Main issue was the fact that housekeeping staff was overwhelmed and therefore unable to clean room in a timely manner. Housekeeping supervisor did a good job of rectifying the problem, but front desk staff was rude when the problem was presented. Front desk staff even went as far as to give excuses rather than rectify the problem.

This hotel was quiet, easy to find. Quiet street. Indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Bathroom was tiny for me. Free breakfast, the only hot item was waffles. The staff served the waffles. The down side of this hotel is that it has no room service and no restaurants nearby so do your research first. There is a gas station less than 1/2 a mile away. Overall it was a good hotel, quiet.

Incredibly convenient to the Interstate, shopping, and other nearby sights. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, constant attention paid to guest requests. Love the indoor pool and spa-would suggest fixing the spa so all the jets work, but couldn't complain with clear conscience. Overall a fantastic stay for the money!

We were down for my husbands interview for graduate school and it was nice to have a place to relax and not have to worry bout anything and it is right in the middle of everything so you can get where you need to get too!

Very enjoyable stay! Our family went for a 1-night stay & were very pleased with our room! Indoor pool was super clear & whirlpool was awesome as well!! Room was super clean & staff was very friendly & helpful!!!!

Nice room, New furnishings and very comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good value for the price and convenient to highway.

This is my second time staying here. The hotel is close to everything. The staff was GREAT !!!

THE room was ok, The day staff was great, but the night not so much. Our TV in our room did not work, they did not offer to switch rooms for us only told us that the engineer lived to far away to call at night. I was not to happy with the night staff, but the day staff said they would have handled things differently

The clerk at the front desk was nice and sweet. hotel was nice. breakfast had a variety. overall everthing was great

Loved this hotel, I recommend it to anyone coming to the area!

Bathroon had mold on the tiles and a bug on the floor that was not removed while was there.

Room is OK, bed is OK, cleaness is OK. No fridge nor microwave inside, which surprises me because that's almost standard euqipment in almost every hotels, even motels. Met some creepy guys so that made me start to worry about it's environments. Near I-12 that makes it very convenient to drive anywhere, but the road is under construction so it becomes very dangerous to drive (also jam a lot during peak hour). If you drive there by the exit of I-12, be careful about the turns because you need to make a very sharp & quick left turns.

The hotel and rooms are clean and quiet. Mostly business people, not a lot of children. Had the swimming pool/ jacuzzi to myself but left suit at home because I thought it would be too crowded. Good breakfast. It's FREE - so don't pay more for a room that charges a higher price to include breakfast there. Traffic lights make easy access to the hotel, tucked away off of busy Essen Lane. Friendly staff. I highly recommend it.

The carpet was dirty......sticky. I was very disappointed. Got home and had a $20 charge on my debit card!

Friendly staff, I asked to switch rooms, no problem. The upper floors have a hint of smoke from prior years, when it was allowed. If they switched out the carpeting and or fabric, the smoke or musk smell would go away. Convenient and good neigborhood, great price, good value.

Room was clean, food was good, breakfast staff were very nice -- reception was pleasant. lots of noisy kids Saturday night, but they quietened down after 9.30pm -- pleasant stay, will be back next year

Great breakfast, friendly staff attendant in breakfast area. Other staff, not so friendly. Clean, comfortable rooms. Would like a mini frig and microwave....Soda machines do not work.

This hotel was very nice. The bed was very comfy, and the breakfast was good. The only downside was that the toilet ran - but hopefully that is fixed b/c we left a comment card for that. The staff was extremely helpful.

We would most happily recommend staying at this Fairfield Inn. It exceeded our expectations in every possible way.

Hotel was clean and nice. I always had the Pool and hot tub to myself , so that was great. ( But I was there during Mardi Gras in March; not sure what effect that had. ) Only one minor criticism was that the hotel did not provide body lotion in the room. Most hotels/ motels do, so I've come to expect it. One of the better breakfast offerings I've seen. They had egg sandwiches you could heat up; I didn't try that but it was good to know I could have. Their oatmeal was already made - and they had raisins and brown sugar to add if you wanted. (this was better than the instant stuff you usually see.)There were various kinds of milk -- whole, 2% and chocolate, maybe more. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed this hotel.

Needed a hotel with a good value close to LSU for a college tour. Fairfield Inn is a chain I trust; enjoyed the fresh waffle (small learning curve--my first one was overdone ; ) and other breakfast items. Staff was very friendly. Only 'complaint' was that the bed was somewhat hard and the sheets weren't as soft as the next night when we stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn in AL (a higher price-point). Either way, it was a nice hotel and I'd stay here again!

The staff were a bit indifferent but were polite.

Outstanding service for the breakfast buffet--especially friendly was the hostess, Martha.

Desk clerk was borderline impolite, otherwise all was fine. Sub par make your own breakfast, but okay in a pinch. All in all I would stay here again.

Not a bad Hotel. Internet was down and they were very polite and speedy with the repair. Breakfast was kept stocked during a busy time.

The staff was extremely courteous, especially those operating the delicious continental breakfast! I was a little disappointed by the springs in the bed, not as comfy as I had hoped, but worked just fine for the one night we stayed. No mini fridge or microwave, but with all the restaurants nearby, it wasn't a big deal.

Front desk personnel are about as friendly as a rattle snack - yikes!!! Room is pretty clean, but now on my third stay here the maid keeps forgetting to clean the coffee pot and leave more coffee in the room. Breakfast is very good and the lady that works in the breakfast room is very nice and accommodating. The neighborhood is nice and safe and a good location. This place could be so much better if the front staff acted like they cared and not like they were doing you a favor letting you stay here.

The only downfall of this stay was the 3:00 check in. We was there for a LSU football game that started at 6:00 pm. Allthough the hotel did let us park our 1 of our vehicles there early, so we could carpool back to stadium. They were very friendly and nice.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was cheerful, but most of all clean, and the location was very convenient to the expressway. Having access to the computer in the lobby for directions, etc. was most helpful.
