All I needed was a clean, quiet room in a convenient location. I got just that and was satisfied. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We have stayed there before, love it!

The only reason to stay here is the price, but next time, I'll spend an extra 20 bucks and take a step up.

Does not look like much from the outside, but room was very clean and comfortable.

Decent place to stay for a weekend trip. Good location.

Middle of downtown. Easy to get to and very nice rooms inside. Don't let the outside fool you. Surrounding is downtown and looks old but that's all downtown in any city.

Super location, and great staff. Very active guests and walls were thin!

This is a hotel where the doors are on the outside. It's in a very loud neighborhood, so it's not always easy to get peaceful night's sleep, unless you need the ambient noise of helicopters, stray cats, and guests yelling to lull you to sleep. The rooms inside are actually much nicer than you'd expect, so that was a nice surprise. They were also very clean. Of the four nights I stayed there, I had a hot shower for only two of them, so that kind of sucked. Bottom line: it lives up to the old saying: you get what you pay for. Good value, OK experience.

I was very surprised with this hotels customer service, how clean and up to date the rooms were and the location. It's only a $10 taxi ride to the staples center you can't beat that it's way better than driving and trying to find a parking spot trust me we tried. Best you can get for the price and location. I will return.

The hotel was ok. The location wasn't real nice, but the rooms were perfectly acceptable. Bed was nice, fridge, iron board/iron, microwave, all were fine. I would definitely stay there again. Good price also.

Decent place overall, close to downtown. Staff was very helpful - requests for things like additional towels were promptly fulfilled. The receptionist gave us a lot of info about touring the city. However, not as good as motels I've stayed at in other places, and more expensive than those. The carpet was a bit dirty (blackened our feet when we walked on it). There was no public computer in the lobby (a standard feature at many motels). The continental breakfast didn't include some standard things like eggs and waffles, but was adequate.

Surrounding area is sketchy. Good location to Staples and LA Live. Breakfast is usual mediocre bagels, english muffins and cereal. Parking wasn't a locked and secure lot. I was told that they do have cameras on street level lot, but not in garage below. I wouldn't walk around the area alone. Room was OK. Had fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker and microwave. If breakfast had better quality items, would be better overall.

I arrived by public transit, Red Line to MacArthur Park and bus 200 down Alvarado to Olympic (normally I would walk this distance). The neighborhood is a little sketchy. I was uncomfortable waiting for the bus at the Metro station. That is the only negative I have about this little place. Staff is friendly, there is fast food and a good restaurant or two nearby (I recommend the SPOT across the street with 20% coupon from the hotel front desk before 7 pm). The breakfast is decent. The room was clean and I had a good sleep. I'll be back a couple of more times in the next 30 dyas..

Very nice little hotel for a two star rating. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was adequate being free and all. FREE parking is definitely a bonus, since some hotels charge a lot of $$$ per day. Neighborhood is just ok, but the hotel is only a 15-20 minute walk to the convention center and staples center. Overall I would stay here again when I need to be close to the convention center.

When staying near downtown LA, there is no "middle class" hotel rooms. You either pay over $300 a night for a nice luxury room at one of the top notch hotels in downtown, or you get one of THESE rat holes. This hotel is no exception. The room was poorly-maintained. The exterior (parking area, hallways, etc.) was filthy. The only thing is that it's close to downtown. If you have the option, go a little more out of the way and find a decent "middle of the road" hotel. You'll paid less than $100 a night for a much cleaner and better-maintained hotel.

I read previous reviews, so I was ready for a 2 star Hotel. I only needed a place to sleep and take off early in the morning. It is downtown and noise level appropriate for DT. The parking structure is compact. It was the least expensive hotel, and it worked out well.

Everything was good. I am happy with most of the things in the stay. only few minor issues during the stay are that restaurants outside the hotel weren't plenty, breakfasts were ok but not bad at all.

Yeah, i went to grab a coffee cup as i was making some before i headed out, come to see, someone left a half full cup of comet bleach in the cup! Very dangerous, unprofessional, and a major health hazard. Extremely disappointed in this hotel's matinence :(

Hotel staff was great. Room was clean. Parking was safe and secure.

The room was actually pretty nice, better than I expected. The lady on reception was very kind and helpful as well (there was also a grumpy guy but I didn't have much to do with him). The surrounding area is a little on the sketchy side, but I didn't feel unsafe walking around as a lone female in the morning and mid-evening. Probably wouldn't have wanted to go out later at night, though.

All we required was a clean place to stay at a reasonable rate. This motel provided just that. We were not promised anything luxurious and that was ok. We chose this place over the "conference hotel" because of the free parking and proximity to our destination. We appreciated the refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pool looked tiny, not big enough to swim laps, but would be nice for a quick splash if the weather was hotter.

I would stay there again, especially nice if you are working Convention center. Easy access to all.

The service was very polite (front desk/breakfast lady) but room service literally knocked and barged in the second after. But everything was clean, especially considering how cheap our stay was compared elsewhere! A pleasant stay overall.

We stayed here for basketball game. Shower clogged and never drained . Only stayed overnight so didn't change rooms. Tv remote dead and old tv but not to important . Screaming in pool area late night . Poor breakfast . Staff friendly and walking distance to Staples are only positives.

My second time staying here and the room was very clean and spacious enough for us 3 girls and all the crap we love to bring for the weekend! Always cleaned and housekeeping is always around offering sheets, towels, or to take the trash. Microwave and fridge with room for a good deal. Beds are super comfy and clean!! I was surprise and please! Some restaurants around walking distance; clubs close by. Not a place to stay if u have kids only because if u have to walk to what you need it is far but great for business trips or a girls weekend out :-)

We stayed at the hotel for two nights and got the worst room ever - 203 or 204 I don't remember exact number. The room walls and door are facing the Blvd on the second floor and there was no sound isolation whatsoever. We turned on the fan for the nights to be able to fall asleep, so if you are sensitive to the sounds when you are falling asleep try to get the room facing the other side of the Blvd. Parking can also be problematic if you stay out until late.

There was an issue with my room, and I called all four days twice a day to speak with the manager. I left message with every call, and he NEVER contacted me!

We wanted to stay close to the LA Convention Center and not spend too much money. It worked for us. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and we felt safe (which is important). We'd stay here again.

This place is not a bad place to stay, internet connection is excellent, rooms are ok. But I wouldn't call a place like this a hotel, to me it is more the drive in Motel type of place. It is in the middle of Korea Town and a part of Korea Town where the city development project hasn't started yet. but the location is close to the highway.

The hotel was very good in every aspect except location. It is a walking distance to the Convention Center, but the area is relatively rough. Consider taking a taxi or bus when returning in evening.

Nice place, went to the Lakers game with my dad March 16 & we stayed here! About a 15 min walk down Olympict to Staples Center..perfect! Don't have to drive..I would stay there again when I go to another game!

Very good hotel!! good location and parking, Staff wereall very veyr nice and helpful! My coffe maker was broken when i came in but 5min they came to replace it with a new one. would defintely come back! towels are al litle old though but its ok

Close to Staples and LA Live, but the hotel left a lot to be desired. The police were called twice on another room (4am and again at 7am). The price was about $20-$30 lower than the average...I would recommend spending the additional money for a better quality room and service.

I booked a room at this hotel because I was attending a conference at the convention center and wanted something that was within walking distance (it's a 20 minute walk, a direct route, along a busy street). The surrounding neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges, but as a solo female I felt safe. Although, I probably would not have walked alone after dark. There was a wonderful Mexican restaurant across the street. Also within the same block are fast food restaurants and a convenience store. The breakfast only consists of cereal and toast. The room was clean and recently renovated. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. Considering price and location, I would book a room at this hotel again.

It was very quiet in the room and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was nothing special.

Its a cozy and clean room, stuff are so friendly, but noisy if someone speak outside.

we booked this hotel because it advertises an heated outdoor pool we booked it so our son could swim when we got there the pool was freezing cold when we complained the staff told us the web site we booked it through were at fault for putting the wrong information on their site, we wont stay there again

This is a very clean two-star hotel. I did not expect the Ritz Carlton, but I was very comfortable there. The staff are helpful and conscientious. The bedspread was replaced with a beautiful, white duvet during my stay. The a.m. coffee was very good.
