Comfortable

In the hotel we missed a bar. The capacity of the breakfast place was too small for all the guests. The breakfast was minimal. However, a Doral shopping center was closeby with a supermarket and restaurants.

arrived at hotel at 10 in morning and had to wait until 3 for check in. The pool area was really run down and the pool looked really dirty.

This hotel claims to be close to the airport. It is not. It is a $40 cab ride. The shuttle runs only once an hour when it runs. It can take an hour to get to the hotel.

Great stopping point before flying out of Miami. Liked the location--however the bathroom was not very clean!

Wished the airport shuttle started earlier for those with early flights.

Front desk was very helpful. Good breakfast before van ride to airport. Pool was ok, but could have been better.

People in reception where respectful but not business friendly. A big 5 to the shuttle driver, Porfirio; who was very friendly and kind enough to wait for me at the airport, after the receptionist had told me I was going to wait an hour for the shuttle to the hotel.

I really enjoyed the comfort and the excellent customer service!!!!!!!! The shuttle drivers were very helpful and friendly. The Receptionists and Managers were always joyful and accommodating! The hotel was much better then I was expecting for that price!

Breakfast needs to be improved

The hotel needs to substantially remodel their rooms, even their shuttle needs to be replaced. There was a problem between Hotels.com and Baymont; Baymont had to take time to find our reservation at Hotels.com. Despite the approximately $30 savings, I should have spent the extra money and stayed at a different hotel.

Breakfast is a big problem, very limited seating for the number of guests. Don't rely on wake up calls as You are likely to miss early flight. Not enough drawers or hanging space if you plan to stay longer than a couple days. Staff very pleasant, obliging and friendly. Breakfast time should be extended till 10 am. Would definitely go back , enjoyed free WiFi in the room and ample free parking space.

The staff was not polite.

I scored a room here cheaply & I still paid too much. After reading other reviews, it seems that most of us who get a super cheap rate also get the same room. That would be room 109. It’s the handicapped room next to the laundry room to which you get to hear CONSTANT chatter from employees socializing throughout the night/morning. You will also be privy to having a maids cart right outside your door at any given time. The other reviews are correct about the smell. It’s a lovely mildew smell, which I assume is coming from the 3 foot wide water stain on the carpet, as well as many other stains. Also on the carpet is toothpaste, still wet from the previous guest as I unfortunately found out whilst walking barefoot. The smell was so bad I had to go to the grocery store across the street to buy some Lysol. Also be prepared to have the shower/toilet area to be uncomfortably wet after a shower. There is no tub to “catch” the water. It’s just one open room & the water gets everywhere. Also, there was a lot of hair all over the floor (not from your head) & the actual shower area completely dirty. Luckily, I had water shoes so I showered with those on. In regards to small details that this hotel looks over, my towels had lipstick on them, the wall lights had burn marks on the shades, horrible patchwork on the walls from whatever damage was done there, the list goes on. I highly suggest you stay elsewhere because the cheap rate you get is most certainly NOT worth it.

uncomfortable beds, room smelled like an old cottage

The hotel was clean and tidy looking however we were not keen on the bathroom which seems to be prepared for an elderly or disable person. We also smelled a not so welcoming odour as we entered the room. But it was late and we were tired and a bit hungry so we didnt bother. What was most displeasing about our stay was that as a visitor to the country not being familiar with the location we were late getting back from our shopping and asked the front-desk for a bit more time to finish pack our suite cases she agreed but after getting the ok, we were called back a bit later and told that we will be charged for half day. If that was the case we should have been told this straight up front. Thanks a lot Baymont!

I love the location, is close to the malls but also is centered in Doral city. Rooms are good if you do not need luxury, people is very kind, is a good place to stay, what I did not like were the pillows, in my particular case I need softer pillows (feather), but overall is a good place to stay.

I was a little disappointed with how far it was from the airport and South Beach. The room was nice and clean and the front desk attendant.

I have been staying at the Baymont Inn in Doral, FL twice a year, every year for the last five but will consider staying with another chain in the future. This particular hotel refuses to replace their antiquated CRT-like TVs with modern (and relatively inexpensive) flat screen TVs. Reception is bad, no HD options, last stay remote did not even work. It's a joke. I have made this suggestion on numerous occasions but the management is not listening. Join the 21st century, Baymont!

The room smelled like it was musty or moldy. The room was uncomfortable. The pool was dirty. The front desk staff was rude and uninviting. I'll never stay here again. I was very disappointed.

I suppose I got the lousy room since I booked through hotels.com. I was on the first floor, near the lobby, next door to the hotel's commercial laundry room, with a housekeeping cart parked outside my room at all times, in a handicap room. The room was smelly and moldy (I'm allergic to mold so this was a huge problem). The shower/handicap bathroom was a mess...shower sprayed everywhere and I slipped repeatedly on bathroom floor, but was lucky not to have fallen. When I mentioned this to the front desk, I got a shoulder shrug! If this is what happens to guests who book through hotels.com, then I won't bother with it again. Because in this case, the "savings" really weren't worth it. Stay away from this Baymont suites hotel! Yuck!

Very good relation price/service and quality. The personel is realy kind.

Has wi fi that's great for my kids

stay was ok untill i complain toilet not flushing and they drop a plunger in my hands and told me to call front desk to collect it when i am done. Good thing I knew how to use it. P.s. carpet a little dirty too

Overall good hotel, just the bathroom was a bit small and you can't fully close curtains to avoid early sun going into your room.

The room was fresh smelling, clean and home away from home. Couldn't ask for a better price too. I have stayed at many hotels in Miami but never in Doral. I was very pleased with how the Baymont compared to the surrounding rip-offs. Great!

I was not happy with the cleaningness of the Hotel. The floors were filthy.The door was spattered with something. The main lobby was very dirty. Even the furniture was full of stains. The bedding was clean. The desk people were very nice & helpful. Some of the workers could not understand english. They really need to do some deep cleaning & upgrading of the facility. They back door was not locked for security.

It's close to almost everything, staff very friendly and rooms very good and clean.

Aside from the clean and comfortable room and general premises, I was particularly pleased with the helpfulness of the staff, as it related to some matters that I had to get dealt with while staying at the hotel. Although my stay was short, the manner in which my affairs were handled was very much appreciated. I also greatly appreciated the on-time pick up for the airport transfer and the relatively close proximity to the airport. These all made my stay a generally pleasant one.

When I called to ask the hotel shuttle pickup point, communication was difficult because of language problems--the people I talked to had inadequate English proficiency. After several calls, holds, dropped calls, no answers, etc., I finally got to talk to a hotel night manager who spoke English well and was courteous and helpful. Then I had a long wait and after seeing numerous other named shuttles go past several times I thought I had missed my shuttle. Again I called and was told the shuttle had some problem and was given a new pickup time, which came and went. Again I called and was given still another, later, pickup time. I had originally been instructed to catch the shuttle with "Best Western" logos in addition the hotel I had booked. Because it was night and the lighting was poor I began flagging down "Best Western" whenever I saw their logo. This was difficult and dangerous because of the traffic confusion from bad pickup spot design. Shuttles were often several rows deep at times. Of the ones I was able to flag I was informed would be a different shuttle, not theirs. Finally, after several hours of waiting, making more calls, walking into traffic and straining to read shuttle logos in the poor lighting I got the correct shuttle. I am strongly inclined to make reservations for the airport hotel in the airport itself in the future. The savings I realized by selecting an "off campus" hotel was completely offset by the delay and frustration getting my correct shuttle.

After waiting a half hour for the van to pick us up at the airport, we took the 20 minute drive to the "airport hotel". As we drove past so many other competitors, we began to question how this place could be advertised as a hotel close to the airport. We had to wait a long time to get staff to appear at the desk to check us in - they were in the back room doing god knows what. Best news when we checked in - no bed bugs - we checked. There was a coffee machine with no coffee packets. That night we heard quite a bit of noise in the neighborhood as we tried to get to sleep. In the morning, the breakfast was pitiful. Once again, no coffee - they had a thermos carafe for coffee, but it had been drained (we were there at 8am). This was not one of our better selections and we would not ever stay here again.

The hotel itself was a good hotel for a one night say. What i was extremely disappointed about was the fact that we had to do an early checkout, and when we went to check out the lady at the front desk told us that there was a $50 charge for checking out early. We were outraged by this! We ended up leaving anyway and calling the next day to check out.

The facilities for the money that you are charged are excellent and can be compared to any other hotel of comparable value or better. It is close enough to many amenities - shopping malls, medical centres, attractions - which is very cost effective, especially when one has to pay transportation costs. All of these are really a stone's throw away. The service offered at the hotel was first class. There is a marked improvement over our stay three years ago. The staff was very co-operative and willinging to be of assistance although at times a little unsure about what facilities existed and how to get there. It there is one area that needs to be addressed, it would be that. Overall we had a very good stay and would recommend this hotel to any of our friends looking for a nice hotel in a nice area close enough to many different facilities and in addition not posing any problem to access those further afield. Thanks for a job well done.
