Oakes Hotel Overlooking the Falls - شلالات نياجرا

I wish I tried the breakfast at the hotel, since having breakfast outside was a BIG mistake. Maybe next time. Otherwise we LOVED the full view of the falls from our room.

Very nice hotel and friendly staff, clean and well maintained. Anyone staying here I would recommend spending extra to get falls view rooms above 7th floor, the view is amazing and the higher the better, can view the whole lighting from room and also sunrise over the falls is amazing.

We plan to book again with this hotel next year. It was wonderful time we spent in Niagra falls especially our tour to falls on the lake and shopping in it. However I recommend to hotel management to change corridors carpet to refeclt the room emerge.

The shower was a bit on the small side and any time anyone around us was running the water, it was loud, but overall it was a great hotel. It was close to everything and very clean.

We hadn't slept all night and arrived quite early in the morning. They kindly stowed our bags while we walked around to kill a little bit of time ans when we couldn't keep our eyes open anymore, the lovely lady at the front desk gave us a room in advance of check in time. We had a gorgeous view of both the US and Canadian Falls from our 17th story room with a sitting area and a jacuzzi. The bed was comfortable and it was so relaxing to come back to a nice soak in the tub after walking up and down the river walkway. This hotel made our stay at Niagara falls something that we will always cherish!

We had a fine stay at the Oakes Hotel. There was a problem with our original room and they upgraded us to a new room, no questions asked. We also believe they took care of the original problem.

We enjoyed the hotel my only issue was 68.00 for parking I thought that was tottaly unsolicited untill departure time Al

They do not tell you that they are going to charge you through the roof per night for parking! No fridges,pay for wi-fi which sucked.. When you ask the help desk for anything they acted like it was a bother to help.We had 3 people in our room yet they would only leave 2 towels.The first room we had,the toilet wouldnt flush,the shower wouldnt drain,the beds had dips in the center.We complained,for an extra fee we could upgrade..We had no choice! That room was one of the newer ones..The chair was ripped in the center.The towels had blue stains on them.Every time we asked to talk to a manager..He/She was always unavailable.They wouldnt leave plastic cups after we had used the others,No liners in the ice buckets.I could go on and on.I've tried to locate a corporate number..but of course,I cant find one.Save your money..Even the cheap places had free wi-fi and parking for their guests.The only thing good about the place was the view from the 14th floor.

This hotel offers rooms with the best view of the horse-shoe and Amercian falls. Breathtaking!

Location was great. Hotel was clean but beds were uncomfortable.

The view from our 10th floor room was spectacular! The cost was more for this view, we also paid for parking. We only stayed there one night because of this and went to a less expensive hotel, without a fallsview, but parking included for the rest of our stay. It was worth the one day/night of the unbelieveable view of the falls. My husband was disappointed with the gym hours and wasn't able to do a workout before breakfast.

The view is amazing from the tenth floor but the TV was broke, any dark scenes just were black so my son and I basically listened to the Harry Potter movie. Also the shower was unbearable. I could not make the water come out more gentle. The sheets were stained and the coffee maker was very dirty inside. So if you bring blankets and shower at home the view is great.

Clean, spacious, fairly priced and close to everything. Oh yea, and a view to die for. Could've stared at the falls all day & night. You will not be dissapointed.

Wonderful location. Had a direct Falls view. The hotel is older so did have that old feel. I enjoyed it but my husband would have appreciated a little more updating of furniture and just over all appearance. Still a good comfortable place to stay

The young man and woman at the front desk were very helpful and kind.The hotel however, needs new matresses and bedding. That being said the view of the falls was great from our 7th floor window.You can easily walk down to the falls but it is a little walk to the Maid of the Mist. The hotel offered a meal deal for 69.00 plus tax. Dinner for two and transportation to Remingtons . The meal was DELICIOUS and the portion was healthy. Desert and drinks were not included. The 69.00 also included a hot breakfast at the adjoining Allpebees. Overall it was a good experience.

We had a great view of Niagara Fall from the room. Amazing! Kids would rather stay and admire the fall from the room then head outside in the cold. Room is very clean and the bed comfortable. But they could use some update for their bathroom. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. They do charge 15 CAD for parking. But it's convenience and great location!

We were placed in the "annex" of the hotel. This is no better than a motel. We might as well have stayed in a local motel - it was that bad.

Hotel made mistake in procesing booking from Hotels.com gave us double room for 3 adults on level 5 instead of higher level which we paid for. Despite showing reception my Hotels.com invoice they refused until they eventally contacted Hotels.com and admitted their mistake - by this time all th double rooms had gone !! (Easter Weekend)

We were promised view of the falls side and we were not provided what we were promised. They told us that their is always a problem with online booking and they said all the other rooms with good view of the falls were full. Not satisfied with the customer service

it totaly bad . dirty, enviroment that not good . next room too noisy when having baby crying all night long . when next room shower , it sound noisy event toilet flushing noisy too

Not one of the best stays, additional charges for internet and overnight parking. Service is very lapse, had to wait at an empty reception desk for 5 min several times. Rooms are clean but the Hotel has seen better days compared to the local competition.

We really enjoyed our stay. My husband was in a recent accident and is not very mobil right now so our room overlooking the falls was perfect for him. We had a wonderful view of the lightshow every night. We were close to the attractions and had many good restaurants close by. The highlight was taking a tour which we set up in the hotel lobbey. It was the highlight of our trip and included wine tasting, shopping, a visit to a chocolate factory and views of the canals and ships passing through. Our guide was informative and fun. This was one of the nicest trips we have had in a long time. I would reccomend it to anyone.

great location for everything and close to casino

The king size bed was perfect , the view of the falls was great but wish we a couple floors higher. We were on the 5th floor. The spa tub was nice could use more jets!! And just steps, like right outside is my favorite place... the casino!

Hotel room had cracked ceilings, the toilet didn't work, called maintenance 3 times to fix, never showed. What a joke.

We couldn't have asked for a better view from our hotel room. For the best views, you probably need to stay at least 7 or 8 floors up, and the falls view rooms are just incredible. We had a very clean room, and the hotel was in a great location. It didn't look like to many other hotels would have as nice as a view as we did. Would definitely stay there again.

I really like Oakes hotel but this time when I went there was a 15$/day parking charge which I did not notice when I booked with Hotel.com so I am not sure who's fault Other than that, it is a nice hotel overlooking the falls and in a very good location

My husband and I chose The Oakes because of thier claim to have the best view of the falls..and they did not disappoint. We had a corner room on the 13th floor and the view was amazing. They are not the fanciest hotel on the block but it met our expectations (view & jacuzzi tub). It was reasonably priced for the location and the room we had. I probably wouldn't recommend staying here if you do not have an an upper level room with a view, but I would probably say that about staying anywhere in Niagara Falls. Being that it is the main attraction and the reason for our visit. If you are frequent visitor to the area this may not be as important to you. I only say this because if your looking to have more on-site amenities this is not the hotel. The fitness center is outdated and the indoor pool is rather small. It does have an arcade and has access to the Applebee's next door (we did not dine there) . However, if you are there to relax and take in the falls then I would give The Oakes a try. We stayed in one of the King Bed rooms with jacuzzi tub. The room was spacious, the layout of our room was interesting, perhaps because we were in a corner. It had a separate seating area with a sofabed, TV and the closet. Which was down a small hall way and around a corner. It came with standar amenities- coffee maker, hair dryer, but no refridgerator. The's TV's are older models (not flat screens) but we didn't watch much TV. The room was clean. There are plenty of places within walking distance of the Oakes to eat and the Falls are also a short walk away. The "elevator" to the falls, which is just outside of the hotel, was not operating during our visit (off season) . That would have provided a more direct route to the falls, but at a fee (not sure how much) and we didn't mind the walk. The weather was in the high 70's (low 80'sF) which was odd for that time of year so I don't know that we would have been as inclined to walking around as much, if the it had been colder or raining

Room was very nice and view was amazing. Price was at least 25% cheaper for comparable Room. The only glitch was asked about wifi and They gave me login & password but could Not get a signal. But overall excellent choice To stay

The view from my room on the 8th floor could not have been better. The panorama of Horseshoe Falls and the American Falls was magnificent! There were some rips in the chairs making the furniture seem a bit shabby, but it was very clean. I had a room with a jacuzzi tub and it too was wonderful. I would have given this hotel a 5 star rating had it not been for the indifference of front desk staff, and this was mainly just one person. When I checked in, I was kept waiting at the desk while the person on duty berated a customer complaining on the phone. I asked for assistance in booking an excursion of some type and was told to go to the tourist kiosk several blocks away (which was closed). I would definately stay here again.
