Loved it. Tub had a little sag on the bottom so water did not flow to drain. Otherwise, the hotel was great. Good restaurant and shopping plaza across the street. Internet worked fine-free at low speed fee for high speed.

The room I had was very run down; the lineoleum floor was loose, the sheets were pilly, and in the morning I noticed stains on the blanket! You can hear the TV in the room next door, too. I would not recommend staying here.

nice relatively cheap place to say not a five or four or three star hotel in the traditional sense, but great place to stay to visit the DC area. "full" kitcvery clean laundry off and on to the interstate and close to lots of restaurants and shopping.

Hotel was well maintained outside.....room minimally adequate.....room rug burned, stained, bathroom in need of serious thorough cleaning....cabinets water damaged, shower head dirty.....pillows smallest and nearly flat....TV small and old setting on top of dresser..carpet floor not vacuumed around the the edges....dust cover to box spring hanging down to floor....BEAT PROPERTY in a great LOCATION...I took pictures but cannot upload them to this review.

The hotel is good great price but only thing it needs is that they need to install LCD Tv's. its not 90's anymore but over all a good hotel with a great price. Very Quiet neighbourhood and all the food places are nearby.

I cannot recommend this hotel. The location is good but that would be the only positive comment I could make about this hotel. Many things in the room were broken, it was very dirty and noisy. Although all the rooms in our area were supposed to be non-smoking, there were several young men hanging around outside the rooms smoking. It was not a family friendly environment.

Expected much more based on hotels.com rating. Did not stay after checking in and inspecting the room. The "nonsmoking" room was filthy and reeked of smoke. Other guests, one with door open and standing in boxer shirts and tee shirt, were cooking adding to the noxious smells. Moved to the Hyatt Fair Lakes.

I arrived at 11:30pm. the room temp was about 85º, no a/c running. at least the unit worked once i turned it on. there were no ice trays in the freezer, so i called the front desk -- no ice machine at the hotel! eventually the front desk attendant got ONE GLASS of ice from trays in an unoccupied room, and brought it to me. coffee mug wasn't clean, had to wash it before i could drink coffee in the morning. then, an hour before checkout, the front desk (different person) calls to confirm that i am checking out. ??? what if I were still asleep, there was plenty of time left! i wouldn't have remained there a 2nd nite if it were the only hotel in northern Virginia.

Clerk called at 1030 n asked if we wanted to extend our stay when checkout time was 11.

First thing whenI entered the room, I killed a roach. The room included a kitchenette & coffee maker. I could not find any glassess, cups or dishes. They were not where one would expect to find them. It was hard to get to the entrance and took several circles around the block and a U-turn.

Goes out of their way to accommodate. Kitchenette a bit small but doable. Make sure you want in the area because if you think you can go 10 miles away quickly you are wrong! DC traffic is a bear!!! Overall a good place to stay, quiet, affordable.

Too many bugs in room

terrible entrance location!!!! at night time check in

outside appearence in very decieving----rooms are REALLY outdated and not worth the money for the stay or location-----back to Marriot for me or Comfort Inn

There were multiple cockroaches in our room. We had to spray. Not a comforting thought.

First room had mechanical issues. AC wasn't working and rooms smelled of smoke. Second room was MUCH better condition. However, countertop had some sticky stuff on it. Lots of hairs in the bathroom. The worst was urine stains on the base of the toilet. I've stayed in cleaner hotels in 3rd world countries.

The hotel is very nice and close to our kids. The rooms are nice size and great for our kids to stop by for a visit. The hotel is in walking distance of eating and shoping.

My first time at an extended stay hotel, and it reminded me of a cross between a std. room and an Embassy Suites. The "kitchen" table, supplies, and refrig. all surprised me. You could actually bring back food from a restaurant, or cook it there. Everything was clean and bright, and the bed comfortable enough. There were no frills, like fancy soaps or shampoos in the bathroom, but besides that the restroom was clean and efficient. The price couldn't be beat, so I consider this hotel to be a real value.

The worst hotel I've stayed, the room was very dirty, the bathroom floor with dirt and eventually the neighbors were very noisy early in the morning screaming in the aisles and on the patio outside. I do not recommend even to my enemy.

Not clean hotel at all. Rooms are really old bathroom not clean at all.

This hotel is conveniently located next to the Fair Oaks Mall. We've stayed here a couple of times simply because of its proximity to a sushi buffet located in the mall. Recent construction around the area of the hotel has placed a "strip mall" in walking distance, just across the street. The staff was very helpful, especially in helping resolve an issue which was entirely my fault. The hotel's one quirk is its difficulty to find, at least for us. It's surrounded by townhomes and appartments, and because of that, it blends in. The biggest issue is the signage used for the main entrance of the hotel. It's lit only on one side! From the intersection of Fair Lakes Parkway and Monument Drive, the sign can't be seen. It's to the right of the intersection, about a quarter of a block down. The entrance to the hotel is almost directly across the street from the strip mall I mentioned before. I hope these details will help others find the hotel.

All in all it is very convinient to stay in this hotel. except that it is not necessary to charge for wire less connection ( internet).

I was very pleased with this hotel. The price was very good for the quality of hotel. I was surprised to find it as clean & stocked with extra linen. Also; I was not expecting the kitchenette.

A real lack of attention to detail. I unpacked my clothes to find there were no hangers on the clothes rod (there was no closet, just a metal shelf with a bar to hang clothing). The front desk was helpful in locating me some hangers. There was a coffeepot, but no coffee or condiments, and no coffee cups. A second trip to the front desk resulted in coffee - but the clerk handed me some clear, plastic beverage cups. I asked again for coffee cups, even styrofoam -- but he told me that the plastic was "just fine for coffee." The room was clean, had an old television and rather old looking mattress, but no bed bugs. It was not the worst place to stay - right next to the Fair Oaks mall, which provided lots of food options - but not the most comfortable either.

Well the room was great for the price. What I was dissatisfied with was, they wanted $4.95 for use of the internet, and there was no ice machines, they stated there are ice trays in your refrig, I stated but they were not filled, so no ice. But for the price, it was a very, very nice room.

I had to clean my room upon arrival. It was just dirty in the kitchen and bathroom. I found hairs on the bed sheet too. The kitchen was unequipped and dirty with ants. The bathroom was the worst. There were hairs on the floor and in the tub. The worst thing was the toilet was not cleaned or else it was cleaned by a visually impaired person. There were fecal stains on the inside of the toilet lid and what looked like blood. All of the light switches were filthy. I used rubbing alcohol and cleaned the entire place. The young gentleman that checked me in was very courteous. When I checked out the man asked how everything was and I told him kind of OK but my room was dirty and I had to clean it. He said sorry and that was it. The location is great and convenient. There were ants in my room in the kitchen and bathroom. The rate was very good for the area. The wireless internet did work great. Advertised was a nearby gym to work out in but when I called the front desk they were unsure and just told me it was about 15 minutes away with no specifics (this was after he was asking another person). Unfortunately, I will not stay there again due to the filthiness.

Real basic units. No amenities. Had to go out and buy shampoo. Little things, like no disposable cups, no pad of paper and pen, 1 skinny piece of soap for 3 days, no fresh towels or sheets daily, no free breakfast in the morning. Will stay at Country Inn next time.

I would recommend this hotel if someone asked and cost was an issue. For the budget minded sor sure. I just stayed overnight. My only notable complainst are that there was no ready made ice machine (rooms have fridge with freezer). The other is that the bed had no protective pad on the mattress; so I slept on the top of the made bed with extra blankets to lay on and cover.

Check in was prompt & quick & checkin clerk was informative. Room was clean, neat, tidy & had small kitchenette & clean & fairly big bathroom . Worth every penny & Bed & linens were clean & had comfortable stay. Would stay next time I visit Fairfax area or would recommend all to stay.

I did not have high expectations for one of the cheapest hotels in Fairfax, VA. I was pleasantly surprised to find courteous service, fine accommodations and great night's sleep. In the future I will seek out Homestead Extended Stay chain for my over night lodgings.

Sketchy room, dirty tub, uneven flooring. The best part was when the "headboard" that is attached to the wall fell around 1am, scaring the life out of me. The amount of dust & dirt behind the headboard/wall hanging was disgusting. I could not wait to get out.
