Hotel staff was courteous and professional and room was well above average.

If you are expecting a great deal on a room at a top-class hotel chain, like I did, think again. I have stayed at several Inter-continentals and am a regular at the Intercontinental in San Fran. This hotel is nothing like them. More like a poorly managed 3 star hotel. The beds were so uncomfortable, I couldnt sleep the first night. The front desk was extremely rude. When my wife asked for a corner room, the front desk attendant respnded "You're lucky to get a room at all". Not what I expect for this chain. Its true that I got a good rate...I guess you get what you pay for....barely.

This was one of the best business hotel stays ever. Super attentive staff - from front of the house team, restaurant waitstaff & maid service. Great location near airport and tons of my clients. I will absolutely stay again.

Pretty pool area and lobby, room very comfy, tho bed too soft for us. Sushi Saki across the street, and had wonderful sushi. Excellent breakfast at the executive level. Helpful staff. Only downside is the charge for wifi. Would definitely stay there again.

Extremely dissapointed, the staff was not helpful or knowledgeable, the room smelled like mildew and was totally outdated, the only restaurant available without leaving the hotel was poor at best. Website was very misleading.

When I booked this hotel, I spoke to the hotel directly regarding a room with a balcony. I spent at least 20 minutes of my time making sure to book a room with a balcony due to my traveling companion's medical history. When we arrived at hotel, we were given a room without a balcony and made to pay the price of the upgraded room with the balcony. We were informed that the hotel was to capacity and that unfortunately the requested... and agreedupon room was not available. the hotel was very nice, if traveling alone, I would not have minded the room given me, however, I made prior arrangements out of necessity and I had a very difficult stay because I could not get the balcony.

The location was great for my purposes as it was close to my meetings but far from the beach. The staff at the hotel was top notch and the common areas were nice but the hotel needs some updating. The rooms were a bit stuffy and the windows could not be opened. The bathrooms are small and the shower curtain rod prevented one from opening the bathroom door all the way. The furniture was stained and the exterior walls of the building need a coat of paint.

It was a nice little getaway for me and my son from Sunday to Tuesday. The staff was pleasant and it was in the middle of a lot of places to eat. We even were not that far from a couple of malls. It was in a great location and didn't take much time to get there from the Miami International Airport. I will stay there again!

This hotel was pretty far from the airport. The people were rude, the food was gross and we had to take a cab because the free shuttle stopped 10 minutes before we landed, although no one told us it stopped! It was really bad. No ice machines, but you could pay room service for ice, really?!

Everything was perfect!!!

This is a pretty nice hotel overall. Some minor deficiencies were the pillows in our room, they were beyond flat and the king bed only came with 3 pillows. Also there are no ice machines on the floors, you have to call down and they bring up an ice bucket. The worst part of the hotel by far was the restaurant, food was average at best. We were down for the PGA event at Doral and the location was close by so that was nice.

It was nice to get a night away from the kids and responsibilities at this beautiful hotel. It was clean and everyone was very pleasant. The ONLY complaint I have is that there are no ice machines on the floors. We had to request ice from the desk... and then wait. It wasn't very long, but I guess I'm just not used to that. Otherwise, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean friendly location, near great malls and easy access to main highways

At the "nice" hotels, they gouge you for every service - high rates for the internet and to play kids shows.

great! service & food excellent! concierge level excellent

They charge you extra for every thing from wi-fi in your room, to an extra cup of coffee, extra for a breakfast buffet which is not very good. The beds are very uncomfortable, I travel alot and this was one of the worst hotel exsperance I have ever had.

Staff very helpful. Pool beautiful with adequate fitness center. Had Super Bowl party that was not well advertised.

Looking for a little nicer hotel than a Comfort Inn type hotel. This is the place. Everything is better. Food, service, cleanliness, and fixtures.

The hotel may have been the least comfortable of any stay I can remember. We had flown in from Panama and were overnighting for an early morning flight. The walls are paper thin with little or no noise control, sleeping was very difficult. Service in the lounge was mediocre at best.

the service was great and the pool area was lovely. The room service was also very tasty.

Great place to stay. First class in every way.

The staff (here name was Soar) at the recepiton was very unfriendly and we didn't feel very welcome -> service without a smile!! Thanks good the concierge was very helpful und friendly even with is bad cold gave us good suggestions for Malls. The room/hotel it was clean and the mattress were good. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit. However, for a 4* to have to pay for Internet is to much, as any motel and less than 4* you don't have to pay for it.

In this day of the Internet a quality hotel shouldn't charge $9 to use wifi. It leaves a bad taste when you're staying at a 4 star hotel.

First of all, the hotel should definitely let you know that the shuttle runs once per hour. It is about four miles from the Miami airport, and turns out to be a $30 taxi ride. You then end up in the middle of a strip mall, near a gas station and a lackluster sushi restaurant. The attendants only recommend the hotel's restaurant, indicating there is nothing much else around (the sushi place is okay...). And then, if you ask why there is only one shuttle per hour, and you ask for any recompense for even "high-speed" Internet, you are met with "No." If you ask why or why not, you will receive a consistent "It is hotel policy," dripping with scorn. When one says, "I won't stay here again." You may indeed receive, "Good." You may also find that other guests have a similar experience. Beyond the poor service, the hotel itself is really only passable (especially for an Intercontinental), and with all of the options available to travelers around the Miami airport (many, in fact, closer, better priced and with more regular airport shuttles), this hotel is not a very good option, and I would strongly recommend against it.

Hotel great and breakfast buffet fantastic for the extra $10. Staff very friendly and accomodating with extended checkout. Wouldn't heisitate to highly recommend.

The Intercontinetal is very convenient for the Airport and is maintained to a very acceptable standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the Buffet Breakfast excellent. On our lateish arrival we were shown to our allocated room only to find it already occupied! for this minor inconvenience we were upgraded to a Suite which offered exceptional accommodation.
