Danubius Hotel Regents Park - لندن

I knew that I would be arriving for an early check in following an overnight flight from Abu Dhabi and I had an exchange of emails from the hotel stating that an early check in would be fine. I wasnt impressed when, upon check in, they claimed that earaly check in wasnt possible and that a room wasnt available. We soon got that one sorted. The room size was a joke! The hotel has rooms on a corner and instead of having large corner rooms they split them to make 2 stupidly small rooms on a diagonal. there was no room to put 2 suit cases on the floor!!! Plain stupid. The rooms were singles at best.

Bar snack sandwiches were stale but staff eventually refunded money for one round. Cleaners were noisy first thing in the morning which was not appreciated on the 1st January. Reasonable hotel but expensive for what it is.

I am a business traveler. Arriving in the morning from an overnight flight and being told the room might not be available until 2pm when my first meeting was scheduled is not service oriented. The room was finally available at noon which I will give them credit for. The internet service is backward and never allowed me to use the online service. To get connected each time I needed to call the support line and so did my colleague. The interior of the hotel is drab and uninteresting. The food in Minsky's was adequate but not stellar. The hotel takes AMEX but not the restaurant. Not sure I'd choose this hotel again

We recently stayed at the Daubius Regents Park Hotel. We used the hotel as a hub for our Europe trip. The hotel is in a great location with access to buses & the tube and restaurants. We found the hotel to be clean the rooms to be big( bigger than the rooms in Europe). The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel happends to be opposite the lords cricket club. We had room service & the pricers were resonable & portions large. We will definetely stay at this hotel again.

My disabled wife has special requirements which the Danubius staff met with speed and courtesy A problem mattress was replaced within an hour Difficulty in negotiating stairs was no problem because of adequate lifts and stair lifts The Concierge and Restuarant staff were most helpful in dealing with seating problems and difficulty in getting in and out of taxis. It was our first trip to London for fifteen years; if we ever go again the Danubius will be our first choice

This is not the greatest hotel in the world but the service is absolutely outstanding. All members of staff should be congratulated. The owners should really invest more the the standard of the hotel in other areas so that the hotel matches the quality of its staff.

Found the hotel fairly expensive for what I got. The first room I got had no safe so I asked for another room. When I tried to use the safe in that room, it didn't work. Location is not bad, it's a 10 minute walk to the tube and a 2minut walk to the bus that goes to at lot of the central attractions.

I don't like to be in the thick of the hustle and bustle of a metropolis the size of London, so the Danubius suits me wonderfully. Steps away from Regent's Park and from St. John's Wood high street where one finds little cafes and restaurants, as well as bakeries and Boot's pharmacy and Tesco food mart. 5 minute walk to St. John's Wood underground, which made it possible to take the underground to and from Heathrow airport, although it does take about 1.5 hours door to door. Our room overlooked Lord's Cricket ground which is across the street. I have stayed here many times and enjoy it every time.

Stayed over on a Saturday night to watch cricket at Lords. Hotel is good, staff are helpful, but our room (335) was on the front side of the hotel and was subject to traffic and other noise from the road.

Friendly but unhelpful staff. The concierge provided little to no information about things such as airport transfers or places of worship. When asked about a nearby Catholic Church, the concierge replied, "aren't all churches the same?" and said he didn't know anything about churches in the area. But for a bellman overhearing our conversation, and telling us the location of a nearby Catholic Church, we would not have found out where to attend Sunday mass. The room directory usually contains this type of information. In this case, it did not.

Only stayed one night. No complaints. I found it clean and covenient with its own parking. The best feature by far is the location, literally overlooking Lords, plus being in the heart the attractive neighbourhood of St Johns Wood. Only negative for me would be value for money. Overall, allowing for the quality of the hotel, the cost of the room and £24 per day parking, personally I would expect breakfast to be included.

Room was small but well appointed. The "free wireless internet" was only for 15 minutes -- after that it was crazy expensive (e.g. 7 UK pounds for the next 45 minutes). They couldn't find our reservation on check in so we waited an extra 15 minutes or so for that. Within walking distance of St. John's Wood underground station but not close. Nearby Reegents Park is very nice.

The beds were very old and uncomfortable, however the overall cleanliness of the room was good. We were extremely disappointed with recommendations or lack of recommendations from the Concierge. Very surprised with the 4Star rating.

In many ways, this hotel exceeded our expectations (cleanliness, comfort, atmosphere); However, a couple of other things surprised us. First, the location was a little off the beaten path It's a decent walk to the nearest shops and cafes. Granted, Lords Cricket Ground is LITERALLY across the street, and Regents Park is a short walk, but I don't recommend it for travelers that want easy access to the Tube. The nearest stop, St John's Wood, was about a mile walk. With 70 pounds of luggage, that was a little tiring. There was, however, a bus stop right across the street that made it a bit easier to get around. Secondly, when booking, I must not have read the part about how in-room internet costs 12 pounds! Ridiculous. It says there is wireless internet in public areas, but upon speaking with the front desk, we found out that is not the case. We ended up using the free 15 minutes of WiFi per 24 hours. This made it very difficult for two people to check email on one laptop. Especially because the connection was a bit slow. All that aside, it was a very nice hotel. If you feel like internet is worth 12 pounds for 24 hours, then by all means, book!

The room itself was recently updated and somewhat colorful. Housekeeping was good and everything was clean from the lobby to the bathroom. However, leisure travelers should know that it is a long 15 minute walk to the Baker St. tube station. I did not investigate how long it takes to get to the St; John's Wood station. I would recommend the Danubius as a budget hotel within London but expect to spend money on taxis or spend time walking to the tube to get around the city.

This hotel provided good value for money at the hotels.com price. The location is lovely overlooking regents park but not very convenient for the tube. Room was described as refurbished but had simply been sprucerd up with a coat of paint. However it was comfortable and had everyting we needed.

If you are looking for something in the area, thats the best option! The hotel was ok, no problems at all. Just fine. Only issues that were identified were the internet cost (GBP 15 - too high) and the discount for the breakfast. If you choose a room with no breakfast and decides to take breakfast, don´t forget to ask for the voucher at the reception. there are 36% discount and they never tell you that! pay attention...

Did the job with minimal fuss.

Dirty stained shower curtain . Stained sheets. Shoddy furniture . Dirty empty fridge for mini bar. Rude unhelpful staff . concierge said " I don't know" , when asked to recommend a place to eat. We changed the name to I don't know be us! Very disappointed doesn't merit even 1 star! Stay away no excuse for dirt and rudeness!

The greeting was excellent. room and view was exceptional. Service in teh bar was first class. Bar meals were excellent value for money and tasty

The hotel is right opposite the training pitch of Lords cricket ground. My room upgraded from single to double for free, had a good aspect , was a decent size and clean. The hotel looks like late sixties/ early seventies from the outside and a little bleak. Once inside it's fine although some of the common parts need refurbishment. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We had booked this hotel as alate deal, and deliberately chose it so it was close to Marylebone and offered concierge service to leave our luggage. The hotel was very well placed for Regent's Park. When we arrived at 1:00 our rooms were ready. My husband is a big cricket fan and our room overlooked Lords - great position. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. Although we had not had breakfast included, we opted for it as overall there was so much choice and the quallity was excellent, and if you add up buying the individual items such as coffee, juices, etc, you soon reach the same kind of price. We also had the summer buffet one evening which was very good value indeed. Overall, great hotel, very helpful and courteous staff, great location - a definite for a future visit

Hotel was very nice. Not much to look at from the outside, but once you get in any reservations about the condition disappear. Room was well presented and comfortable, although if you a carrying a few extra pounds you will struggle in the bathroom. Location is the main downfall here, at least from a public transport point of view. You are a 10min walk from St John's Wood and 15min walk from Baker Street. Therefore, if you are planning on doing a lot of travelling around London using the underground it will not be as easy from here as with the more centrally located hotels. However, the location is nice. St John's Wood has some great shops and cafés. Plus, Regent's Park is just over the road and is a lovely place to spend at least half a day. One good thing on offer at the hotel is the carvery provided Friday and Saturday evening plus Sunday lunchtime. £18.50pp for a 3 course buffet plus tea/coffee. It actually represents very good value based on London prices (considering they normally charge £7.50 for a tuna mayo sandwich at the hotel) and the food was excellent.

First the only good part - I had gone to watch the cricket world cup matches in London. This hotel is right opposite Lords ground which is awesome. The Bads - Totally unprofessional service. The a/c in our room on the 4th floor was not working. The manager was not willing to accept that the a/c was not working. He came up and then agreed. He gave us a new room whose a/c wasn't working as well. They were very non apologetic about it. Their solutions ranged from opening the window to giving us a fan. Ridiculous.

I traveled with my wife for tourism and I can suggest this hotel: it was more than reasonably satisfiying for the price I paid. Is somewhat off the center and the Metro is at 800 m. However the bus stop is just at the door and very handy, both for going downton and to the Metro station. The Hotel is modern and clean. The rooms could be larger but they are more than the London standard. The staff is very nice and helpful and the restaurant is very good at a reasonable price.. Only problems: air conditioning with some problem and the ludicrous price of web Wi-Fi

Sehr einfacher Umgang, alles kann man haben, es geht schnell und das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Der Standort ist ok 10 Minuten bis zur nächsten Tube-Station bzw. 100 Meter zur Busstation. Umgebung - sehr arabisch. Würde aber wieder gehen.

Til trods for at hotellet ligger centralt, er der langt til underground, som er en meget vigtig faktor for storbyferie i London. Derudover er hotellet glimrende og ligger fredeligt. God service, f.eks. havde vi været uheldige med airconditionen ikke fungerede korrekt, men kun kunne køle. Vi gjorde opmærksom på dette og fik herefter mulighed for at få et andet værelse = god service!

Et udemærket hotel og prisen er rimelig London taget i betragtning. Ligger umiddelbart lidt i udkanten af London men der er busser til Undergrunden i nærheden. Hotellet ligger ikke i nærheden af butikker eller restauranter. Så når man kommer "hjem" er der kun hotellets restaurant / bar.
