The Hyatt House is very convenient to shopping and SMU.

Room, amenities and breakfast are all way above average in this price category - no hesitation staying at Hyatt Place / House

Very nice hotel. Great location. Just a few minutes from downtown and right next door to the New Bush Library/Museum. Excellent shopping right next door...Attentive friendly staff too...

Tagged along with my husband on a business trip. Close to his meetings downtown and close to family in the Park Cities and shopping at Northpark for me. Complimentary breakfast and happy hour was great. I would have given Hyatt House a perfect rating but there was a light out in the front of the hotel and the flower pots were in dire need of water the entire time we were there-4 nights.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic. We wanted easy access to be able to get in and out of Dallas without a hitch and this hotel fit that completely. Their staff was supper in providing answers to questions about the vicinity. The magnificient Northeast Mall is so close and access in and out of Dallas via Rt. 75 was so easy. SMU and Baylor are close as well. Breakfast was always tastey and had plenty to compliment any appetite. I would recommend this hotel to everyone and we've stayed in plenty of them...the Hyatt House gets an A+++!!

Our suite was very clean everyday. Lots of options and many conveniences.

Really liked the room layout. Only negative at all was that the front desk was understaffed at the time of check-in, so I had to wait a good bit longer than most hotels .... and that is a relatively minor glitch ... I don't believe that was their usual staffing level.

Everything was wonderful. It felt more as though I was staying in an apartment, and not a hotel room. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. Just be aware that there is a $10/night fee for parking. I didn't realize this until checkout, but that's certainly not a deal breaker.

The hotel was a bit difficult to locate, probably more due to the GPS than anything else but once we found it we were very pleased. Great staff, nice comfortable room and good breakfast selections. Nothing fancy but it was VERY nice. Would absolutely stay there again.

The room was wonderful, like a studio apartment with fully equipped kitchen and great layout. I was lucky to find a spot to park on the street to avoid any hotel parking fees. Breakfast was average with the basics. Overall great stay (1 night) and would stay again.

A lovely property for the price. The front desk staff were very kind and accommodating. Our room was clean, generously sized, and with the included kitchen I would call it a real bargain! The free breakfast was by far one of the best I have ever had in any hotel. Wish I could have stayed for a month!!!! Thanks to the staff for the fantastic job you do, and congratulations to the Hyatt Hotel Group for getting it right.

I have to travel to Dallas on business on a fairly regular basis. I've been trying hotel after hotel to find the perfect place. I need a kitchen, like it quiet, want it friendly, and it must be clean. This place had the most amazing staff - Leah in particular made me feel welcomed and like she honestly cared for me to be happy with my stay. The breakfast was an actual hot breakfast. The room was like a one-bedroom apartment. The housekeeping was impeccable. They thought of everything (need to print something? Want a nightcap? Forget your headphones? They've got you covered.) I'll be staying here for every future trip to Dallas.

I had an awesome deal on a king size suite but only stayed two days. There were many options and they seem very keen to meet your needs. It was very clean and very close to 75 between downtown and north Dallas so it was the best of both worlds, not to mention a walking distance to Northpark. The only "con" was how close it was to the highway because you could hear the sound of the highway but that really didn't bother me but I could see it bothering others.

My husband and I have been making more frequent trips to Dallas (from Austin) due to familial obligations, so when I look for a hotel room, I want something comfortable, accesible to my grandparents and relaxing. Hyatt House hit all of these points and then some. We had a king room, and it was a real treat: a fully stocked kitchenette, a comfortable couch/living area, desk and chair, and a huge bed in the master, along with a vanity/sink area and separate bathroom/shower. The windows cancel out virtually all the noise from the freeway and the blackout curtains mitigate the light. The drawbacks we noted were minor: the toilet is a little too close to the door, so every time one of us walked into the room, we banged our shins on the toilet; the sink handle is one of the singular pump-kind (rather than two knobs), so slurping water from the faucet in my usual ladylike fashion always led to my banging my forehead; and the alarm clock by the bedside was craaaazy bright -- to the point where we opted to unplug it, because it was just too much handle once the lights were off. Also, both of us wish there was a room service option (though the 'grocery store' idea is a unique and helpful one; we only wish there'd been items in there we wanted). All in all, a VERY solid hotel; we will definitely return!

The room was a little dated but overall it was a great stay! The suite was very spacious and clean!! You do have to pay for parking but its worth it! The parking garage is locked so you feel at ease leaving your vehicle. Will stay here again next time I am in Dallas!!

We were able to check in about an hour early without any hesitation. Earlier in the day I had called to request a change in room type, and that was handled promptly and courteously without any question. Front desk staff were cheerful and helpful, although just a tad slow; one of the two people there appeared to be a trainee, so understandable that transaction might take a little longer. Room was excellent, quiet, clean, and comfortable. We've stayed here before when visiting family just across the freeway, and will do so again.

Perfect location, perfect service, rooms are excellent if your in town on business or for a longer stay. Staff is wonderful. Feels like home. Will be staying there again next time I'm in Dallas.

Room very clean and nice. Bath tub and shower curtain need updating. Can hear other guests in their rooms. Was expecting better cable since it was direct tv. Really do not need 5 sports channels or cartoon channels. Would prefer more options. Would recommend this hotel.

This hotel needs a remodel. The bathroom is old and tired. Bathroom shower curtains old, torn and dirty feeling. Linens need to be upgraded. Products are awful. Such a nice location for such shabby details. The rate is great, parking is convenient, desk staff very nice, but I just would like a nicer experience.

Loved the stay at Hyatt. Just don't forget to ask about park and Pay as you will pay daily to park your auto. it was $10.00 a day when i recently visited and stayed for 8 nights.

We were not told there was an extra charge for parking when we booked or checked in. I believed I was deceived by the hotel.

This was the best hotel experience I have ever had. The room, staff, parking, ease of checking in and out...the whole experience was just great. I give it an A+

Walking distance to excellent shopping malls and groceries. Only negative: loud heat/cooling system. Had to wear earplugs to sleep. Windows in the room do open which is nice during the right time of year.

Only stayed one night but it was very nice. The breakfast is above average. Super close to Northpark Mall and lots of other shopping.

Room had not been thoroughly cleaned. TV difficult to see from any point in the room and no HD. Breakfast featured some kind of "mystery meat" and poorly done scrambled eggs. Only fruit was grapefruit and people who take statins cannot eat grapefruit.Checkout was confusing because they put a blank bill under my door and then took two tries to print one out for me. Great location but only so,so as a quality hotel.

We stayed Sunday PM-Friday AM. The hotel is located right off of North Central Expressway and is close to all kinds of places to eat. Staff was welcoming and professional. You have to pay $10/day for parking in their gated multi-level garage. Free Wi-Fi in rooms. Our room was on the 2nd floor closest to the garage and elevator overlooking the courtyard's pool and hot tub, so it was very convenient to get to breakfast and our car. There was a great array of food served twice a day (breakfast and social hour on weekdays after work)! Delicious chocolate chip cookies, spinach dip, pizza bar, and wine were served during social hours. Their "Guest Market" is a small room with food for purchase anytime you want something. The room itself is like a comfortable apartment, complete with office desk and fully equipped kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator dishwasher, and small range. The blackout shades on the windows were quite effective and helped us get a good night's sleep! The only things that we didn't like were 1) the carbon monoxide detector had a blinking light on the ceiling where we could see it from our bed, and 2) our room door wasn't properly sealed, so every time the A/C kicked on, the door would make a sound like someone was coming into our room. Other than that, our stay couldn't have been better! We'll definitely come here when we're on business again!

Very unhappy with the breakfast situation. We stayed two nights; both mornings there was insufficient breakfast items i.e., food items, silverware, coffee cups, etc. Realizing it was the Thanksgiving weekend I am surprised Hyatt was not prepared for additional guests.

Excellent staff and a nice overall stay!

This was our second stay. We came back to this hotel as we knew the rooms were clean and we liked the suite. It is located close to where we needed to be for a wedding reception. Happy hour and breakfast was excellent. We will stay again if we need to be in that area of Dallas.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel. Helpful staff and clean room.

The suite was appointed nicely but some things make me question whether this is truly a Hyatt property. For example, the towels were all old and a "greyish" white. The rooms weren't serviced if the staff heard a television when they passed by. My room was only vacuumed twice during my stay. It wouldn't have been a big deal but the feather pillows leaked and that made for a mess sometimes. The wired and wireless Internet connections throughout the property were painfully slow (less than 1 mbps when tested). I understand humidity and that it can create mildew and mold in a bathroom, but there were no attempts to spray the shower area to remove the mildew during my two week stay. Breakfast was better on weekends than during the week, but were decent overall. I probably won't stay here again.
