Everything was wonderful from the cost to the staff and the breakfast. I highly recommend.

Close to where we needed to be. Staff was fairly friendly. Hotel is generally dirty, carpets, etc. Our comforters and blankets had burns. One of the fitted sheets had a couple hundred holes in it. A few went into the mattress but didn't look like burns. Almost looked like bugs had eaten the sheet and mattress. Wouldn''t go back

Not so clean hallway.Front desk emp very professional and helpful.

The room was fine except for the fact that the bed was a little too hard and my phone would not accept incoming calls.

The staff was very friendly and the location was convenient, the bed was horrible! Like my title reads, the bed was so uncomfortable, that we thought about sleeping on the floor, except there was some white residue , not sure of what it was but there was drops of it on the floor, possibly a cleaning product that was spilled or whatever. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Oh and the tub was caulked by a child. There is a gap at the bottom of the shower walls and its a perfect place for mold growth. The fixtures in the shower i.e. the soap/shampoo caddy thing in the corner was caulked very poorly and dirty looking. I wonder if they make the housekeepers do the maintenance in this hotel. I can only give a 1 star, maybe a half star for the the rate, and in retrospect I wish I had paid the 30$ extra and went to a competitor. The hot breakfast was good and we had belgian waffles.

we were told our room would be ready by 3pm and it wasnt we had to wait 35 min outside it was cold then we got to the room and found a used condom in our bed i will never stay there again

The king suite didn't have a shower. only a jucuzzi tube. they had plenty of room for a shower.

Was so disappointed. I knew this hotel was older, but didn't expect it to feel so old - especially in the neighborhood. Too many other hotels in the area that we found (not on this website, however) that were much nicer.

Uncomfortable beds, no smoking room smelled like tobacco and made me cough all night. Was very close to my destination. Price was right.

Bed had hole in middle of it.

Staff was unfriendly especially night staff. Walls very thin you can here neighbors upstairs and on sides convo, stains in carpets in hallways horrible, they allow locals that look very rough to hang out in back of hotel by pool smoking and drinking beer very anoying when going and coming

We stayed there for one night and if we had decided to stay in St. Louis another night, we would have found a different hotel even if it had to be more expensive. The bed was terribly uncomfortable and the bathroom was so small that the sink and mirror were actually outside of it in the main part of the room. It was just overall uncomfortable to us. The breakfast provided in the morning was good, and I wished I'd had more time to make myself some waffles with the wafflemaker.

free carwash a plus, breakfast on par with price for stay, quaint pool, service professional, smoking smell in hallways, but living quarters lacked any attention beyond minimal. large trash left under the beds, carpets in need of replacing, and questionable bedspreads contributed to the overall discomfort

Our first room smelled like smoke. Staff said it was because floor above was the smoking floor. They said they will spray the room. Naturally, the spray lasted only so long...Next day, it was just as bad. Different staff member gave me key to different room before I was done talking. He said someone someone smoked in the room. He apologized and new room was fine.

Very good stay. Could use a coffee vending machine or 24hour coffee. Would stay there againm

We had some difficulties getting to the hotel. We used googlemaps. It got us to where we could see the hotel but did not have us turn in the right place so we had to find somewhere to turn around and go back to it. We had to go to the front desk to get pool towels and there was a decent wait anytime we had to go to the front desk. Our room was clean and well laid out. Breakfast was good and we really liked the pool.

Enjoyed the stay. The beds were stiff and the bathroom was really small but it was otherwise very clean and cozy

First nite only had 2 towels for 4 guest had to go get them.next day room was not cleaned .Next day had to go get towels then had to go tell them room needed cleaned they got there at 5 p.m.The only thing they done was make bed no clean sheets. When we got back later that nite had to go get towels and bath paper was none will not stay there again.

The area is very nice, as was the lobby area. However, everything changes once you get off the elevator. The directions for room numbers were confusing: #1-322 one way, #2-321 the other??? Took awhile to find my room, and I'm a math teacher! The carpeting is stained, wet, and dirty. The pillows were terrible. All sheets had multiple cigarette burns, as did the blankets. (And it was non-smoking room!) The only saving grace was that the neighborhood was very nice.

It was very good, as usual. We have probably stayed at this place at least 20 times or so, over the last few years. Always a good place to stay.

Like everyone else said, the beds are very hard. The staff at the hotel was very nice. The room was clean, the pool area was clean, and breakfast was fine. One lady at the check in desk went above and beyond her duty to help my mom. Overall, I was completely satisfied.

First was the most complicated check-in that I have had. Not the process, but all the equipment was not working. Copier turned on fax, printer did not work & the key machine wouldn't make keys right away. Employee told me my room was just down & to the right. The outer door to the hotel was not locked (A recurring problem... Outer doors were not locked or propped open). "Down & to the right" means on the other side of the hotel. The door to our room jiggled when anyone walked passed it. The bed had 3 pillows. The couch had stains on the cushions & dirty sheets. There were no extra pillows/ blankets. I went back to reception & the staff said they would have to "hunt down" pillows. They also questioned me about the sheets as if I was lying. By that time I got back, my other guests had discovered that while we had a Jacuzzi, there was no shower & only one towel. I constantly saw maintenance & housekeeping staff, I rarely saw any of them doing actual cleaning. Our room was not cleaned once during our stay. The remote for the TV barely worked & we discovered that our rock-hard, not so comfortable bed was two twins pushed together to make a king size. While the discount on the room was nice, it was not worth all the aggravation. Fortunately this time, we were rarely in our room because of all the family events, but it really only caused more trouble. We will not be staying at this hotel again, nor will we ever recommend it.

Very comfortable and convenient. Would stay there again.

I read through all the other ratings before we stayed there and was prepared for hard beds and flat pillows. We actually walked completely through the hotel during our stay and other than "unique smells" through each hall, it was a clean hotel. Didn't feel dingy. It is an older hotel that America's Best Inns bought. The breakfast satisfied our family and the hotel staff was very friendly. Our room didn't have the iron board and iron or the hair dryer but it was no big deal to get them from the front desk. For the price of hotels now it was better than the last place that we stayed at.

The beds are SUPER FIRM!! So if you like that, you're good. I hate that and could not sleep at all.

The hotel staff was completely discourteous. I was ignored when i 1st arrived by the staff as they had their heads in the computer. An acknowledgement of my presence would have sufficed. I stood there with my luggage for a few minutes then was greeted by "name"

Overall, it was okay for the price. It was great for location for my needs, halfway between Barnhart and downtown St. Louis. Right at the intersection of 55 and 270 worked out well, and Lindbergh Blvd. has plenty of restaurants and shopping so one doesn't have to go far to get needed things while traveling and a good meal. The comfort was a bit discouraging. The bed was pretty hard with flat pillows. And the ice machine was down the hall a couple of doors but it sounded like it was right in the room which wasn't too much fun when someone gets ice after we went to sleep. The non-smoking room smelled of smoke a bit, but that could be bad hotel guests causing that, or a smoking room converted but not cleaned of the smell. If you are looking for saving money for other parts of your trip, this isn't too bad of a choice, just be prepared to ask for extra pillows and in my case a remote control for the TV, which the staff at the desk provided upon request. They were great, by the way.

It was a last minute booking and I should have read other reviews. However, the "jacuzzi" is a tub with a couple of jets.... Also there no shower so that was inconvenient. Also, there was a lot of hair in the jacuzzi as well as around it. That was a major turn off. The bed was the hardest bed I have ever slept on, and I like firm beds. However, the room was big and the sofa sleeper was iffy looking so we placed towels over it while we sat on it. The location was perfect, and is close to the mall.

At check-in,I was shown three supposedly "non-smoking" rooms in order to find one that did not smell smoky. Possibly due to later construction, access to this hotel is very difficult to identify in a very high traffic area. i found a roach in my room, left it with a note, got no reply. My room was passed over for service one day when service was desired. Layout of room does not suit watching TV from anywhere but bed, for example, while eating. Carpet clean but edges visibly not reached.

The room was clean. It needs a little updating, but not bad overall for the price. The bed is really firm. Jacuzzi tub is really a jetted tub and there is no shower in this room. King Suite is pretty big though about the size of 2-3 standard rooms. It had a pullout double sized bed also. Room was really quiet. Hotel is conveniently located right by the highway/shopping. Great breakfast, standard cold breakfast items and then they alternate waffles and biscuits and gravy every other day. Staff was very friendly. Also has an elevator.
