Comfortable. Valet parking was very convenient.

Excellent location - you can walk everywhere. Friendly staff and top notch accommodations.

Had a wonderful stay at the Paramount Hotel. The room was clean and quiet and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Really loved how this hotel was situated close to so many amenities.

Nice Hotel. Use SmartPark across the street for $14/day parking. Frozen yogurt across the street also and hotel is within walking distance of the Crystal Ballroom.

Fantastic location, clean, quiet, stylish and near all my favorites. (Starbuck's, Elephant's, Nordstrom, Departure).

Great great hotel. Would stay again in a heartbeat. Good location, walking distance to most stuff I wanted to see, also close to a lot of transit. The staff at the hotel were incredible! By far the most friendly, helpful staff, especially the concierge Ed - he was amazing. Ask him to make you dinner reservations!

The staff was freindly and attentive. From the moment the valet greeted me when I pulled up to the front door unitil he delivered my car when I departed every member of the staff that I enountered (front desk, bellman wait staff in restaraunt) all made me feel like a valued guest. I've travelled a lot and that kind of real (not ofrced) frienliness is not often found.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. It is located on an open square and there is lots to offer within walking distance. The price is a little more steep than what I was looking for, however the accommodations and location are worth the price. I would recommend the hotel to others.

Good sized room with king size bed. Bathroom had separate shower and a large jacuzzi tub. Very comfortable. Pleasant staff. Close to restaurants and movie theater. Starbucks next door.

Nice "luxury"hotel in an ideal location. Well-maintained. The adjoining restaurant was a winner also. If you are a walker at all you can walk most places you'd want to go. If not, its a couple of blocks to the trolley and light rail stops.

Everything was perfect except for the noise from the garbage trucks at 6am

Mattress was great and toiletries above average.

We had a lovely stay at The Paramount. My only complaint was that it was REALLY loud with early street noise during the week. (Think garbage trucks and dumpsters at 5 AM) It is to be expected in the city and would have been better if I wasn't such a light sleeper.

The hotel is overpriced. it really isn't all that nice considering what they want for a room. I do like to grab snacks and sodas out of vending machines occasionally, and the way they have theirs laid out is pretty ridiculous. There is a vending machine on about half the floors, which will either have snacks or drinks - not both. Of course they tell you which floors have which machine, but fail to mention things like "Oh, by the way, one of our drink vending machines has nothing but water in it. Good luck figuring out which one." Valet parking is convenient, but at 31 dollars a night, they're pushing the limits of my laziness, since there is a parking garage maybe 150 feet from where you drop your car off. And apparently if you book on hotels.com, they feel absolutely no need to give you a decent view. Ours was a killer look at the neighbor's dingy rooftop AC unit.

Impeccably clean, luxurious and very quiet room with attentive and informative staff in great downtown setting.

The hotel staff was very friendly and prompt. The location was amazing, we walked every where downtown. The room was very nice and spacious, the bathroom was large also. The hotels appearance was clean and it showed in the rooms as well.

We stayed here one gorgeous weekend in March. The location is really fantastic - central, walking distance to nearly everything you would want to do in the central core. Staff were helpful and friendly, and the room was comfy and very clean. We'd definitely stay there again.

Was very unhappy with the misleading pictures from hotels.com. It was NOT what they show you online. I payed twice the price to stay here than I would have if I had gone with a hotel I was familiar with. I wanted a nice room and what I got was not that. I won't be recommending the Paramount to anyone. Please update your pictures and descriptions online as it is very deceiving.

.... but not terribly special. Perhaps a room above the 5th floor would have had a better view

We visit Portland 4-5 times a year and always like to find new places to stay. We loved this hotel and would return; friendly staff, awesome bartender, comfy rooms, bathroom was awesome.

My friend and I were extremely satisfied with the Paramount. The location of the hotel was just perfect for myself and my friend, as we were within walking distance to all the places we wished to go. I nearly didn't book this hotel due to the steep hotel parking rate, but luckily read another review about a cheaper over night parking lot just 3 minutes walking distance away from the hotel! In addition, the size of the room, bathroom, and the comfort of the beds were also appreciated. I'm so happy I was able to find something comfortable and affordable.

Loved the location, with the large plaza right in front of the hotel. Staff members were all super friendly. Doormen were great in particular. Room was clean & comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

This was our first time staying at The Paramount Hotel in Portland. Check-in was speedy and the people at the front desk were friendly. Our room was clean, comfy, roomy, and stylishly decorated. We even had a balcony with French doors overlooking the square. We also made use of the hotel's complimentary business center to print some documents which was very convenient. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown and close to great shopping, restaurants, bars, and attractions. Overall we were pleased with our stay and are very likely to stay at The Paramount Hotel again during future trips to Portland.

Really enjoyed the Paramount. We were in a perfect location and walked a couple blocks to the Arlene Schnitzer concert hall in the evening. The staff was wonderful and helpful, the rooms perfectly clean - all in all great!

I picked it mostly for location - downtown, close to train lines.

We've stayed before and it's our first choice to have a "staycation" in Portland. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plan on staying again.

I was in town for a quick business trip. The hotel was clean, easily accessible, and the concierge, Ed, was the most helpful person ever. He gave us all of the best dinner options and then called ahead to the restaurant where we got special treatment per Ed's instruction. I'd definitely stay here again.

People were very friendly

The hotel is very conveniently located and the accommodations were comfortable, but you pay for the convenience in valet fees unless you want to spend some time hunting for street parking yourself. The service was prompt and the staff friendly. We had a long wait for the elevator on the day of checkout because there was only one and it was busy, but it was only one minor inconvenience in an enjoyable trip.

The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Looking forward to our next stay.

Room had peeling wallpaper by the windows and dirty grout in bathroom. Plus you could here everything out side even though we were on the 10th floor!

We enjoyed our stay at the Paramount and will certainly stay here again.

Very nice and responsive staff. The only complaint is the price of parking. There are several garages near by charging half the price.

Great place will be back loved it

I was quite ill, and traveling for business. The front counter staff were amazing, ensuring my room was in a quiet corner so that I could get to bed early and sleep...the concierge immediately offered to send up an extra pillow and suggested a comforter for the rather cold night. Fantastic service! The room overlooked Director's Square...breathtaking. The only down side was that the water in the shower the next morning never quite got HOT...just pretty warm. Not the best to start out on another cold winter day.

We liked everything accept the front desk staff. They were alouff and unfriendly. We had a problem with the Internet and you would have thought we were asking for something special. Maybe that's how big cities operate but not where we live. The rest of your staff from maintenance to waitresses were very nice and helpful.

The room was cleaner, newer, and more comfortable than any of the hotels in downtown Portland that I have been to, and most of them cost way more. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. The bed is the best and most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in. The location is hard to beat if you want to be in downtown. Across the street from Elephant Deli and Starbucks. One block from Pioneer Square. The Saturday farmer's market starts on the block behind the hotel. Hard to bear. I only have two requests: 1- fix the doors to the patios so that they seal properly. Maybe sliding doors would be better? 2- The arm-chairs in the rooms are a bit dated stylistically and not super comfortable.

The staff at the Paramount were fantastic and the rooms were exceptional. The bed was extremely comfortable.
