For the price, its a bit pricey, but given the excellent service, it would complain. One of the issue that I have is that the windows are too small and you can hardly have any view from the hotel. Other than that its great hotel, probably the best around the area

an absolute delight! We are already talking about when we might go back.

If you make it to this little corner of heaven, treat yourself to a stay in one of the most historically significant hotels in Canada. Coming to Banff and not staying at the Fairmont is truly cheating yourself from an amazing experience in a grand hotel. Sure, some of the rooms are rather tight, but they are spotlessly clean and well appointed. Besides, you're there for the view!! Make sure you get a room at the back of the hotel which has a picture perfect view of the mountains. Finally, the service here is unparalleled. We splurged on the Gold level room and the quality of service was well worth it. Right from the time of check-in we were treated extremely well - and this with a pre-schooler in tow! No request was deemed too difficult, and we were always well attended to. This is a lovely old hotel and is very well run; treat yourself to an experience travelers from all over the world have experienced for over 100 years.

This was a nice, clean hotel with high quality service, with a wide variety of services.

We had forgoten our luggage on checkout. They personally sent a young man to deliver our bags to us. 8 hour round trip. No charge to us. Now that's above and beyond!!!

we were very disappointed,that when we arrived at the hotel at 3;45pm the staff told us our room was not ready and would not commit to it being ready for the 4pm check in time.when we finally found our room,because directions were very unclear,we were very disappointed to see a second rate room for the kingsly ransom of 509.00,I called to enquire as to a possible mistake of rooms and was assured that this was a deluxe room,one of the biggest. we have two small children and about the time theywere to be put to bed,this god awful banging started-extremely loud music.We called to the front desk at 10;30 pm,at our wits end,we were told things would be quiet at 11pm, that we were in the same wing as a wedding,don't you think someone should have let us know,no,at 12 it finally got quiet enough to go to sleep,the next morning we couldn't wait to check out.I purchased two 100.00 gift certificates and when I tried to redeem them was told that they were 3rd party and that the room had ben paid for by expedia,so they wouldn't accept them,now,isn't that a kick in the pants....after all that, in order to redeem our certificates WE HAVE TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN!!!!!! How do you think our stay was

Best vacation ever with my kids! Would highly recommend our itinerary. The falls, iceland parkway, jasper, lake louise. Will return.Probably the most beautiful scenery that one will ever see. Great little town. So much to see.

The only complaint I have about our stay was the bed. We requested a king size bed and got a queen. Also they put us on the newly renovated floor and the bed was tacoed (sagged badly in the middle). Being on the newly renovated floor you would think the bed would have been new too. Other then that we enjoyed our stay and will be going back. It is a beautiful hotel.

reception staff excellent- lounge staff impersonal and more interested in washing glasses and talking between themselves than paying attention to customers

5 STAR PRICES WITH 2 STAR SERVICE. NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN.. NEVER!

The only down side to the weekend stay was the in-room dining. We ordered in a meal on a Saturday night and for the amount that was paid the food was quite disappointing. Would recommend trying one of the many great restaurants rather than order in.

We recently stayed at the Fairmount Banff Springs. It was an amazing experience. The hotel and location were absolutely beautiful. I can't say enough. I have nothing negative to say. Awesome!!

Great Hotrl, Great Service. Only problem Rooms are extremely small. Specially the bathroom. You could barely sit on the toilet nad close the door. The rest was OK as expected.

I was a little worried about this reservation when I made it because I saw some questionable reviews, but it was stunning and beautiful! It was just the romantic weekend we were looking for. The restaraunts are fantastic. I thought the italian restaraunt was delicious and classy. Breakfast at the grill was god but WAY to much money, could have had the same thing at a golden corral however the views were phenomenal and I guess thats what we were paying for. The hot spring pool was very wonderful. We loved walking and exploring the hotel.

As a family of four we felt we were treated excellent at all times during our stay and our girls thought it was amazing to have the chance to sleep in a beautiful castle. We will for sure stay here again when we come to visit Banff!

The Fairmont Banff Springs has the most amazing service! There's not one thing that we could complain about, other than we couldn't stay longer!! The staff were amazing! The bed was SO comfortable! The food was delicious! The hotel was super clean and the decoration was fabulous! We really can't say enough great things about this place!!We will definetly go back!!

Lawrence in reception gets special praise from us. He went above and beyond to make sure my guests on this trip were in a wonderful room.

The staff made my visit memorable. They "bent over backwards" to make my stay comfortable and to assist me with any difficulties. As I have a physical impairment which affects my walking, they made sure I was in the main hotel and not the annex which I appreciated very much. They went to my room to retrieve a wedding gift I had left behind and really, I cannot say enough good things regarding the staff. They made my stay very pleasurable. My room was very clean, quiet and comfortable and the bed was beyond comfortable and I really had a hard time leaving it to enjoy the many amenities offered by the hotel. Of course, one cannot rave enough about the location, surrounded by mountains, so whichever way you look, the view is so beautiful. Everything about this hotel is outstanding and the staff treats you as a true guest and makes sure your visit is truly a rich and complete experience. Thank you Fairmont Banff Springs.

The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel was an absolute joy! We have stayed at some very upscale resorts and the Fairmont Banff Springs is my absolute favorite. Combine the beautiful Banff National Park with the Fairmont Hotel and you can't help but fall in love with all of it. The restaurants were great and the outdoor seating area overlooking the river and mountains was breathtaking. Can't wait to go back. Definately a destination not to be missed!

Fabulous

The hotel was nice but the company that did the renovations on the hotel could have done a much nicer job.

They really need to renovate their inside. This hotel looks really classic and nice outside, but their interior is at least 30 years old or something. For the price I was paying, I'll go elsewhere next time.

Rooms are very small. We were expecting a room size of 250 sq ft. but the rooms allotted to us were hardly about 150 sq. ft. A big let down.

the rooms are extra small and they charge for everything. Staff is not very friendly.

The bed was terrible. I had a horrible sleep. Bathroom was dirty.

We had a wonderful stay at the Banff Springs. The staff were most courteous and very helpful. Our room was superb with a wonderful view. It was 5* service all the way. The facilities are great. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at the Fairmont and will definitely return, however the bed was on the soft side for my liking.

Had to wash out the bathtub before using. Went to the pub for dinner but left because the table was so dirty and no-one came promptly to clean. Gorgeous scenery and lovely setting but disappointed in general. Room very small and hot even though window opened and heating turned down.

It is very good except the room is on the second floor and you can hear verything that is going down below i.e. party music and crowd.
