Candlewood Suites Durham - دورهام

I loved the convience of how close it was to Chapel Hill! The room was nice, but...A former smoking room, turned into non smoking...you were greeted with the stale smell of smoke everytime you walked into the room. Even spraying a can of Frebreeze didn't get rid of the smell. Definitely in need of new carpets and curtains. The bathroom door was also broken. The bed was very comfortable and the trip to Chapel Hill was a breeze. All in all a decent place, but definitely need to do something about the stale smoke smell.

This hotel is mainly for those staying a week and more. It is reasonably well furnished, reasonably clean and reasonably priced. No really good restaurants close by,but plenty of cheap eats. Front desk staff friendly. The AC is very, very loud.

very happy with the hotel - clean, comfortable and warm - internet was fast - shame breakfast wasn't included tho...

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Candelwood in Durham, NC. It was so close to our niece who we were visiting. Tina at the front desk was so helpful making sure that our suite was ok. The only minor problem was that the A/C was really cold if you were sitting on the couch. Luckily our weather did not demand constant A/C. The kitchen was adequately equipped and the nice big table was perfect for putting potato salad together for 24 people. Bed was extremely comfortable and the quality of the linens and pillows was super.

Our daughter lives in the area, so we plan to stay at Candlewood Suites frrequently.

As nice as any Candlewood Suites I've ever stayed in at half the price. Highly recommended. I'll definitely stay here again.

I always enjoy my stay at Candlewood Suites. it's clean, comfortable, has the basic amenities anyone could want and the price is right. The staff is friendly and accommodating too!

I use this hotel often. No frills, but clean and the staff are very friendly and attentive. I also like the small convenience store in the lobby area. It is well stocked and always has free coffee.

Location is not the closest but close enough to get to the places I needed to go. Overall, it was a good stay except for the maintenance in the hallway and the noise from the floor above.

PROS: - friendly and attentive front desk staff - well-lit parking lot - 24 hour fitness room - kitchen included in the room - they have a small general store with an honor code system for purchases CONS: - in a business park area that isn't super close to downtown Durham or Chapel Hill (but still only about 15 min drive away) - A/C unit in the room is loud - housekeeping came at 8am!! Overall, a nice stay. I'd recommend this hotel.

Pros - The bed was very comfortable, Hotel was generally very clean & in good condition even though it was around 10 years old, Staff was nice, Close to highway, restaraunts close, chik-fil-a across the street, quiet neighborhood Cons - We were given a double bed instead of the queen we had booked, room key stopped working the second day - had to have it reset, late check-in was a little confusing ...about 15 minutes from UNC
