Nice place for a comfortable, quiet stay near transportation. Clean and friendly. A little pricey.

Close to subway and Central Park. Tiny room - just a bed 4 walls and private bath. Barely room to move. Ideal to sleep, but not if you want to spend time with others at the hotel.

Comfortable stay.

The hotel is clean, and the staff are very friendly. The only problem is the fact that you can hear a pin drop in someone else's room from yours.

Clean rooms, excellent service. Great deal for location. Small rooms to be expected in NYC.

The only good thing about the hotel is its location and the staff. The room was pitifully small, even for the price. The appearance was old and dusty.

The room was very small, but that really didn't matter as all I did was sleep there. It was clean, no pests of any kind, and the building was extremely well maintained. I'd definitely stay here again!

We were visiting family members living nearby the hotel so we gave it a try. The hotel itself is clean and modern with what seemed like recent renovations and the front desk was professional. The main drawback to the hotel was the micro-size of the rooms. That being said, the bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning blew cold and the room was quiet away from traffic noise as requested. The room was impeccably clean and every square inch seemed to have a purpose. Parking was offered nearby with discounted rates for hotel guests. I will likely stay again at the hotel, but due to the tiny size of the hotel room it was not a good place to hang out. The great neighborhood and fine restaurants nearby are better designed to serve that purpose. If the rooms were larger, I would have given the hotel five stars.

Very Small rooms but FANTASTIC cleanliness and service and the Absolute best deal in NY. Great neighbourhood away from the madness of Times Square yet close to the subway and a fast trip into the heart of the beast. I WILL be staying there on my next trip to NY next year.

The location was unbelievable! One block away from Line 1 of the subway, and the neighborhood felt very safe. Some shopping (Banana Republic, Club Monaco, Brooks Brothers) right across the street. Very many quick places to eat and coffee shops nearby! Overall, it was very convenient. The only thing is that the room was tiny, so if you are traveling with a large party, I would not recommend this hotel. My favorite feature of the hotel was that it was only a 10-15 minute walk away from Central Park West!

needed a good solid place to stay overnight and this was it. Room was small but clean. Bed/pillows a bit uncomfortable but clean and for the price we could deal with it. This is my secod time using the Belnord while traveling in NYC and I would return again.

the toilet leakedwater at all times, and some noisey woman yelling into her phone in thehallway woke us up at 5:15 in the morning

The hotel was convenient and clean. However, I felt like I was staying in a cell. This was by far the smallest room I have ever stayed in. I could touch all four walls from the standard double bed.

I was in Manhattan for my daughter's college graduation. I had hoped for something closer to Lincoln Center but the Belnord was what fit my budget. Tiny room, but hey, it's NYC they dont waste space! :) Very clean room with all new floors, walls and bathroom. I have no regrets...convenience stores, deli, grocery and several options for casual dining. Taxis to Lincoln center were easy to get and at only $7 for the ride. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks guys!

Just hop on the Subway and you can be anywhere. I wanted to be close to Columbia--only 3 stops away. I felt very save in the neighborhood. Great remodel. Efficient staff. Clean and lovely bathrooms. Sure the room was small, but for a single traveler in need of a place to lay my head, it fit the bill. I would definitely return. I do hope they upgrade the quality of the pillows and bedspreads.

The rooms are recently renovated and spotlessly maintained. It's one of the cleanest hotels in NYC. Great location for any where you want to go on the UWS or midtown. The rooms are very small, if that is a concern. The front desk staff is adequately helpful. I stay here frequently because it is close to where I need to be, it is very clean, and it is usually reasonably priced in comparison to other Manhattan hotels.

The ocation of the hotel could not be better for me. The help was most obliging. My only complaint was the size of the room and the bath, however the cleanliness and A/C were excellent. I would return if they have a larger room for me.

We were very disappointed. The room was tiny. The staff was ok but nothing special. Just not what we expected. Have stayed in many different hotels in New York, this was by far the worst.

Room was so small could barely get dressed in it. Air conditioning didn't work. No amenities whatsoever not even a vending machine. Skip the Belnord.

What i expected for the price- about an 8x10ft room with a bed. Very very small- but extremely clean.

Good location in midtwon manhattan , very clean, safe and friendly hotel, rooms are on the smaller side with not a lot of room for big suitcases, but all in all that was a minor detail, main thing was rooms had a comfy bed for sleeping ( in the city that never sleeps :) ) and hot shower when you wake what're time it it is, really happy with our stay here at the Belnord.

I was travelling alone for work and stayed at the Belnord. I liked it quite a bit considering the cost. The upper west side location is great and it its only a block from the 1 subway and you can transfer to 2 express at 66th. Yes the rooms were small, but since I was traveling alone it was fine. I wouldn't want to share the room though. The room was clean and fairly recently remodeled.

The price was great because of the price guarantee. We booked at $759 and followed it to $549 just a few days before leaving for a 3 night stayLocation was good too. A block from the 1 train and a few blocks from the B-C train. Close to my favorites.... shake shack , baked by Melissa and Cafe Lalo. It was clean and had everything we needed. The reason for the 3 rating is the space. Too small for a couple. The room fit a double bed and 1 night stand. That's it. You can barely walk around the bed. The bath was the same. Shower, toilet and sink. Imagine an airplane bathroom with a tub.

small room but a nice friendly hotel in a great area

hotel was nice and clean and close to subway to time square. rooms were so tiny that one full bed was very tight in the room. bath was also small but very clean. I think the price is not worth it because of such small rooms.

Very tiny room, but most important to me is cleanliness and this hotel met the mark.

4:00 a.m. disturbance from other inconsiderate guests was not handled well by night staff, which continued for over 30 minutes. walls are paper thin and rooms are tiny. would not recommend.

So close to subway, Central Park and great restaurants in a lovely, quiet part of Manhattan! All things about hotel excellent (clean, well appointed, great shower), yet would look forward to a better quality bed next time. Very reasonably price; I would recommend and use again.

The rooms are just as noted in other reviews, very small. Which wouldn't have been so bad if they had used the space better. But for instance, there wasn't a single hook or rack anywhere in the room to hang anything, not even a towel rack for wet towels. One of the days we were there, the housekeeping never came at all. I will say they did respond to my request for more pillows fairly promptly. The location is good, right down from the Metro station. And there is a Starbucks & Dunkin donuts closely for coffee, which is a good thing since the rooms don't have coffee makers. Overall, we probably could've found something better for the money.

Lousy hotel. Too small. Didn't like it at all. Please stop recommending this to other guest. Remove them from the hotel list.

The hotel was nice and clean, the Staff was rude and surly.

Newly refurbished, very clean and a good place to spend the night as long as you dont want to hang out in your tiny room. Guests tromping up and down the echoing corridors can disturb a good nights sleep so bring some ear plugs. Coffee in the morning in the lobby is a bonus

The people are very nice and the Upper West Side is splendid as always, but the TINY room filled entirely by the (decent) bed to the point where I could barely get my suitcase into the room make this hotel good for an economy sleep stop and nothing more.

We knew going in that the room would be small, so that part was no surprise. It was clean. My first shower ran out of hot water in two minutes and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels or clothing. Hallway was noisy at times and Housekeeping woke us every morning opening and closing their closet door(next to our room) and standing at the closet rattling papers or plastic or whatever, for several minutes; their walkie-talkies added to the problem so that going back to sleep was impossible. We won't be staying there again.

The front desk staff is very helpful and understanding. Will definitely come back!

A tiny room, unfit even for an overnight sleep stay. Any Motel 6 room seems to be a palace in comparison with this.
