Room was nice but being on the first floor and next to the stairs was way too noisy. I should have switched rooms when I realized the high school kids would be going up and down the stairs so much.

The hotel was was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Very decent hotel for the price. It is located on a one way street can make finding your way out a bit tricky. No complimentary anything - not even coffee (except for a small coffee maker in your room with undrinkable stuff). So be prepared to walk down the road to the gas station or Starbucks if you're a morning coffee drinker.

hotel is in good location right downtown with good views. However the first room we were assgned was dirty expecially the restroom. Requested to change so the front desk assigned another room. Still a little dirty but okay.

The room was ok but we didn't have hot water for a shower.

We had an excellent stay and it was pet friendly which was the only way we could have stayed.

I stayed in the Salt Lake city location last week. I had stayed there before and it was ok, but this time was was an eye opener. The A/C smelled bad (maybe the first time it was turned on?) but I stayed because I use a CPAP. But what got me the most was checking out. The desk person did not ask me how my stay was. However, she asked the couple behind me as I was leaving.....They seemed friendly when I checked in. Wonder why the change in customer service?

Our stay was very comfortable. The staff there was accommodating and made us feel welcome. Also, this hotel is in a great location.

While the Red Lion was fine for the price, even with the drapes drawn, there was a chilly draft thru the slider and the wind was whistling thru the night. The age of the property suggests some updates to weather stripping etc.

stayed here for a few days. The room was clean, roomy, and extremely quiet. Enjoyed all the staff who were very helpful.

The Red Lion is a convenient place to stay in SLC. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and the refurbished decor is nice. The rates are usually reasonable and the staff very helpful!

Bus to ski slopes a few yards away, ski shop opposite. Ideal for skiers. Coming from UK I didn't have a clue how well placed this hotel was going to be. Very convenient airport pick up, excellent room. I would suggest a room high up for great views of the mountains. Staff always polite and helpful, though they all seemed to contradict each other about transport to the ski slopes. They kindly allowed me to chsrge my phone through their PC on reception as I had a UK plug only. Would definitely use this hotel again

For the price it was great. Will stay there again.

We were on our way back to Hawaii from the Sundance resort and saw a snow storm coming, so through Hotels.com we booked a room at the Red Lion. It was close to the airport and worth every penny for the peace of mind to catching an early morning flight back home. The staff was helpful and kind, and the little diner downstairs had good quality diner food... The room was clean and comfortable and we appreciated a restful, though short, night's sleep.

We had a very pleasant stay. Staff warm and friendly.

I would not grade this as a 3. Possibly 2.5. Simple items that I am used to from a 3 that I did not get at this hotel. A safe in the room, Free continental breakfast, newspaper. Plusses that were unexpected: Microwave Other comments. Check in was very slow. Understaffed for a weekend.

We got an excellent price for this stay, so overlooked some concerns. Ryan at the front desk was great - efficient at getting us checked in. We were not impressed to get off the elevator at 9 p.m. on the 12th floor to be greeted by huge bundles of laundry in the hallway. The room wasn't as clean as it could have been (toothpaste or something on the bathroom door and light switch) an there was water damage on the ceiling, but the room was large, the view was nice at night, and the bed was comfortable. We do NOT recommend the breakfast buffet in the Cafe. No customer service and it was barely a step above the breakfasts many hotels provide for free.

The staff was lovely and could not have been more helpful. It made our stay so much easier.

Location is good and service fine. Parking easy, accessable and free. However, the hotel restaurant does not have the greatest selection and the roof top bar/restaurant I was looking forward to had closed/went out of business. This inforamtion must be provided on the web. In general I felt the hotel is due for an upgrade.

The information about the hotel offfering complimentary shuttle service is a bit misleading. They only offer the service if they are not needed at the airport. Also the Sky Bar is closed and had been since last July.

The hotel staff was very friendly and could not have been more helpful

This hotel worked for just staying one night. It was the cheapest room we could find that was still rated over 3 stars. However, I would probably give it a 2. Things are obviously well worn out in this hotel. The room had a weird smell and the bathroom looked like a lot of the corners and edges were rotting. Lighting was horrible, and the shower head was so clogged that it basically just drizzled on you or shot out in all different directions if you tried to adjust it. On the plus side, the beds and pillows were comfy and clean and they had a nice TV in there. Also, of course, the price was a plus. So, in my opinion, if you were only staying one night and were looking for a good deal, this hotel is okay. However, if you are planning on staying any longer, I would spend $15 more dollars and look elsewhere.

The general atmosphere was just uncomfortable throughout the hotel.

NIce stay- loved that it was close to trax. Enjoyed the hot tub.

Had a great stay for a couple of weeks. Staff friendly and helpful and room a really good size. Could pass on to the hotel as a training piece it would be good if the cleaning staff didn't use clock radios when cleaning the room as twice alarm was set at 6am in the weekend which was rather annoying!

We had an amazing stay here!! The shuttle woman was the nicest lady!!! She took us where we wanted and also gave us her card to call when we were ready for pickup!! Front desk also very nice and the bed in the king room was GREAT! Thanks red lion!!!!

I must say that the staff was very helpful and accommodating. I truly felt that I was important to them and they appreciated my business. The hotel is always busy with airline staff and they still managed to make us feel like I was a VIP. My hats off to the staff at Red Lion I have high standards when it comes to customer service and you meet them all. thank you.

They have transportation to Amtrak, Quite nice. No free Breakfast. Had special...not too good. A la carte was expensive.

There were three of us ladies sharing a room for a quick training in downtown SLC, and we were looking to save some money. We were very pleased with the comfort of the room, the ability to have a roll away bed - that was fairly comfortable especially for the value price! I appreciated free parking! I also like how the fan noise was constant versus stopping and starting like so many hotels. All in all if you are looking for a good deal and not some luxury hotel, Red Lion is a great fit!

our window seal in the room was broken so it was freezing in there and we told the front desk and nobody did anything about making the customer happy.

Great Service! Drop off & pick-up service was great value

Super comfy beds. Hotel diner was great. Location was perfect for a one night stay over and a liesure walk to the Jazz game. However, there seemed to be a lot of drifters in the parking lot area.

Always a fantastic place to stay.

Hotel accomodations were reasonable considering the price/night. Clean bathrooms, beds, floors. I had a comfortable room. But, the parking lot was not very desireable. Every morning I would see broken glass from breakins of vehicles. At times I had to come back late at night, bad lighting, homeless people around parking lot, not safe for a woman or anybody. Very few entrances to the hotel after hours, you had to walk around one entire side to get to an access. This was a great concern as I did not want to risk a break-in of my rental car.

I have a very nice stay (5 days) at the Red Lion. Very close to the Trax (lightrail system). The Staffs were very friendly and helpful. I'll stay here again if I visit Salt Lake City.
