It was very nice! Clean! Centrally located and exactly what we needed for a mini getaway!

Lobby very modern and contemporary, very nice. Was shocked when we walked in room, very outdated, the picture that I booked off of was NOT anythig like the room we received. Disapoointed

We wouldn't have changed a thing. The pool and breakfast were excellent, and my wife and I really liked that check-out was at noon on Sunday....an extra hour makes a big difference with two young children!

All standard amenities, comfortable clean room, helpful staff, good breakfast

great stay. The only thing I didn't like was the clock/alarm clock didn't work. The time never changed while we were there.

Perfect for our family of five! Quick drive into the city, great breakfast, nice staff. Room was clean and comfortable. We'll definitely stay here again!

My stay here was horrible. They chose to have a teenage MC-tournament or party of some kind the weekend I was there. The party got extremely out of hand in where cops had to be called. I had to stand in front of the window in my room at 1:30am to make sure that the squirm of kids surrounding my car were not going to damage it. The lobby was extremely loud given the party was hosted there. They filled the restrooms and were making racial slurs as girls took pictures of themselves.

Overall a good stay with a slightly noisy HVAC system in the room. Will stay here again.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The biggest issue was chilkdren runnung through the hall ways a lot.

Springhill Suites Elmhurst was a great place to stay. We were travelling with four children in tow on short notice for NYE and needed a decent suite. The bedding for the hide-a-bed left a lot to be desired (i.e. no fitted sheet, ancient blanket). The staff were very accommodating and patient with all of the guests. The breakfast on New Year's Day was phenomenal! Great tasting hot items and a full compliment of the normal Continental fare. Fresh fruit, CLEAN waffle irons that were accompanied by two types of waffle batter. This hotel is a little difficult to get to from Chicago proper. GPS sent us through a neighborhood. I looked at the overall map and it turns out that is the best way to go. Don't think you're being sent on a wild goose chase, you'll get there. This hotel is about 30 minutes from downtown Chicago in average traffic so that was the only down side for us. However, the price and service were right on the mark. Would stay here again!

We came to do thrift store/consignment store shopping. It was very easy to get to all the other suburbs. Everything was only a short drive away.

The breakfast was included...and it was surprising to see so many people there, since we really didn't hear anything all night! People were friendly. Temperature in the room had few regulation possibilities: low heat, high heat, fan off, high cool, low cool. The fan was good at providing "white noise", which helped with any kind of hall noise. We were next to the elevator, and didn't hear it at all when we were in our sleeping area.

We had a good time and were happy with the comfort of the beds and the availability of a fridge and a microwave in the room. We were also pleased that the complimentary toiletries were high end and found the expanded double room clean and comfortably sized for a family of four. We would have been about 20 minutes from downtown Chicago if it were not for traffic and the hotel is very close to the highway. It was nice to stay here where parking was free rather than paying to park in the city. Plus we seemed to always get a really great spot. The breakfast was a pretty decent buffet and we were able to try something different each day of our three day stay. My only complaint is that the hotel rents the pool out for swim lessons. We were confronted with a very large class that took up the whole pool and kept coming and going letting in a draft from outside forcing us to give up our swim, which disappointed our kids.

Going cross country we decided to stay a few days in Chicago. Discovered that my hotel choice was 20 miles from Lake Shore Dr in Chicago. Just didn't look that far on the map! When I mentioned this at the front desk, they reminded me our costs would be double in the city. Plus we didn't have to pay to park on site. A wonderful free breakfast, free wi-fi, nice indoor pool, and our large semi-separated room are this hotel's best qualities. Also there is a conveniently close and cute shopping/dining area in Elmhurst proper. A TINY bathroom, hard bed, and the distance from Chicago are qualities which were somewhat disappointing.

GOOD LOCATION TO PARK

Our room was absolutely fantastic! Loved the comfortable beds and was able to sleep like a baby. Breakfast was a great selection of foods: yogurts, fruits, bagels, waffles, eggs, sausage, ect. Only bad thing: Swimming pool was freezing cold!!!

An enjoyable stay.

This hotel was great for the price. It was only 20 minutes from downtown Chicago. The continental breakfast was better than we expected. I would stay again.

though very unhappy with the fact that I plan online meetings and when arriving at hotel then the internet is down and the answer is that it will be up later....

The stay was very good and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms smelled fresh and was very clean. Overall an excellent hotel.

We booked this hotel for our Chicago stay in late August and was overall very satisfied with the hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean and we liked the kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. Great for family stay as we had 2 double beds plus sofa bed. Swimming pool and free breakfast big plus. The hotel is about 30 min drive from Chicago so keep that in mind if you only want to spend time in downtown Chicago. We took the train but you need to get a shuttle to the station and back as you cannot walk. The neighboorhood does not offer any close by shopping etc.The only restaurant close by is a diner but it was good. Overall great hotel but location is a minus if you want to live very close to Chicago.

Great location! Room was musty and caused our kid's allergies to really kick in. Beds were not comfortable and felt like we were sleeping on an angle. Breakfast was included and selection not bad.

Loved it. We Stayed in a Springhill Suites in Hershey, PA and thought it was awesome so when we needed another reasonably priced hotel for our family I didn't even look at other hotels. Straight to Springhill Suites. Lobby was nice and deco. Rooms and elevators were cleaned promptly. We went down for breakfast one morning and when we came back our beds were already made. This room is spacious enough that when my little had a cupcake and was bouncing off the walls the other two kids ,myself and my husband could all watch comfortably from afar. Only stayed two nights this time. For longer stays would get connecting rooms (we still have a little one who needs naps and an earlier bedtime) Because the price is reasonable this is an affordable option. This is not really close to Chicago if you're looking to be going in and out of the city. Really close to cute area with big needs--grocery, and little needs-CVS. Also close to individual shops were you can park your car and walk. Not the city, definitely the burbs

Nice hotel and nice staff. Would stay there again.

friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast (waffle bar, oatmeal, biscuits and gravy!). the neighboring restaurant was very good and reasonably priced with large portions. only complaint i have was the ajoining room door would bang in the jamb everytime the neighboring guest would open their door.

I have stayed repeatedly at this hotel over the past three years. This is the first time I have been disappointed. Both our room and that of our relatives' were very smelly. They had a musty mildew type of smell each time we entered the room. It did not make it very appealing to want to sleep in these rooms. The breakfast area is out of control. Just too small a space for all the people trying to get breakfast. The space needs to be reconfigured so there is more room for people to get food and not be such a narrow aisle to get to food. The elevators are really slow too. My husband suggested on our next visit to look for another hotel.

We enjoyed our say. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We particularly enjoyed the free shuttle which we used to connect to the rail. This was convenient and saved us time.

Great location...just off interstate and can be downtown Chicago in 20the minutes. Kids liked the pool. Good breakfast every morning. 2 beds and a pullout so the kids didnt have to share. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff were incredibly accommodating. Rooms were well laid out and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable. Being in a busy area--our room was very quiet. Would stay here again.

We liked the area. It is a short trip to the train station and the downtown resaturants. It's a good place to stay if you want a good hotel price and then travel into the city every day.

Definitely had a very helpful staff. Have to say that they did everything they could to give us the information we needed to travel into Chicago. They provided a free shuttle to transport us to the Metra station and picked us up again when we came back from Downtown. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was awesome. Drawbacks were that the layout of the room was not the best. Sink was outside the bathroom. We were in a suite and the TV was placed so that it was halfway between the two rooms. Worst part of our stay is we have a 10 year old who loves to swim. We went to the pool and they had the pool rented out for swimming lessons. That was disappointing.

Nice, large rooms. Good breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here many times already and I have always been pleased with the quality of the hotel overall. For the price it is a very good option if you are in the area. The rooms and the hotel overall are well kept. The service is always good and the morning breakfasts have many and plentiful choices. The convenience to the expressways is great so it is an easy ride to O'hare, downtown Chicago or any of the western suburbs.
