Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney - سيدن

Rooms are clean and comfortable and the hotel is maintained to a high standard however a bit on the expensive side. Also it was advertised to have free wifi however I was told I needed to pay for internet when I was there which was disappointing.

Staff were extremely helpful and accomodating.

We had pre-paid and booked for a week. The lobby looks fine. We had to view 4 rooms before we found one that was not facing another office building, or over the top of air conditioning on other blocks.Privacy was awful if you opened your curtains and faced 10 floors of office workers! One was no more than 20 meters away, taking up 1/4 of the rooms facing it in the hotel. The rooms were poorly serviced in terms of maintenance. Clogged up with grime in the aircon systems, carpets were not clean, the bed was made with a single mattress cover, so did not cover the bed properly, along with the sheets that were not made up properly. This means contact with the mattress was made, and is a fundamental hygiene problem, guest to guest. If you cannot keep a room clean or make a bed in a hotel, the basics are clearly missing. All the cupboards were taken up with completely useless items put there by the hotel. Yellow pages, a toaster, ( no knives or anything to use with them!) mini bar taking up a whole cabinet as well as a fridge packed with more, and no other space. We had to move all the items to on top of the cupboard to store anything. The light switches were old, and in the bathroom you cannot turn the lights on unless you go in and look behind the 2 folding doors inside, completely useless in the dark. The lifts have panels inside that were faulty, and look above to see filthy lights covered in dead flies and dirt that has been collected. Had we not pre-booked and paid, i would have walked out to another hotel. They claim to be 5 * but a youth hostel or 2 star hotel have better standards of hygiene. The basics are missing at this hotel, and management clearly poor and blind to the very obvious. The only advantage is proximity to Circular Quay. I would (rarely) encourage others to avoid this hotel, as you can only be disappointed. There are better 3 * hotels in Sydney than this. In a hotel class like your you need to have WiFi

This hotel, while pleasant is in dire need of an overhaul, it is simply very tired, and the card operated lift is infuriating, that is if you dont enjoy going up and down like a yo-yo. their archaic internet access is both costly and slow

Great location and service, however the dull moment was being hit with a $200 per night bond as neither of us owned a credit card. I had to flatly refuse until a compromise of a $100 bond, which i was prepared for, was met. However, when the bond was given back to us they didn't even check the room. So the bond seems almost pointless to me. Other than that our room was great and overall a very nice stay.

The hotel was pleasant, centrally located to train and I was able to walk anywhere I wished to go. Hotel staff were pleasant, although leaving instructions at reception seemed to be a bit of a hit or miss affair. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

Wonderful experience. Close to everything. Incredibly helpful and attentive staff. Room was nicely appointed and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

On your website this hotel is very well rated, but they not deserves it at all.I travel around the world every year. I never wrote a review about a hotel before because I was generally satisfied. But my experience with AMORA Jamison Hotel in Sydney was so bad that I decided to write about whats really going on at this hotel.The personnel are rude, arrogant with the customers, in the room smell very bad, they charge you extra services you never asked for, the room service never respect the "not disturb " sign at so on. Overall , the worst hotel experience in my entire life. They should drop at least two of theirs stars!

Service is good, location is great but this so called 5 star hotel needs some attention. Carpets are stained, blinds broken, bed covers old and worn. The minibar is sad and understocked.

Great and comfotable hotel in a prime location only 10 min away from the Quay, the Rocks, the Harbour Bridge and 15 min walk to the Opera house. Great choice. Very, very nice bistro for breakfast down the Stree on George St. instead of the over-priced breakfast in the hotel. Also a number of cool bars and clubs within walking distance.

This Hotel is very cosy and the bed was extremely comfortable. We got great views from corner room on 22nd floor but you cannot see the harbor due to other high rises. The hotel is located in the business district so not much shopping around but it located well between Darling Harbor and the Circular Quay.

The concierge is absolutely the best! He had great answers for every question, and lots of good suggestions. Everyone who works at this hotel is friendly, willing to help, and makes an extra effort to recognize each guest and make you feel important.

We got a corner suite up on the top floors of the hotel with a city view. We could see a part of the Sydney Opera House in between the tall buildings. It's SO reasonably priced for the location you get. Our Club Jamison Suite room provides complimentary breakfast and evening canapes. Both exceeded our expectations by miles because of the food items they offer. I honestly didn't expect various sushi rolls in the evening or the more "high-end" eggs benedict type breakfast items, unlimited drinks including alcoholic beverages and so much more. The staff (especially Concierge Riazz and Elaine-Food and Beverage) including the porters were so courteous and helpful; I couldn't ask for anything more. They let us check-in early(around 9:30am)because we were travelling with a child and so jet-lagged, helped with arranging everything from private car transfers, tours and just making us feel so welcome and comfortable. We had such a wonderful time staying there and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

very handy location, but rooms seemed quite a bit dated. Lovely big bathrooms though. Service was fairly pathetic, had to call down twice to reception on more than one occasion

I was extremely pleased with the Amora Hotel Jamison! It was the perfect location that allowed us to easily walk around downtown Sydney to all locations due to its central location. The Rocks and Circular Quay were only a couple of blocks away. Darling Harbour and central Sydney were just a few more blocks away in another direction. The staff was outstanding. Our room was extremely spacious for a central city location, and the bathtub in this hotel offers something I have never seen before. You have to see it to understand! I spent many hours researching for the 'right' hotel in downtown Sydney and the Amora Jamison far exceeded my expectations!

Beautiful, walking distance to all major Sydney attractions and wharf.

Amora Jamison is in the middle of Sydney's downtown. It is about 10 minute walking distance to both Darling Harbour, Sydney Opera House, and the Rocks entertainment district. But you do have to go to these afore-mentioned neighborhoods to find clusters of restaurants. Wynward City Rail station is directly underneath the hotel which makes transportation very convenient. Hotel itself is of very modern design and comes with impeccable service.

Good points - centre of the city! - close to shops, harbour, restaurants - clean - comfy beds Not so good points - lack of toilet papers! lol - office view (think could say hi to the workers there) - curtains need repair
