The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver - فانكوفر

Location was good and hotel was a bit oldish but it was okay. Main problem for my family was housekeeping. They didn't bother to clean the toilet just simply change the towel that was it. And the cups in the room for the drinks were not properly cleaned. Service staff in the reception was really friendly but housekeeping was so off.

I found the room very comfortable and nice.the only downside was the pool area which had unidentified things at the bottom...they should clean their pool.the food was amazing and room service was excellent!

I had a great experience when I stayed in Fairmont Vancouver. My husband & I celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was excellent choice of hotel because the front desk staff was so friendly, she gave us few coupons( restaurant & spa) & upgrade our room. Surprisingly, when we came back to hotel after dinner the hotel prepared congraturation card,strawberry fondue set & 2 bottle of Evian water. Thank you Fairmont! Definetely, we will go the Fairmont hotel.

The service is great, as expected of the Fairmont, but the rooms are pretty old. They carpet in particular is pretty shoddy, rooms just seem old. Chipping paint around floor boards etc. For the price I expect a little more, but oh well.

First time at Hotel and would go back any time

The Hotel was a little older than I remember. Our room was clean and nice but you could tell it was old. The bathroom shower head and fixtures were old.

Our stay was great and the service have exceptional. The hotel is historic and beautiful and is situated in the best part of the city.

The only gripe I have about the Fairmont Vancouver is the fact that they (along with a lot of hotels now) charge for WiFi access. $14/day! I don't get this...I pay $200/night to stay here, and they'll include a shower cap and shoe polish (who actually uses that stuff?), but not WiFi?!? I can go down to Tim Horton's or Cactus Club and get FREE WiFi, even if I don't buy anything! Another money grab. C'mon guys!

A must see if your heading down for a weekend. Nice pool, nice bar, nice location. Friendly staff and knowledgeable of the surrounding area.

Great location lovely hotel generally helpful staff but no WiFi unforgivable!

I have stayed in some nice hotels in Vancouver BC but Fairmont Vancouver is definitely my favorite. Comfortable rooms, kind desk clerks, concierges that are so helpful. Stay here. It's so worth it.

I loved the service and the bed was the most comfortable I've slept in... other guests were friendly as well.

Excellent hotel! First time that we had ever stayed at a Fairmont Hotel and let me tell you, it will not be the last. It was decorated so beautifully for the holidays. The staff bent over backwards for us. The room was comfortable and spacious, my only complaint is that the bed was a little hard for my liking. Just a hop, skip and a jump away from trendy Robson Street and all the great shopping. Loved my stay!

The Fairmont Hotel was the center of our two day. Claudia was very impressed how the hotel was so central to all the attractions we went to. English Bay, BC Place Stadium, Lynn Canyon, Stanley Park, and Granville Island. The room was very clean and very comfortable. Our window was covered in leu of renos to the stonework and gargoyles. I am a huge fan of gargoyles so if they'd need attention I have no reservations with the windows being covered... The staff at the hotel were very friendly and very professional. The valet service raised the bar to which all other valet services is gauged by. Our stay at the hotel ended with a visit to the hot tub and the saltwater swimming pool,. The hotel received huge points for the saltwater pool. We will be back...

Extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was available with answers to any request, every convenience provided. The location could not be more central than this and the food in their restaurant was second to none! My hsband and I will be back many a time to come!

Personal was not really helpful by bookings, no nice atmosphere, construction situation & the window was covered by a blind plastic wall, no view and bad air, not possible to get fresh air, very slow Wifi and extra charge (we had 2 stars hotel with free Wifi!)

Having stayed at the other Fairmont in Vancouver and throughout Canada, this one need a little updating if they expect a return for the price they charge.

Fairmount goes the extra mile to make your stay special!

First, our room was not ready when we arrived at the published check-in time. We were told it would be ready in 45 minutes, and were offered an upgrade... but at an additional cost. If rooms are not ready in a hotel like this, the extra fee should be waived. We found an advertisement from another Fairmount Hotel that said free parking for electric cars. This was confirmed by the check-in clerk, but the check-out clerk said it was "only for hybrids" and charged us $40 plus valet fees (even though the valets moved our car without giving us an option)! We had to ask for the manager, who removed the parking charge. No apologies were offered by the clerk. She also tried to charge us for a Coors Light (yuk) from the mini-bar. As she agreed to remove the charge, she bluntly stated "you're not supposed to put anything in the fridge; there's a sign, people don't read it." In contrast, the valets and concierge clerks were very nice and helpful. We booked a double room for 4 adults but there were not enough towels or robes. They did bring them up promptly after we called. TV reception was awful. No fan in bathroom. The room smelled weird (not sure why) but was comfortable and quiet. Nice Keurig coffeemaker but only 3 coffee servings provided. WiFi was not used due to exorbitant fee. Electric car charging is a great amenity, but they need to train their staff in their policies and just on some basic politeness and customer service skills, especially for a hotel at this price point.

Beautiful hotel. Stayed on the 12th floor on an 80+ degree day... No air conditioning or it didnt work. Staff was friendly.

Our stay at the fairmont was awesome! I would definately stay there again. My only concern was with the washroom (lack of a fan made the room heat up quickly), as well the hot water was not a continuous flow burning at times. Other than these minor little details the hotel was great and the staff was extremely helpful and polite :)!!!

The service in our hotel was superb. The front desk personnel, as well as the Gold Floor personnel, was extremely efficient, helpful and professional. However, the cleanliness of our suite was another matter. We were disappointed, shocked, when we found a used condom on the bathroom floor of our suite. Additionally, mirrors were not cleaned thoroughly and floors and upholstered furniture were left with crumbs and other debris on them.

The Fairmont did not live up to its reputation or what I expect form this price bracket. The toilet noises etc from the adjoining rooms are barely muffled, the cleaning staff are loud when in adjoining rooms early in the am...ie before 7. Hot buffet food was not hot and the continental breakfast was sub par in almost every respect.

It was a great stay; all things the hotel did and could control exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the prompt car valet service and the afternoon high tea was very good. Mavis and Bo (Beau?) are very distinctive and pleasant canine permanent guests. We had one difficulty: the first night a loud guest on the 12 floor woke everybody at 2-3 am on July 29th. Otherwise it was a superb stay.

As with all downtown cores, they are noisy and busy, often with business of an undesirable nature. Sirens aplenty, traffic noise, and general population congestion. Some wouldn't mind at all, some will. Try for floors higher than the 8th. Stay was good, though, we were professionally welcomed and treated. Great amenities. Not cheap for retired military, but doable with some foresight. The building is well kept, clean, and looks great. Lots of atmosphere still.

Very convenient location... close to public transportation and the GOLD floor concierge is one of the best I have ever had... very attentive and friendly professional... would definitely stay there again

Great building, and great location. The lobby and bar and service were great. But $15/day for WiFi that is slow? No way. I'll stay at a far more basic hotel with good connectivity instead.

The fire alarms on floors 2-4 went off a few times during the night. According to another guest this happened the previous 4 night of their stay. The staff said they thought it was a leak in the roof? They would not put guests into a separate room (out in the lobby with plenty of onlookers) when requested to do so. There was no fire but still had to evacuate to the street as a check was done (those on the first floor were able to continue sleeping). There was no apologies only a "sorry for the inconvenience". No offer of a discount for the room or other compensation. Not good customer service, when you can't sleep in your room because of the alarms continually going off it is more than a mere inconvenience.

Great location, great service, great rooms - amazing linens and beds. Loved staying here and would stay again in a heart beat.
