with no clothes dresser, no desk, not even a chair, and no place to open a single suitcase other than on top of the bed. The entire bathroom was smaller than my stall shower at home. This was more cramped than the Japanese "business hotel" rooms I have stayed in in Tokyo, but the price was twice as high as Tokyo.

We have slept at this Hotel twice because we did not know that the room are the smallest I have ever seen anywhere. We taught we had seen small rooms elsewhere in the world but this Hotel wins the CAKE. We were in NYC to take a boat for a cruise so the night before our cruise the room ventilation was very noisy and it took us a while to understand that it was not a parked truck outside that had it's motor running but that it was the floor bellow us ventilation system that was making that noise. The bed was not very comfortable. The second room after the cruise was a bit bigger but not enough since we had to put our luggage in the bathtub to make sure we would have room to move in the room. The washroom was almost half the size of the room and our cabin during the cruise was way bigger. The price was fair but I did not like the service. I felt like I was disturbing them almost like if I was a crook ???

I stay at the Belnord often when I am in NYC. It is very convenient for my business when I am in town, and it is also very clean and well maintained. I believe that the rooms have been recently renovated. The only challenge is that the rooms are very small. The room itself is only slightly larger than the size of the bed - just enough space to walk around the bed but no more. If that doesn't bother you, then I highly recommend it!

This was a very nice, small,clean,quiet hotel in a great neighbourhood with good shopping and close access to the park and museums. Perfect if you want a taste of the life New York residents live, Very convenient if you want to get downtown as it is one block to the subway and about 10 minutes to Times Square.

we got the same room. this time a little less painful but still need time to ask for code to get to internet. people could be nicer working behind the desk. toilet got a little dirtier than last time tho.

Nice, clean hotel. Really close to the metro. I will definitely stay there again another time. Also only a short walk from Central Park. Thumbs up from me. :)

This modest hotel has a wonderful location one block from the 86th street and Broadway IRT subway stop, and one block in the other direction to Amsterdam Avenue and many,many wonderful restaurants. The rooms are very small and very clean with bare bones but very adequate amenities. They are meant for the guest who wants to be out enjoying the city, not luxuriating in the room. Come back after dinner and turn in to get ready for your next day in the Big Apple.

Hi All, Just stayed at the Belnord--was excited to stay--the location is great. I stayed in a single room--the room was clean, but wow was it spartan and absolutely tiny! Definitely the smallest hotel I have ever stayed in--including my national and international travels. It was pleasant enough, but for me, it was difficult to get over how tiny the room was. You open the door, there is the bed and that is pretty much the size of the room. Also, the heating system was excessively noisy. On the plus side, the location is great if you want to be on the upper west, and right next to 1 train, one block away on 86th st. Overall, if you can get over the size and the close quarters, you'll be fine, but don't expect anything other than spartan in the single rooms!

From check in to check out, my stay was delightful and very comfortable. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Definitely plan on putting this hotel on my short list when in New York.

Great location. the room was the size of a closet.

no nbc on tv and no in room safe...small rooms are as clean or cleaner than any hotel i ever stayed

Yes, the rooms in this hotel are very, very small - in fact it is the smallest room I've ever stayed in. Even with the smallness of the room and space in general, it was a great place to stay. You can't beat the location on the Upper West Side - many restaurants and sites to see very close by. Walking distance to Central Park and great shopping very close by. And the price is one of the lowest in town. The entire hotel was VERY clean - no worry of bed bugs or other critters here! We'll definitely stay again, when we need a small but clean place to stay in the City.

We read the reviews so expected the small compact room. Location is great being right next tithe subway. Helpful staff, free wi-fi...great place, great price

I didnt stay the whole night, but i will say my stay was great and even though i didnt get to check out, when i called to check out , the staff was great and ensured me everything would be okay. I will visit again soon and i will recommend to my friends as well.

very nice room. but not nice people working behind the desk. very painful just try to get onto the internet. the room is very small. but clean overall. for resting your head for a night or two, it's ok.

This hotel was very clean. The room had nice real wood trim, as did the hallways. It's a small room, but the bed was comfortable, nice flat screen TV, good heat and is literally 1 block from the subway. There is a Starbucks just around the corner. It Hotel is very Retro looking and reminds me of some of the classier modest hotels in Europe. Great value for NYC.

It was in a nice area but the rooms were quite small to my surprise and also the walls were quite thin

Great location - clean neighborhood with lots of food offerings! Cozy room - not much of it even by NY standards!! We only slept there so it didn't matter. There was a nice closet with shelves to store luggage so you didn't trip all over yourself. Room was clean and staff was friendly - would definately recommend to a friend who was on a budget and wasn't particular about space.
