Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites San Diego-Escondido - إيسكونديدو

Good location, resturants and gas stations available, we were looking for a place to stay on our way back from Southern California. Everything we needed was available to us,

It was a 1 night trip to pick-up our daughter. We stayed at the hotel a very minimal time, but we enjoyed it for the short trip it was.

Very clean roooms, friendly and accommodating staff. Will definitely stay here again!

We were in town for an event at the Performing Arts Center. We were looking for a place close by, but still nice. There are not a lot of options, but this was one of the better ones! It is only about a mile from the Arts Center. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast was great! I would stay here again. Keep in mind that the double bed rooms are on the small size (king rooms have more floor space), so if you have more than 2 people staying in a room or you need more space, then upgrade to a suite. The suites are fantastic! They have a sitting room, and a kitchenette. Regular rooms do not have a fridge, only a drinks "cooler" that doesn't get cold enough to store food safely.

Overall, it was a pleasant stay--only minor complaints; bathroom drain emitted a foul odor and one evening at 10 pm some rowdy guests were talking/shouting/laughing outside our room. Good breakfast and well stocked, free coffee 24/7. We stay at this hotel approximately 10 days a year when we visit family.

Everything was great except that it's a little to close to the highway and therefore somewhat noisy. would stay there again.

The rooms/service was great. No issues. I'm sure they aren't perfect but our stay was great. The rooms were clean. Will stay again for sure

I have stayed at this hotel twice and have been very happy with it! The staff is probably the friendliest and most helpful I've ever encountered. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was good. What I especially appreciated during both stays was how quiet the hotel was! That is such an important factor for me. I would highly recommend this hotel. Really nice.

1 night stay between legoland & safari park. Hotel pleasant & clean. Good breakfast with variety and volume of food! Booked king sized room for 2 adults 1 child assuming sofa bed or rollaway bed would be provided. On arrival discovered only king bed and were told extra beds could not be had. We had to move to 2 queen bed room and spent a rather cramped night. Good variety of places to eat close by, and opposite retail park. 20 minute drive to safari park so overall did the job

This hotel was very comfortable and a good value. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They gave excellent directions to destinations as well as dinner recommendations. Also, our room was spacious and (2 room king suite) and was incredibly well maintained. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Location-The Holiday Inn is located amongst plenty of shopping and restaurants. It's one of the closest locations to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, about 15 to 20 mins away Amenities-breakfast daily is a big plus, lots to choose from. Beverage cooler in room that is not a fridge so we put ice in the ice bucket to keep baby's milk cold. Microwave located in the lobby next to a pancake maker! Coffee/tea maker in room. Cleanliness- appeared clean but walking on the carpeted floor in our room made our socks black so I recommend that they should shampoo the carpet more often

Came down on business but stayed here to visit Stone Brewery--an $8 cab ride. The breakfast wasn't bad--biscuits and gravy, sausages, cheese omlettes, bananas, yogurt, the usual pastries/muffins/bagels/english muffins and usual cereals.

When I enter the room I was just expecting a regular room but to my surprise I got a suite. The room is really nice and clean except for the bath tub which needs a little bit more cleaning. That room that I stayed in is like an apartment. I recommend this place if you are looking a place to stay in Escondido. The hotel is close to everything.

It was comfortable and I would stay there again

Wonderful place to stay!! Great friendly staff!!! Very clean!!! Great value!!!

The two double beds took up most of the space in the room and there's hardly any room for us to move around. Small bathroom with no counter space. At least the room was clean and A/C was cold. Decided not to swim because swimming pool is awkwardly situated between parking lot and the resting area where people can eat their food and look at the pool -just weird. Complementary breakfast was good and plentiful. The breakfast room was neat and clean. The hotel is conveniently close to shopping center with many restaurants around. I feel this hotel is good for one traveler there's not enough space for family with kids.

I have stayed here three or four times. The rooms are too small. Breakfast is just "OK". I won't be back at this hotel.

Nice hotel, in a weird parking lot behind an In n Out and gas station. Service was good, room was nice. Elevator is 'intimate', rooms are well kept, nice, and spacious.

Front desk help friendly and efficient. Was given water and snack bag at check in. Full breakfast was delicious, more choices than other hotels. Close to freeway exit but no freeway noise. Room was clean and comfortable, not extra large but enough room for our needs. Would not hesitate to book again.

H. I. Ex. are newer, in good shape, and cleaner. We love the free breakfast, the convenience of the locations to the things we do in the area, how they provide toiletries if needed, and that they're within our minimal budget range! Great staff, but there was some miscommunication. #1 Booked a King room that said sleeps 4. We assumed there'd be a murphy bed/pull out couch, but there wasn’t. Our kids slept on the floor. This also meant only 2 towels and 1 sm. bottle of shampoo. I don't like to have to call for things. #2. Sheets are only changed if a specified sign is hung on the door. (Great way to conserve our resources!) 1/2 way through our stay, I put out the sign. It was mistaken for a "Do not disturb" sign and our room didn't get cleaned at all! The front desk had no idea what sign I was talking about and that the cleaning staff was at a Co. Picnic-is why the room was probably skipped! We were at the beach the day before and the room was sandy, towels/sheets dirty, no TP, etc. I got her to call someone while we were out for the evening. We got back late and were pleased to see it had been cleaned...except for the TP! We had to use the tissues the rest of the night and morn, then let the front desk know, AGAIN, at breakfast. I liked how everyone remained nice throughout all our "issues". There was complimentary water and a snack in the lobby most afternoons. The room was comfortable and spacious. There were good restaurants in the same parking lot too.

The hotel was nice for our short stay in the area. We came to California for a wedding. We had a king suite. The only thing we did not like about the room was that the sofa bed was not very comfortable-seemed very dated. Also there was no door between our sleeping room and the sitting room which was a little akward for us and our father in law; who slept on the sofa couch. We were told that the property was rennovated, but it must have been a while ago. On the positive, it was clean and the staff was nice. They offer a complimentary breakfast with many options. There are not many hotels in the Escondido area so this was probably our best choice.

overall good experience. bathtub would overfill, needs some Drano. AC's are loud & you can't put on a thermostat. it has to be on the whole time or off. room was clean but has a muggy feeling.

Everything was good nothing wrong with the room only thing was that the cover for the a/c and heater came off just by touching it, but other then that every thing was good.

I stayed at this hotel a couple years ago and again very recently, both times on business. The "Holiday Inn Express" hotels are a very reliable and consistent chain. There is always a convenient breakfast that is just one notch above continental, but nothing gourmet. Very adequate. The hotel was in good shape and was very conveniently located near all types of sit down restaurants as well as fast food, including an In n Out right next door. It is also very close to every kind of store like Starbucks, Target, and much more. Conveniently located near a freeway exit, but I didn't hear the traffic. The same front desk clerk helped me both times and she seemed to go out of her way to make conversation and be pleasant, asked me if I had been there before, etc. For a Holiday Inn Express, it was just as to be expected and I don't have any complaints at all.

The bed was comfortable and soft compared to most other hotels. The room was clean. The location is right at the freeway offramp, but noise wasn't an issue. Window mounted A/C worked fine for our stay. Fairly close to the San Diego Safari Park. A good room for the price.

I thought the hotel was a perfect place to stay for our visit to the stone brewing company. I felt the hotel was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. There are places to eat all around the hotel location.

Great hotel for the price off of Hwy 30 minutes North of San Diego and 30 minutes East of Legoland.

It was a pleasant stay. The hotel and our room were spotless. The room had double beds that were comfortable. The room could be a little larger. The complimentary breakfast was great. The pool and spa were nice to return to. We would definitely return.

Convenient location, but nothing else too exciting here. I've stayed in a few HIE's that were very nice, but this one was more like a Super 8. Big rooms and breakfast was good, but facilities were dated and tired.
