We truly were impressed by this hotel. Chose it to be close to NYC as we did not want to stay in the city. It was convenient to use shuttle/subway transits, clean, updated, nice indoor pool, hot tub, great restaurant.... Only issue was with the keys being inactivated and having to return them; but we were compensated by a free breakfast for six: including eggs Benedict with filet mignon , fresh fruit, crab omlettes etc.... Would definitely reccommend and I'll be returning.

the staff was just wonderful. felt very welcome. the thing about this hotel i did not like was getting charged for everything. paid $9.95 for internet. there was an outage at the hotel. but without complaint they took it off the bill. like i said the hotel and the staff were great. the bed was kind of hard but overall had a pleasant stay. mike Jr the night manager was very helpful.

Very nice hotel and quick drive into NYC. The only thing is there is nothing to do around the hotel unless you drive into the city. I enjoyed it a lot and will definitely stay there for my next NYC trip. The pool was really nice too.

Good hotel. Great amenities and wonderful staff.

I don't think they were prepared for the large amount of guests. We reserved a room with 2 beds and had to take one with only 1 bed and a sleeper sofa. Considering our reservation were made 7 months prior, I find that unacceptable. They focused more on the group that came in for a conference that was being held during the day. The front desk people were very nice though.

I went with my nephew and brother to wrestlemania. Check in is at 3, at 330 they finally had a room ready. We walk in and it is a king size bed and no chaise lounger. We went back to explain that we needed two beds. They said they could not do that even though that was the preference we picked on the order. Come on rediculous what would have happened if there were more of us? Sleep on the floor? I will never stay there again. Management did nothing to help us.

I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights recently. Overall, I appreciated the location of the hotel (right off 17S) and the amenities that were available. I had high expectations with this being almost a four star hotel that it would be above and beyond any other hotel I've stayed in. My buddy and I were there for a major event in town. Right from the start, the front desk staff did not impress me. They were not at all accomodating. My reservations were made almost 3 months in advance so I found it very strange that the room and preferences we requested were unavailable. We were told that we got a great room because it had a balcony. Unfortunately, all of the balcony rooms oversee the highway which is not nearly as impressive as it was built up to be. Upon arriving at the room, we noticed our refrigerator did not work. Rob, the maintenance guy was great. He was prompt and replaced the fridge in a matter of minutes. He was the only person we dealt with hotel that provided four star service. Fortunately, the second night, the hotel was able to accomodate our requests, however they were only able to do so by lowering our room to a "non-deluxe" room (we paid for deluxe). I was also surprised that the hotel did not have free shuttle services to and from events. They did offer a service but it was $10 per person. In any event, with 20 hotels in a five mile radius of this hotel, I don't believe I would stay at this hotel again if I ever had reason to return to this area.

We had a wonderful time

The staff was friendly, the rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable. We had a great stay!

We loved everything in the hotel. But "no breakfast included" is a real issue. I wish it had breakfast with the reservation.

Great Location.

I paid for Executive level which they tried not give me. They tried to give be a substandard room with a Murphy bed and a conference table. The lady time I stayed here the a/c wasn't working in the room. Not a fan.

We travel by car to NYC two or three times a year to catch a Broadway show or sight-see. We've stayed at hotels in the city itself, but the price of parking a car a hotel in Manahttan is outrageous, especially when you're already paying a high hotel rate. The Renaissance Meadowlands is located within a short 15 minute bus ride to the NY Port Authority. (The NJ Transit line has a stop right out front of the hotel, buses run throughout the day and evening.) Once at the Port Authority, you simply walk out the doors and you're within a few minutes walk to al the best sights and shows that NYC has to offer. Overall our stays here are nice, the indoor pool is showing its age, but the hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. We usually book the "Breakfast" rate, and we've never been dissapointed, the food is nicely prepared and the dining area is inviting. The only complaint is that the doors/walls are a little 'thin'. On our most recent stay, the first evening was very quiet, but on the second evening a family with three children checked in and the kids were running up and down the halls constantly between 8-11pm. While no fault of the hotel itself, (the parent wouldn't correct the childrens behavior, it was shameful) I wished the soundproofing were better.

After two months of weekly lodging - Hotel staff continuously place me in inferrior rooms - on numerous occasions paid for premium club accomodations and given standard room - Last stay paid for premium club accomodations hotel staff placed me in a conferrence room with a floor bed next to the elevator with a statement that they were booked and sorry for the inconvenience -

The Renaissance is a very simple but elegant hotel. Lobby is stylish and roomy. We stayed in the Double-Queen room that had very comfortable beds. As typical, there is a small refrigerator, hairdryer, and coffee-maker (terrible coffee). My children enjoyed the indoor pool but parents beware as is there is no lifeguard and only 4 chairs around the pool. There is a steakhouse on the premise but we did not dine there. Unfortunately for us we had breakfast in the hotel and it was terrible. Overcooked bacon, flavorless, cold eggs and slow service. Better choice would be a diner just up the street that was offered both better quality and prices. The staff could not be better or more helpful. Always pleasant and quick to respond to requests.

We wanted to see New York City but it was too expensive for us to stay there. We ended up here by chance and we loved it! Very nice hotel, public transit just outside the hotel took us directly to NYC. Would definately stay again!

I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was very courteous and helpful, and the stay was thoroughly enjoyable.

First time at this hotel. Stayed during the July 4th weekend. Excellent service at the hotel. There is a nearby bus stop to NYC (goes to Port Authority Bus Station on 42nd st). Each one way ticket costs $4.25. Once at PABS, it is easy to walk to Times square and other nearby attractions or take subway to other parts of the city. Be careful at PABS for coming back though. Every day, we had to go to a different gate to catch our bus. Overall, very satisfied with the stay and location of the hotel.

I took my husband on an overnight trip to see a concert at the IZOD center. This hotel was PERFECT! The hotel decor is beautiful & very upscale. The bar & restaurant on-site were so convenient & delicious. The room, fitness center and common areas were clean and attractive. The staff was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic stay! The IZOD center is only 2 miles away.
