Hotel is in the perfect location, close to Times Square, 5th Avenue and Central Park. Would stay there next time.

aesthetic of hotel is modern and attractive, and slightly curving hallways, dimly lit halls and subtle colors are very appeasing. noise insulation of rooms is excellent, but room size is inhibiting. service is less than what one would expect of a property such as this: the principal concierge makes minimal effort, hardly anyone speaks french, except for bonzour,and the maitre 'd in the restaurant hardly speaks any english either. free 24 hour internet on 3 lobby comps is a big attraction. the ghost of DSK is perrvasive. overall would say experience is pleasant, but we expected something extraordinary, especially for the price.

We really enjoyed the Sofitel. I can't think of any negatives.

The accommodations were very nice from the hotel lobby to our room and the each member of the staff that we encountered was very polite and accommodating. A really great experience.

It is a question of taste, I suppose, but I prefer other hotels in this area and price range. Staff is cordial and helpful. Phone service is at times slow and very inefficient -- incoming callers have trouble reaching guests. The business center is inadequate for a hotel that caters to this clientele. The hotel restaurant food is a bit lacklustre, although the service was impeccable and the waiter did his best. This is a top-flight hotel that needs a little help to get on track.

We had a good stay, room was clean and updated, nice shower head. Great location between 5th and 6th ave.

We were impressed from the first moment we pulled up. The service was superior. The hotel manager remember our names throughout the weekend and said hello every time he saw us always asking if there was anything he could do to make our stay better. I have stayed at a number of higher end hotels and would recommend this hotel as one of the best.

This is the nicest hotel I have ever paid for myself. I did a lot of research on Manhattan hotels and this one is highly rated but pricey. We wouldn't have stayed here until a 24hr. room sale brought the price into our range. The room was quiet, comfortable, clean. The workout room fully equipped. And the hotel on a nice street nicknamed "club row" which is very central. All this made our visit special.

Close to shopping, theater, Time Square, excellent guest services. Got room with 2 single beds and room was a lot more spacious than expected.

The hotel was beautiful the customer service was excellent. Would definitely sta there again!

As a person who never writes reviews this will tell how impressed I was! The service was fantastic from the moment we arrived and the room was extremely clean and comfortable, my wife's words - "best nights sleep ever!" Special mention to the concierge who managed to magic us up some passes for the 9-11 memorial on Sunday! Superb!

We loved our stay at sofitel hotel. It's in the perfect spot, a very short walk from times square main area so the room was so quiet. The room was quite large in comparison to other hotels in new York and the bathroom was stunning! We have a two yr old and all the staff were so friendly with him. I also loved the fact that they provide proper rollaway cribs not play cribs and also give you a rubber duck and a toiletries pack for babies. Such a great touch. Thoroughly recommend this hotel!

Overall we were very happy with our stay at Sofitel. The location is great, the service very good, and the rooms/bathrooms quite nice - especially by New York standards. Don't really have anything negative to say and will plan on staying here again.

Room was perfect. Accommodations superb. The only glitch was the ice machine was not working on our floor. The maid inferred it had been out quite a while. This necessitated a jog down the back stair case to another floor. ,,, not fun after a long day sightseeing. It should be fixed. Conveniently located. Walking distance to Broadway. Had a wonderful stay.

Great location - about block & half from Times Square & subway Staff were excellent in assisting us with any info needed Rooms were clean, fair size, daily serviced We had a great stay, next time will be longer

My husband and I had a great stay at the Sofitel. Room was great--cleanly, spacious (for NYC), comfy bed, great bathroom! Location is convenient to Bryant Park, Times Square, and 5th Ave shopping. I would highly recommend.

This hotel was a lot iof fun. We were treated well and the food in the dining room was tasty...we ate breakfast there 3 or 4 times. Pricey, but very good service and quality of food. We also had champagne and creme brulee every night...lovely. So is the apple crisp with ice cream. The bathroom is outstanding (why I picked this hotel,,,wonderful counter space and excellent shower), The bed was dreamy...

The hotel was beautiful and the staff was first rate. The only problem we had was downloading a movie. Took several tries before working. Desk staff assured us we would only pay once and we did. Would definitely stay there again. A little pricey but you can't beat the location, beauty of hotel, and amazing hotel staff!

the staff working in the hotel was very friendly and kind and also I liked the location of the hotel because you can easey walk to time sequar and 5,6 7 avenues

Room was nice and clean however very compacted with little walking room around bed area. The view wasn't the best however, the walking distance to Times Square is a very short distance. Would stay again if price is right.

A sumptuously decorated top-end hotel so close to the hussle and bussle of Times Square but quiet and luxurious. Like an oasis the fresh flowers were abundant on every floor, the bar was fabulous and service excellent.

From the moment I walked in the treatment was royal. Doormen, security and front desk staff were all friendly and helpful. I was assisted by Albert who went out of his way to investigate a room upgrade for me, personally visiting the room beforehand to make sure it was ready and had a good view. The room was spacious, immaculately kept, furnished beautifully and truly embodied French luxury with a taste of old New York. The TVs were new with Bose sound systems, France 24 and other TV stations that I normally cannot get anywhere else, and the Hermes toiletries were outstanding. Gaby's restaurant and bar were lovely and very reasonable by New York standards. I also ordered room service (a treat I know) and while it was expensive as all hotel room service is, it was *worth* it. My meal arrived quickly and exceeded my expecations in portion, presentation, and quality. Everything about my stay was 5-Star. Other high end properties in New York could really stand to learn a thing or two from The Sofitel. Book it, you won't be disappointed!
