this was a nice place to stay as we toured door county. Nice price for the quality of the hotel. Only drawback was the distance to the sites in door county. Still would recommend this hotel, very comfortable

We booked a room with a spa for our annual anniversary trip. The hotel was close to the edge of the town and very easy to find and very accessible to the entire area. Many of the upgrades that this chain advertised showed in our accommodation. The sound-proofing they touted didn't quite live up as advertised, as a separation anxious puppy was left in the room next door (The people in question weren't gone much more than a couple hours, but we were glad they didn't stay out late.). We noticed a cracked tile by the spa and there was some paper waste left on the floor by a previous guest. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

Room was up to Americinn's usual high standards. What my wife appreciated the most was the hot breakfast that was included. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and make-your-own waffles put the cherry on top of our wonderful stay at the Americinn in Sturgeon Bay. This hotel gives the B&Bs of Door County a run for their money--at a fraction of the cost!

This hotel is comfortable and meets our needs well. We would definitely stay there again. We have stayed there three times, and each time we have been very satisfied.

I think the fan in the bathrooms do not work because our swimwear never dried hanging in their overnight with the fan on, which makes the room smell and feel damp and musty. The carpet was wet when we got there also and stayed wet the entire stay due to nothing to pull the moisture out of the room.

This is the first time that we have stayed in Sturgeon Bay so we didn't know what to expect. The AMERICINN is a small location but quite, clean and the staff was friendly. We asked the front desk person the first day that we were there, where a good place to go for prime rib. She told us of a local supper club called the Nightingale and also gave us a 10% off the total bill coupon. She was right - it was a great place. They also have breakfast every morning and a small coffee bar. This location is close to the Door County Wineries, we would stay there again.

the staff was very friendly. we had our grandchildren come to swim in the pool and have pizza with us. It was alright with them and did not make a fuss. everything went smooth.

After a week in Door County, this was our last night on the peninsula. We had stayed in 3 other lodgings that were equal or better for much less. At least the accommodations were really nice.

I would definitely stay at this hotel again. It was clean, the breakfast was awesome and the location was good in reference to surrounding activities...not too far to drive to the main area. The only issue I had was our toilet got plugged after one, two second, use and the hotel staff made us plunge it ourselves. That would have been fine, however, there was not a plunger in the room. We asked if someone could fix it while we were out and they said to come to the desk & get a plunger. But the rest of the stay was fine. Room temp was easily adjustable, there is a McDonald's, convenient store and Target right across the street for any forgotten or needed necessities. The breakfast staff left a little to be desired in the way of helpful/friendliness but we were able to deal with what we needed ourselves.

The room was convient to get to and clean, but the one chair in the room was about to break (foot rest broken) and the staff needs to learn how to smile.

I stayed at the AmericInn in Sturgeon Bay and found it to be just what I was looking for. The cost was very reasonable, and it is in a convenient, easy to find location. It's not the most scenic hotel in Door County, but for those who will be out most of the day it is a good choice for the budget minded. The room came equipped with a microwave and refrigerator, and was very clean. Nice pool and hot tub. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
