I did not enjoy my stay! My room never got cleaned even when I went down and personal told them. They had my room vacant and so that's y it didn't get cleaned then they let someone else check into my room. Crazy!!

Overall the stay was enjoyable. Parking was tight if you were not in the garage. Notice on the website concerning extra charge for garage parking would have been nice. The added expense was not anticipated.

We were 3 in the room (a king+ sofa bed), stayed 2 nights in the Hyatt, and found it quite comfortable, central with easy access to the Galleria, Rice Univ. and downtown. Breakfast was served as early as 5:30am and allowed us a good start for an early flight. (even though, officially it opened an hour later) -It was really great not to worry for stops on the way to the airport. The kitchenette has everything- great for a longer stay- which we will consider next time in Houston.

Everything was great about our stay, except for having to pay for parking. Free breakfast, large rooms, kitchen, laundry service, garage parking, and free wi fi. what more can you ask for? Its about a 10 minute drive from most places in Houston (village, etc.). This is going to our go to hotel from now on whenever we come to Houston. It's not the nicest/most luxurious hotels out there but it definitely feels like home away from home. The only cons: walls are a little thin, you might pass by it your first time there, and pay for parking (though it seems most hotels do this in Houston).

Very nice facility to stay at. A little tricky to find and you you do have to pay an additional $12/day for use of the attached parking garage. Free wifi and the hotel staff was great.

Needed a place to stay for the Houston Livestock show. Not as close as we needed but in all not to bad of a drive. In to turns a five miles, we were there. Room was comfortable and roomy enough for me and the family. Did'nt like for paying for parking in the hotels parking lot, but it was ok.

I booked this hotel based on the high overall rating on Hotels.com, but I was not impressed with the property. The pictures made this look like a newer hotel, but the owners are trying to put lipstick on a pig. This hotel is old and dingy and very worn around the edges. We left after the first night because of the condition. Management was helpful with issuing a refund and very apologetic. They said they are in the process of refurbing, and we must have gotten one of the not refurbished rooms. Breakfast was just OK - powdered eggs, soggy waffles, good sausage, cereal, fruit juices, pre-made cheese omelets. Our room had tattered carpet, stains on the couch, and mold in the shower. Hallways were dimly lit with old carpet. Parking in a dark, gated garage was an extra charge per day - make sure you take note of that at bottom of the details for this hotel, I missed it!!

Really amazing location, central, walkable, great restaurants and delivery places too. Galleria right there, shuttle runs in the evening, breakfast buffet was surprisingly good. The mini suite we had was perfect, the full kitchen makes life so much easier in every way. Main thing was the excellent staff were very helpful even though we were probably demanding.

We really enjoyed out stay at this hotel... The staff was very professional and friendly.

Overall I had a wonderful stay and it was comfortable the only thing was the pillows are too soft and the ice maker took too long to make ice so when you make reservations request that the ice maker is on before you check in.

This Hyatt is a great place to stay and is close to the Galleria area. You might want to have your own car to drive around. The hotel is clean, great variety of hot breakfast items, and staffs are friendly as reviewed by others. Our favorite part is the water pressure of the shower head. It is STRONG and is refreshing compare to other hotels we have stayed around the country. Parking is $12 per night inside a gated structure. We figured it's fine since we got an above average hot breakfast. It's totally unlike Continental breakfast provided by other places. We visit Houston once a year and will definitely return next year.

My son and brother live in Houston so, this year we decided to go to Houston for Christmas. Since both are single we decided to rent a Hyatt suite and brought home cooked Christmas dinner to them. The staff did everything including relocating us to a larger room once we checked in. They even provided a larger table for our dinner so we could enjoy it in comfort. The best stay in a Hotel I have had in some time. The price was unbelievable as well. Great staff would highly recommend.

Very friendly and helpful staff, and very comfortable suites. Some renovation going on but that didn't really affect me. Some stains on carpet in room but otherwise very clean & kitchenette had everything I needed. Wireless internet was excellent and free, which was very important to me. Manager's specials were really good on weekday evenings. It's perfect if you need to be in that location.

My hotel stay overall was awesome. Breakfast, secure parking, nice rooms/bed. Only 2 downsides: key didn't always work to get into the parking garage or my room and the water pressure in the shower sucked. I will stay here again though. Price was right, close to the freeway and just down the street from the Galleria.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. Upon arrival, my room was prepared to my requests and the staff was friendly. I was also told of the features of the hotel including their breakfast and evening social. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The location is just minutes away from the Galleria and in a quiet area so there wasn't too much traffic at all hours of the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Galleria area.

We have stayed in the Galleria area many times, usually at the Hotel Indigo or Hotel Derek. We thought we would try a different spot this time around. Won't do that again. The site doesn't mention paying for parking, which is $10 a night, and every time we went to or from the garage, the door was propped open from the hotel to the garage (absolutely no security). In addition, the beds were less than stellar, and we couldn't get the AC to anything less than 73. When we checked in, the woman at the desk checked us in while on the phone with another customer (that she answered after greeting us), and when I questioned the parking charge, she just whispered, "that's what it is." We won't be staying here again, regardless of price.

The staff made the stay. They were pleasant and helpful

This is a great hotel and we are repeat customers. We stayed here over the Christmas weekend and had no issues. Room has all the modern amenities and breakfast is good. Parking is convenient and included with the room rate which is a big plus! It is not walking distance from uptown shopping (unless you like to walk a few miles), but is an easy drive. Hotel offers a shuttle for guests without a car.

We had a great stay. Twice we missed housekeeping because we wanted to sleep in past 8, and they never came back around until the next day, it seemed inefficient. But it wasn't that big of a deal for us. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty average, nothing spectacular, but had a good selection of food items and beverages. The parking garage that was included was free and very clean. You park on the level of your room, so it was a quick walk from the car to our room. Overall a great, comfortable stay!

We recently spent two nights at the Summerfield Suites, which we chose because it's easy to get to from the Intercontinental Airport and it's close to The Galleria area. The room was nice, the Social Hour and breakfast had good food and drink selections, and the customer service was outstanding. The hotel staff was visible and accessible at all times, and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be working there. Staff at the front desk was particularly welcoming and helpful. In fact, the man who handled our check-out offered to check me in for my flight and printed my boarding pass for me. For a rather small hotel, this one appears well-run by a staff which knows how to provide service to customers it seems to truly appreciate. Our experience here was pleasant, relaxing, and worth a return visit.

The Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Houston near the Galleria was exactly the type of hotel I was looking for. Coming from New York City where it's always loud and busy, I wanted to spend Christmas in a quiet and peaceful environment which this hotel provided for me. The staff were exceptionally polite, understanding, and accommodative . Breakfast was in an abundance and could be taken to your room if you wanted. The hotel is well situated, convenient to most attractions, and well priced. I will definitely recommend the Hyatt Summerfield Suites in Houston to all my friends and hoping to visit again in the not so distant future.

Great time at this Hotel they gave my children a gift for Christmas from a treasure box and more importantly were good with customer service in everything we needed from towels to blankets to shower caps all willing to help me out. Great hotel and will reccommend to anyone again. ONLY ONE ISSUE WAS THAT THEY WANTED TO CHARGE US FOR PARKING AND HOTELS.COM SAID FREE PARKING BEWARE!

Stayed overnight after a long day. Staff was great, friendly but not to talkative. Room was great, spacious, and comfortable, and just like advertised. Snack cove very well stocked, my kids loved it. Pull out bed did the job.

I made a trip to Houston to see a production my niece was in. I booked at hotels.com for the first time and got a great rate at the Hyatt near the Galleria. This was my first stay at a Hyatt. It was clean and the set up was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. It was easy to find and a great central location in Houston.

Hotel was just OK. Hotel staff was constantly missing from front desk. They were in an office across from the desk chatting with other employees and only after someone noticed I was standing there did they move. This happened on 3 different occasions. The shower curtain in my room was too short. It did not reach the top of the tub so water was all over the floor creating a slippery mess. There was no dresser or drawers for storage that wouldn't be hung in a closet. No cell service in my room. I take on average 20 business trips per year and this stay was very disappointing.

Not happy when checking out.. Had to find an employee because noone up front .. They trying to charge ne again too and it is still showing on my online banking

The hotel was good and would stay there again. The bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked but the room was clean. Had a cooktop and small fridge and micro. Convenient location for Reliant Stadium-10 min drive. The breakfast was also enjoyable.

I am a native Houstonian who has recently moved to another state. On my visit back, I knew I wanted to stay in the Galleria area, but many of the hotels are very pricey. This one is a great value. Nice room with kitchen, internet etc. Nice breakfast too. The only thing negative was that I was not told that it's $10.00 a day to park. I was just presented a bill for it at checkout. Not nice. All in all a great experience. Thanks!

We were only there for a short stay but all of the features of the hotel were perfect for us. We had a baby with us that required some of the ammenities from the small kitchenete present. Overall great stay!!

If you're looking for a negative review, don't read this one. My hotel stay here was very pleasant. I'm a very busy person and I don't have time to deal with hotel stay issues (who does?). This place was what you would expect out of hotel stay: Clean, quiet, comfortable, friendly and professional staff, and in a good location. I will definitely stay here in the future. Thanks.

It is very comfortable, very clean, its located in a very nice area, the morning breakfast was very good too, exceeded my expectations by far. We had a great family trip and it was in part for staying in this hotels. We will stay there for sure next time.
