Holiday Inn Gent Expo - جنت

Staff was friendly and very helpful - spoke very good english. Location was a little bit confusing. Restaurant was really nice and had friendly staff, but the food was rediculously expensive. The room was clean for the most part, but the floors had stains and were very dirty and I'm pretty sure there was mold around the windows sill. Had to use the fold out bed because we had kids with us. I do not recommend sleeping on this if you value your spine. The parking fees were slightly surprising as well. I stayed 2 nights did not expect to pay 29euro when I checked out. Not a terrible hotel, but certainly not the greatest. I'd say 2-1/2 out of 5 stars.

In the middle of nowhere, but right off the motorway. If you want to see Ghent/Gent, then other would be better, but if you are passing through, like we were, then it is great. V friendly staff. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Everyone smiled and couldn't help more.

Good hotel, although the location from Ghent is far. Rooms and service were good, expected better breakfast quality. Not impressed with the extra parking charges which were quite steep. Would have given a better rating if not for these hidden charges.

Conveniently located for the tram direct to the centre every 5 minutes - it takes 17 minutes. Breakfast is very over priced however but there is nowhere else to eat nearby. Comfortable rooms.

Parking is extra , 1night 10 euro, plus 5 euro local tax. These are the hidden charges.

My wife and I were looking for a place in or around Ghent for one night with reasonable parking and easy access to the city. The multi-lingual staff was very professional and courteous. They loaned us a transformer (converter) to fit our chargers and provided us with information about the city. There's not much around the hotel except the Expo, but that was enough for us since the tram to the city is there, and it only takes about 10 minutes each way to get to the city for about $3 each roundtrip. The room was really nice. The only downsides were the breakfast is pretty expensive and getting in and out of there is a bit convoluted, but both are really manageable. We'd love to stay there again!

The Holiday Inn Ghent expo is a Fantastic place to stay the trams are located outside wich go to so many different locations and are easy to use and really cheap.Ghent city centre is stunning and brilliant for shopping.So easy to find your way around. Hotel staff are great and really friendly,very helpfull about the local surrounding services. We traveled with our 11 year old son,who the staff could not do enough for. The only thing that i would recommend to the Hotel is that there should be a childrens Menu in the Restraunt,But when asked the chef did come up with a quick solution for my son to eat free of charge wich was excellent.I believe that the Expo in Ghent is usually a Business place to stay so the understanding of the childrens menu is explainable i guess as they probably don't have many children stay. The roadworks at our time of travel was quite bad,but this was not anything to do with the hotel it was surrounding the hotel due to a superstore altering the roads. Our stay was short but nice and we will be staying there again very soon.Highly reccommend this Hotel for business or just holiday.

The actual hotel was pretty nice. Our room on the otherhand was OK. There was a tear on the couch, the bathroom was not the cleanest but it was okay for a stopover on the way to Paris from The Netherlands. The breakfast was overpriced....looks very nice but we didn't have it. We got blocked in by two tour buses as we were trying to leave and ended up able to leave an hour later. The actual location is out the in the middle of no-where and isn't easy to find the entrance. Just noticed that they double charged our CC for the room so I'm about to work on that. Like I said, a decent stayover but definitely wouldn't stay there for more than overnight.

This Hotel is not in Gent!!! I t is actually located 20 min right outside of Gent. Taxis are very expensive and the money that i thought i was saving by staying here and not in one of the other hotels in the city was quicly spent and then some on taxis back and forth. while other hotels offered a complimentary breakfast to their guest this hotel did not and was yet another unexpected expense. The cleanliness of the hotel was ok. I did leave my room for a few hours only to come back to find that no one had yet cleaned my room. The staff was not very helpful since the hotel was not in Gent they really did not have much knowledge of where to go for food entertainment, drinks, and food. I was really bothered by the cab situation sonce it was a 30 min wait if i needed a ride to the city. They do offer a shuttle service but the hours of operation were not very convienient to my activities in Gent. The Breakfast was Good. The Gym rather small. I did not use any other ammenities.

I stayed at this hotel with my family - 4 adults and 4 children. Hotel is outside of Gent but on the main highway so easy to get anywhere. Was a stopover of us. Hotel is clean and tidy albeit a little dated. Staff very helpful. Ikea is over the road and open for breakfast and with the hotel buffet breakfast eight times more expensive. Okay, different standard but with 4 kids...... Restaurant is good quality but pricey.

I would recommend a stay at the Ghent Expo.It was superb value for money and a short tram ride away from Ghent itself. The tram ran frequently and was very cheap to use.We paid 7 Euros for 5 return journeys

This hotel caters to business people on an expense account. The cost of breakfast was a whopping 21 Euros per person.

Comfortable, reasonably priced hotel and with the nearby tram stop it's well situated for visiting the centre of Ghent. Access to the car park was a little confusing, but we found our way in at the second attempt. Slight confusion over pre-payment of the room, but that was sorted out. Would stay here again.

Buen hotel, comodo y desayuno muy rico y variado. Lo malo es que alrededor no hay nada, solo un gran Ikea. El estacionamiento hay que pagarlo aparte, y no debiera ser porque es un recinto del mismo hotel. el acceso desde el estacionamiento es incomodo.

1) Lors de mon arrive, je suis malheureusement tombe sur un petite blonde, qui etait des plus desagreable a la reception. Je dois preciser que les autres employe a qui j'ai eu a faire, par la suite, etait tres gentils. 2) les tarifs pratiques au restaurant sont tres chers et la qualite des plats tres mediocres.

mauvais souvenir. nous avons réservé une chambre pour 4, mais elle était pour 3.le deuxieme lit n'etait qu'un petit canapé pas confortable du tout. une lampe de chevet et la télévision qui ne fonctionnent pas.la wifi non plus!

We waren over het hotel zelf wel tevreden, maar de bereikbaarheid vonden we niet zo best, het is dat we een TOM TOM hadden, anders hadden we het hotel moeilijk kunnen vinden.Ook de omgeving was niet echt geweldig. Positief is dat we voor onze zoon , die op de kamer verbleef niet extra hoefden te betalen, en we kregen voor hem een gratis tandenborstel en tandpasta, omdat hij dat vergeten was.

We gingen 's avonds in het restaurant eten, maar de kaart is erg beperkt en het is niet goedkoop. Het was wel lekker.

Hotellrommet luktet røyk - siden de fleste rommene tidligere har vært tillatt å røyke i tidligere. Minibaren var tom.

Très bonnes prestations. Restauration très classe. Seul bémol : Qualité du lit d'appoint pour les enfants (canapé sur ressort bruyant). Hôtel idéal pour séjour : Proche accès autoroute.

Helt greit hotell, og kort vei til trikk som går inn til Gent sentrum. Sofaløsningen til barna (vi var 2 voksne og to barn) kunne vært bedre, ellers helt ok. Hotellet bærer preg av å være noen år, mhp farger etc. Stor parkeringsplass på utsiden, men en GPS for å finne frem kan være en nødvendighet...

familia de 2 adultos y 2 niños , nos cobraron 2.50 euros por dia y mayor de 12 años y 9.50 euros por el parking por dia ,es inposible aparcar ni en el IKEA,que esta enfrente ni en los alrededores y esto que esta en las afueras de Gante

dificil de acceder por carretera y sobre todo la habitacion no era para 4 personas, en todo caso 3 adultos y un niño pequeño, ya que el sofa cama era pequeño y se dormia bien. en cuanto al desayuno muy bien

Bra hotell, eneste minus var litt enkel meny i resturanten. Men bra staff og gode rom. Kun en kort trikketur inn til selve Gent.

Beste, 1e-Ik heb per ongelijk deze reservatie zonder ontbijt geboekt. Via internet kan jij een ontbijt boekt voor € 8.00. ik dacht dat ik ook bij de hotel boeken maar bij het hotel kost met promotie € 15.00. ik heb niet leuk gevonden. 2e- ik heb deze reservatie inclusief BELASTINGEN EN TOESLAGEN. Het staat heel duidelijk . Toen ik kwam bij de receptie moest ik stadsbelasting betalen. Over deze wil ik graag een klacht indienen. Ik wacht op uw reactie over deze kwestie. Met vriendelijke groet. Hotel située loin de la zone touristique. Chambre pour deux convertie pour 4 avec un divan-lit très inconfortable, trop cher pour le confort offert. Je ne recommande pas.

Fint hotel med alle de faciliteter vi skulle bruge. Børn spiste gratis!

Les falta servicio a cliente, la información o guía no es completa. no pudimos comprar una navaja y relog porque el empleado no sabia el proceso. Yo pondría un trnasporte interno a la estación de metro para servicio de clientes. la mayoría ibamos a Brujas. El cobro de 2.50 euros de impuesto por noche, muy mal

Sajnálatos módon csak átutazóban lehettem néhány óráig a genti Holiday Inn Expo vendége. A hotel csodás. Kissé még belakatlan, és a környéke is félig rendezett, de mikor kész lesz, nem vall szégyent a hasonló kategóriájú szállodák között. Ami azonban nagyon inkorrekt volt, az a távozáskor benyújtott +10 eurós "Turisztikai Adó" igény, ami a 5-6 órás ott alvás után, és a semmiből előkerülve -sehol, semmilyen honlapon, vagy a lefoglaláskor, még megemlítve sem lett- egy szintre degradálta az intézményt, az ukrán, vagy szerb "lehúzós" szállodák színvonalára.

It was in lower end of what you expect from a Holiday Inn. The staff was ok - but not so welcoming.

Payer pour un parking délabré et non surveillé, alors que cela n'est aucunement justifié. Un breakfast après le réveillon soit-disant offert, selon une lettre adressée par le directeur, est un cadeau que l'on s'offre avec ses propres deniers.

Nous étions venus en couple passer le réveillon de nouvel an, de manière générale nous sommes satisfaits. Nous souhaiterions simplement signaler quelques points: très facile d'accès en voiture mais absolument pas en tram car rien n'est indiqué (l'hotel indique l'arrêt de tram mais pas l'inverse) donc quand on vient en tant que piéton on met un peu de temps à trouver l'hotel, je vous conseille de vous y rendre avant de visiter la ville, et pas en revenant le soir dans l'obscurité car les alentours sont déserts. Il faut prendre la ligne 1 jusqu'au terminus fandre expo ! Mais attention les trams ne roulent pas tard et la nuit du réveillon ils étaient limités à la gare de ghent st pieter, donc on a du marcher trois quart d'heure à pieds.. Prenez bien le temps de vous renseigner pour tout cela ! L'hotel est super mais ne pensez pas y manger c'est incroyablement cher, il y a aussi une taxe de séjour et des frais de parking le tout pour une quinzaine d'euros quand même.. Faites attention aussi aux femmes de chambres qui ont tendance à rentrer assez tôt dans la matinée dans vos chambres ;) En conclusion, je vous recommande cet hotel avec un petit bémol par rapport à sa localisation qu'il est préférable de bien avoir anticipé !

nous avions reservé une chambre pour 4 (2adultes et 2 adolescents) quelle surprise en voyant la chambre proposée : 1 LIT DOUBLE ET UN MINI CANAPE PLIANT POUR POUPEE : matelas fin comme une feuille de cigarette ! résultat : les enfants ont passé une SUPER nuit ! merci holiday inn ! attention aux promotions menssongeres !
