Breakfast was great, young lady very welcoming great coffee! and the pancake maker what a treat! All staff very friendly.

This was a great hotel in the middle of the rocks. We had views to the Operahouse and no noise from outside. One of the best value hotels we've stayed in Sydney. Would definitely stay there again.

The location and access to the city and the shopping and the ferries made the holiday so easy and relaxing

Nice boutique type hotel with great location and nice view across the harbour. Friendly helpful staff. Great value and we will definitely return. Bathroom was a little small with 4 of us in 1 room - a small storage stool or some more wall shelves might help.

Our room was all right--nothing really special and no windows that you could see anything out of. But the location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic--very close to the Harbor Bridge and the Opera House and right in the middle of The Rocks neighborhood. The front desk staff was friendly and the room did have almost a full kitchen (which we used for a rollaway bed for our son).

We spent 4 nights in a Studio Appartment overlooking the Opera House and Harbour Bridge in Sydney. The staff were friendly, especially the young lady who checked us in. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as it was the same each morning. The location was excellent for walking around and catching ferries. We would stay there again.

I can't fault this hotel. We had a very pleasant stay and the staff were always friendly and helpful, all round great place!

Handy to many eateries, room, location, service all wonderfull, expect the useuall Sydney parking extorsion rates, would stay again.

This hotel is in an ideal location for Circular Quay,the Manly Ferry, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.The hotel staff are very helpfull, friendly and courteous.Will use this hotel again and will recommend it to family and friends.

My sister and I loved this hotel, two blocks from where our cruise line docked and literally only a few steps from sight-seeing, shopping and eating. Front desk personnel could not have been more pleasant or helpful with directions and arrangements for an airport cab, etc. And our studio room was surprisingly large, complete with kitchenette. There we were in the vibrant, bustling Rocks, with the harbor at our door, yet we felt tucked away safely with complete privacy and little noise. Very reasonable rate, but felt like a 5-star experience! I can't wait to go back and stay longer.

I stayed just before flying out back home overseas. It is very conveniently located to catch up with friends for drinks or dinner. The heart of the Rocks and Sydney. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I were traveling with our 2 teenagers. We booked the Terrace House (basically a 1 bdr apartment) thinking that it would have a sofa sleeper in the living room. Instead, they had 2 cots in the living room, of which there was barely enough room to open the 2 of them up with all the other furniture in the room and they did not leave any blankets for the cots (our bed did not even have a bedspread that we could give them). To top it off, the daily maid service did not close them up, thus rendering the living room portion unusable for relaxing. If those were the only issues, I could have given it higher scores but the real issue was when a problem with our heating system started. At 1:00am on Saturday night loud noises started coming out of our heating vent in the bedroom. My husband and children were soundly sleeping so I decided to suffer through it for the night getting only 3 hours of real sleep. The next morning I talked to the front desk and they told me that maintenance didn't work Sundays and that they could put us in a standard room. I told them we were leaving and going to be gone for the day. When we returned that evening the noise had stopped so we thought they must have fixed it. At 10:00pm, however, the noise came back even louder. This time my husband could not sleep and went to the front desk. They suggested he just turn the heat off, mind you it was winter in Sydney and cold at night. He asked if we could just get another room to sleep in for the night. Reluctantly, they said we could sleep in the terrace house right next door. The minute we walked into the new terrace house we noticed how much bigger and nicer it was than the one that we had and that it had a cozy bedspread on the bed. I don't know if that is a result of booking on Hotels.com and getting presumably cheaper rates. Nonetheless, this room was obviously available after I complained and was not offered to us. We were not offered any restitution.

Great location but this property needs a major facelift. It is in the Rocks area so very convenient to Circular Quay where all the ferries and buses converge. The Front Desk staff is very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable of restaurants and places to go see. Our room had a kitchenette with fridge & microwave which came in handy. The room was quiet during the week but over the weekend, it was quite noisy due to street noise. The housekeeping staff needs to be better trained on cleaning and supplying the rooms. The breakfast was ok but not very creative - same items every day. Too bad they didn't advertise 3 free hours of internet per day. If I had known that, I would have brought my laptop.

Hotel location was great and we enjoyed our brief time there. Easy walking to many of the well know sites Sydney is famous for.... Not happy with the rates charged for telephone use even though we used our own telephone card! Would stay there again because of location.

In terms of the value we got, we can't really complain. It's solid lodging in a premium location (literally steps from the waterfront with good views). The room was large and had a nice balcony with views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Staff was very polite and helpful. Housekeeping does an exceptional job. My main gripe was with the gym, which is so old and crummy, it's borderline fraudulent they claimed they had one, with 3 broken machines from the 1980s in a tiny room. This was a dealbreaker for me as it's an important part of staying fresh on these long trips. Another issue is breakfast, which is okay the first day, but is exactly the same every day, which is frustrating when you stay 19 days as I did. It doesn't take that much effort to put out a different fruit or pastry.

I got the room via Hotel.com at a discounted rate. The location is 5 mins from Circular Quay and surroungin shops / markets and Harbour Bridge. For the price this hotel represented value for money and includes a swimming pool / jacuzzi. There are areas where an update is required and it isn't a Hilton however it's significantly cheaper than that hotel. Thereofre you can accomodate slight imperfections. Overall this hotel represented fantastic value for money and an ideal tourist location.

close to everything, little pricey, staff great

The Rendezvous was in the Rocks, the first-settled area in Sydney. It was near the bridge, ferries and opera house. The buildings are old and mostly restored - lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, and a pretty easy walk to downtown. The Circular Quay, where the ferries take off is also a good place to catch the hop-on-hop-off double-decker tour bus, which we took to Bondi Beach. There was a bakery/cafe on the Nurses Walk, across the street from the hotel, where we went for breakfast (fronts on George St.). Also an Italian restaurant on George, called Appetito, for dinner.

this is a very comfortable hotel walking distance to everywhere for Sydney Harbor. The fact that the rooms have a kitchenette makes it convenient to eat when you don't want to eat out all the time. It was nice having 3hrs free hi speed internet.

The Rendezvous hotel is in the heart of the Rocks, and just a few meters from great shopping and restaurants. The staff really goes above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that you are happy and have everything you need.

Having stayed in the Rocks area before we knew the location. We had relations over from England on their honeymoon and we wanted somewhere to stay that would reflect well on Sydney, and Australia, in their eyes and also somewhere that was special. The Rendezvous Stafford did all of that, and more. Our room was fantastic; the location ideal and the staff a credit to the hotel. There are many meal locations nearby, transport is only 5 minutes away and you step out the door to see the Bridge and the Opera House - fantastic!

Great place to stay. Couldn't be more centrally located. The front desk staff were polite, professional and very helpful. I had absolutely no complaints about my stay there. Surrounded by interesting sites and good restaurants. Would choose to stay there again without hesitation.

What would have been a great stay was ruined by either a dishonest or lazy staff. I left my cell phone and ipod in the desk drawer. As soon as I reallized this, I called. Housekeeping had not turned it in. I ask if any other guest had checked into the room since my departure, and the front desk said they had not. I again told them exactly were the items I left were and they either failed to go look (lazy) or a member of housekeeping did not turn in the Items (dishonest). Being that no other guest had checked in, the entire issue must involve the hotel staff. I will never stay in a Rendezvous Hotel again.

this is a very nice hotel in a fabulous area. Lots to do and see nearby, but far enough away from the noise and hub bub. the hotel was stylish and had everything we needed. It's not cheap, but good value for mone.

Located right in the heart of The Rocks district, this is an awesome hotel with amazing service. Matt and Simone, at the front desk, are two of the most receptive, gracious, and hard-working folks I've ever encountered. Be sure to book a "harbour view" room so that you can sit on the balcony and enjoy the sights of the harbour and the Sydney Opera house while having a sopt of tea. You are within walking distance from the bridge, the harbour, all of The Rocks activities and the train station at Circular Quay. Breakfast by the pool is nice, and there is a well-kept pool, spa/whirlpool and sauna for your use. Everything is immaculately clean and well-kept. thw maid service is perfect, although we never saw them! They got everything done without ever being seen! This hotel was way more than we expected, a great price, nad service beyond what we paid! A great choice!

This hotel is situated right on the Rocks area of Sydney and i was lucky to have a room with a slight view of the opera house. The surrounding are is pretty safe with bars and cafes near by.

We stayed at the Rendezvous Stafford Hotel Sydney this past weekend. It also co-incided with the Grand Finals for Rugby and the city was full. We got a room with a balcony which afforded views of the Harbour Bridge, the harbour, and partial view of the Opera House. For two of the nights we were there the city had fireworks and we had fantastic seats from our balcony. We have been to Sydney several times and for the price this is definitely a winner. One thing I didn't like was having to pay a fee to go on the internet. I've not had to do that at other hotels.

Great location. Note that they require $100AUD deposit PER NIGHT that you stay. Beware cut corners in cleaning - my sheets weren't changed during my 4 night stay, and the dishes were done once. The bathroom received fresh towels, but that was it. I had massive phone issues and had to move rooms 3 times, very inconvenient. But they waived my phone fees when I checked out, to my satisfaction.

Located in the heart of the Rocks and walking distance to EVERYTHING made this hotel very convenient. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very basic, however a great value compared to surrounding hotels.
