This was my 2nd time staying here and although it wasn't as enjoyable as the 1st because the security kept following me and crew around the hotel and all outside, I still managed to enjoy myself. The staff was super amazing inside and they catered to my every want and need! I love this hotel.

Great hotel get location great workers

The location is wonderful. The rooms were exceptionally nice and clean. There was no noise at all. I like the security of the area by using room key entry. I will say that the rooms were over priced.

Very friendly staff, made us feel right at home! will definitely stay there again. wish the price was a little more reasonable

It would hv been a great hotel IF EVERYTHING was open on Dec 24th! So that wasnt fun. Hotel service was not too good considering there were only 9 hotel guests and 5 were mine and 4 jotel staff: 1 security (evening),1 guy who was parking lot greeter/valet/bag carrier/elevator helper, and 2 desk clerks which the male desk clerk seem very unhappy and rude, the female morning desk clerk was very friendly, helpful, and polite. And whats worse were the beds....they are solid hard..extra firm..not comfortable at all!

excellent location, good breakfast with lots of choices. parking $17 a nite.

This had a great location. I was a little disappointed when I found that with hotels.com we had 2 double beds, so we were not as spread out as I wanted. but aside from that, the location was amazing, and Memphis was amazing. Reccomended!

This hotel is in a great location, but the walls are paper thin, we stayed on a Thur. night, so it wasn't as much the noise from outside,(you can hear noise from traffic) but in the halls, at about 8 am it sounded like the maids were having a party in the hall. Also some noise from the adjoining room woke us up in the middle of the night. Also, the maid called our room at straight up 11 am to see if we were staying another night, and was very rude said she was waiting to clean our room, and was waiting outside the door, she wasn't plesant at all when we left. The rooms are nice and great location, but if you are a light sleeper, I'd find a different place.

Hotel was great in all respects - seemed to be fairly new and self park in attached lot was handy. We selected this hotel to be near Beale Street - and hotel was back to back to Beale Street. Avoid Beale Street - not so good musicians trying to play blues and food was very poor quality but very expensive - don't expect a real experience. Hotel is definately recommended.

We booked the suite and worth the extra money. Very spacious and like an apartment with full kitchen. Great location one block from Beale street. Rooms soundproof so music from Beale Street not a problem, Close to the river.

The hotel was nice & comfortable, but there was construction for remodeling, which was extremely loud & annoying. The staff at the desk was all but pleasant. They were non-smiling & when I asked to move to a different room (because of construction noise), he literally just stared at me like I was asking an unreasonable question. With an annoying response he move us two floors lower but the noise was still annoying but not as loud. His lack of care & lack of guest excellence would be the only reason I wouldn't return. I paid a good bit of money for this room & would expect to be treated with more respect. The "hot" breakfast was another disappointment....

You know going in it's going to be kind of noisy; it's RIGHT ON BEALE STREET. If you don't want to hear bands and people yahooing on the street in the small hours, dont' stay here. But if you want a great location, a clean large comfy room, stay here. The location is unbeatable; spend a little extra and get the balcony so you can look at all the people out walking around. I loved it.

The hotel location is perfect, you can stroll right out to Beale St. They have clearly posted warnings that it is not a quiet neighborhood, so it stays noisy until the wee hours, but that is part of the charm. The restaurant downstairs makes a mean burger. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

I loved my experience here; every staff member that I encountered was pleasant and/or friendly and made me feel like a welcomed guest. I have stayed in plentiful and varied properties was truly impressed by everything about this hotel.

We recently stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites in Memphis, the location was great very handy for Beale Street and the Trolley. The Staff were really friendly, but hotel a bit dark (dismal), breakfast was good, but paper plates and plastic cutlery. The bed was so comfy, room nice but no fridge. We had a blocked toilet which was quickly fixed, there was a used earbud on the bathroom floor (from previous guests), which was still there when we left 2 days later, so housekeeping probably could be better.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times the last few years. It is clean, good and friendly service, nice continental breakfast, has a parking garage (you have to pay extra), very convenient to Beale St. and downtown Memphis. The only negative for some people would be noise. There is an outdoor park/stage next to the hotel that sometimes has live music from early afternoon until 11:00 PM. Beale St. can be loud too sometimes but it is Memphis, home of the Blues. I would stay at this hotel again (and I will), no problem.

Everything about the hotel was excellent.Staff were friendly & helpful in every way. Rooms were cleaned & beds changed daily.

I spent a lot of time looking over reviews of hotels during the process of booking a trip to Memphis. Because of the location and the mostly good reviews, I chose to book the Hampton Inn. I was not disappointed. It's not a huge hotel, but had good amenities. The continental breakfast and fresh fruit in the lobby were a plus. The employees throughout the hotel were very nice and helpful. Since I was traveling with my sister, I was concerned with safety since some of the reviews indicated that Beale Street and the surrounding areas weren't that safe. The hotel had outside security at night on the weekend, but not during the week. We had no problem at night, however. We did have a situation in the hotel one morning. A homeless man wandered into the lobby, but was quickly escorted out. That is the only negative aspect of this hotel, and could probably happen in any hotel. This was the closest hotel to Beale Street. Some people complained of noise, but we had a room on the opposite side of the hotel, and had no noise at all.

We booked the room online and were NEVER informed of the $17 PER DAY fee for parking, found that out the day we drove into the lot. Outrageous! The first day there we asked the two people at the front desk about the Mississippi riverboat ride and were met with hem-haws and blank stares, never received an answer at all. Outrageous! The entire time we were there we had to practically beg to have our room cleaned before six o'clock at night. Outrageous! Loved Memphis, hated Hampton Inn!!! Will not go back to Beale Street Hampton or any other Hampton ANYWHERE, ANYTIME!!!

Our room was nice and clean. The hotel staff was not very friendly the night we checked in and the guy at the front desk gave us an unoffical parking pass which caused us to get a tow warning on our car. The next day the manager gave us a legit pass, Disappointed that we had to pay an additional $12 per day to park in the hotels lot and the girl who checked out after our stay was none too friendly. If you want somewhere close to Beal street that's clean and in a nice neighborhood this place is good. There is an awesome park close by and you will be walking distance from the lake and Beal St. There is a dinner that serves a great breakfast called the Blue Plate Cafe on Court that had great food and wonderful service. If your all about friendly service and less about convenience stay somewhere else. If you don't mind a not so good service and want a great location stay here.

Right by Beale Street and close to restaurants and other attractions. One draw back is that it is RIGHT by Beale Street- music is near by and keeps going for most of the night. It was fun and fine for one night, but much more than that and it would have gotten old. Felt safe and secure and it was a nice, clean room.

On arrival at hotel I had a shower, after the shower i walked across the room to dress. I noticed that my feet were filthy after walking across the carpet and i had to re- shower.

first the positives.the hotel is very close to beale st,so close ear plugs are available for free in the lobby.its very clean and the staff are polite and helpful.my room was very large with a kingsize bed a writing desk and an armchair.its also only one block away from the greyhound bus station. the only negitive note i would add was that the decor in the room looked a little tired.

Stayed for two nights, had a gorgeous suite which was very big. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect for Beale street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great place to stay to enjoy beale street. Just a half block from beale street so you don't have to stager too far.

Good location, but I never felt quite safe, which says more about Memphis than it does about the Hampton. Services were good and the hotel looked good.

Liked the hotel and the location. If you get a room on the Beale Street side, be prepared with good earplugs or decide to party until 1:00 a.m.

excellent location... employees were very nice.... the breakfast could use a little help.... starting with some real eggs....

exactly as described by others. hotel is clean, room was nice, staff was helpful. VERY CLOSE to food, music and Bealle Street. Kids loved it!

Although the hotel was generally comfortable and well run, with helpful and friendly staff, it was not made clear to us how noisy the area surrounding the hotel was - it backs onto several bars on Beale Street which play live music loudly until very late - the front desk has earplugs on display. Also be prepared to share elevators and halls with drunk revellers.

Loved the hotel!! 1 block from beale st and 2 blocks from fedex forum. We will be staying there again.

We really appreciated all of the extra security features such as the room key activated elevator. Great location. We could see Beale street from our room and it was easy to find. There isn't any room service but the front desk provided a list of restaurants that would deliver directly to our room. Overall it was a great hotel for a fair price.

With Beale Street practically at our door, this newly renovated hotel offered a perfect experience for us first-timers to Memphis. Charming and very proactive staff, from the front desk clerks, to the food service staff, to housekeeping. Our rooms were very comfortable (down pillows) and the ONLY minor complaint is that we could hear faint Sat night Beale Street festivities well into Sunday morning. We didn't experience the noise Sunday night. We later learned the front desk offers ear plugs. The hot complimentary breakfast offered such a variety, meeting most anyone's dietary preference. My husband and I, along with our teenage kids, loved Memphis and plan to go back often. The Hampton Inn will be our choice in hotels.

Location is everything. Hotel was exactly what we expected. Second year in a row we have stayed here. Less than a block away from one of the greatest streets in America. nice to be able to enjoy a late evening listening to great music and only have to walk 5 minutes back to your room.

The shower head was very high, even for me and Im just over 6ft tall and female. The sink was high as well. No fridge or microwave. Beds were on the firm side, my son liked it. Just around the corner from Beale St. It was quiet as well. Maids were very accomodating. Breakfast was cereals, fruits, waffles eggs, meat. Pool was only opened until 10pm, whirlpool was opened 24 hrs and they were located in the same area, only 1 jet worked. You do need your room key to access the elevators every time to get to your room. Good security and police/security on site 24 hrs. I think it was overpriced for this hotel.

I was surprised that the hotel was considered a 2.5 star hotel. I've stayed at plenty hotels, and this by far was the best. I had the time of my life. The room was cleaned, Service was wonderful, and the employees at the hotel were truly amazing! They were very helpful and super nice the entire time! Everyone should stay here
