This place is poorly taken care of. The rooms smelled like smoke and the front desk said that's the only room they had. They TV had poor signal.

It has adequate fridge & microwave, adequate but mediocre. Must have once been a nice hotel and important things maintained, but it badly need of an overhaul. Hall carpet installed over several uneven surfaces.

This hotel was a nightmare. Let me just walk you through it... I am from a nearby town but stayed late in Ann Arbor and I decided to get a room for the night for a couple friends and I to stay in. First impress walking in "this place seems okay, I guess." We go up the elevator, and I slowly start to realize everything is run down and grummy. The hallways smelled like marijuana and stale cigarettes. The beds in our rooms were noisy and uncomfortable, and the bed sheets barely covered the mattress. The sheets looked like they haven' t been washed in day (my friend found a long, curly hair on her bed). The bathrooms were filthy... And there were stains all over the wall, door, and door knob... I assume they were blood stains. Haha... Long story short, this place was nasty and I was straight-up embarrassed taking my friends there! Never again! Don't go there unless they rejuvenate everything!

The whole building was shabby. The security door at the end of the wing right next to our room didn't lock and the glass was cracked. One of the hand towels still had the sales sticker on it, so it never saw the inside of a washing machine before being hung in the bathroom. The bathroom counter had exposed particle board along the bottom edge. The old tube television was missing the power button and there was no remote control to be found. The staff was nice when we checked in. It wasn't the closest hotel to where we were visiting, but it was definitely the least expensive in the area, which is all we really wanted for our one night stay.

The hotel is old and run down. The dresser in the room was broken and all the furniture was distressed. No overhead light a the tub was almost too scary to shower in.

The room was fairly clean, but the hallways and other common areas were not very well-kept. The location to my destination was perfect, and price was good. I suppose I got what I paid for.

Simple, clean, quite, warm and welcoming.

Our non-smoking room smelled terribly of smoke. A large trash can was positioned next to front desk to catch water from leaky roof.

The hotel is kind of run down and in need of maintenance. The hallways had a bit of a funky smell, but the room was ok. The room door was hard to open, and the hallway carpet was worn. The ice machine on our floor was broke. The room had 80's era wallpaper in it. The room was a whirlpool room, and that was nice. It had a separate room for the whirlpool tub, with a second tv in that room. Though both the TV in the main room and the whirlpool room were old SD tvs. The limited cable package did feature HBO, but the cable was split so many times it was pretty grainy to watch tv. This location is really convenient to University of Michigan. Right off the highway, and just a few miles from Michigan Stadium.

The rooms weren't cleaned for the three days we were there. Same sheets for three days. Bathroom was not cleaned very well.

I expected cheap, but this was bad. Many users have commented on several of the worse aspects of the place, but what stood out was the smell. The place in such bad need of replacements and updates to absolutely everything. It is dilapidated, and close to uninhabitable. Pay more and stay elsewhere. At least there weren't bed bugs.

We had a bed to sleep in and hot water for the shower. Door to the room was extremely hard to open..needed to kick the door for it to open. OK for a road trip without females. Met our needs but just barely

In a word, scary. Terrible hotel. Dried blood on shower curtain, burnt out light bulbs, filthy place. Elevator broken.

Nov 2012: This is what we expected. We had low expectations and were not upset. It is what it is...a place to sleep for a football weekend. Simple maintenance can be done (new shower curtain, new 75ohms cable to the tv, a tighten faucet, replace light bulb) to improve this a star. Motel workers were VERY nice and accomplished what we asked them to do to fix what needed fixing. Construction around hotel is annoying. To go to the Starbucks across the street drive up through the adjacent parking lots since there is only a right turn only at the traffic light at the hotel. Location was great - close to campus, while right next to I23. This is a cheap place to stay. Pretend you are in college again and set expectations low. Old but clean. Bed was good. Shower was GREAT...strong and hot. Isn't that all we need?

way too expensive for what you get -- but it was a big busy weekend at UM. 3 people in the room, of course only towels for 2. Maid missed towels from last guest. scary elevator. continental breakfast ... treat yourself to Denny's just a block away.

This was an older hotel and it was not worth the price at all. The sheets barely fit the bed, and there were stains all on the carpet. The bathroom did not look sanitary at all either. I would not suggest staying here ever.

It was the cheapest hotel near ann arbor that I could find, so I expected the worst. There was a Jimmy John's wrapper left by the previous occupant, so cleaning crew is lackluster. Walls are real thin, and I was able to hear the person next door talking on their phone; this problem is more evident in the bathroom. ~15 channels, so don't expect much to be watching some good TV.

The individuals I worked with during my stay were polited and very attentive. Unfortunately the hotel is in need of a deep cleaning and many upgrades. The carpet life was used up 10 years ago and needs to be cleaned. Im not very picky, the hotel served my needs but I would not take my family to the hotel or reccomend the hotel to someone else due to the upkeep and visual cleanliness.

The bed was OK. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave oven. Those are the best comments I can make about this place. The owners apparently do not believe in vacuuming either the rooms or the halls. The touted wireless did not work and the 1980s TV had about 12 channels. A guest is required to go to the front desk and give a $10 deposit in order to obtain an iron. News to Hotels.com: If I have the same lousy experience again, you will lose my humble business.

Terrible. They have not spent a $1 on this place since new management took over and re-named the place. Our room had 3 lamps, none that functioned. No remote control for the TV. Food leftovers were in the fridge from a previous stay. The place is almost deplorable.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It was nice and quiet. It was hard to find because it is right on I-94 and there is construction but once I found it I enjoyed my stay. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The tub drain did not work and when calling down to front desk and asking for maintenance person. They told me they did not have one and could not help. I had to take a shower in dirty shower water laying in the bottom of the tub from the previous persons shower.

This hotels needs serious updates even for the money that I spent I didn't expect it to look that old. The room walls are way too thin I'm glad my daughter was 18 and not 5 or I would have had a lot of explaining to do. The shower had mildew on the walls so I wasn't taking a shower in there at all. I would have stayed another day cause I was there to see my daughter in college but I really felt dirty.

The dirty windows, and dilapidated overall look should have been a tip off when I got to the hotel. The lobby, was clean and looked nice, but that was it. The clerk took for ever to get my room key. As I walked down the hallway to get to the elevator, the carpet was dirty, had been vacuumed and badly needed to be steam cleaned. There was a maintenance (?) man standing by the elevator at the end of the hall, spraying room freshener into the elevator. The elevator looked like it used to be in a frat house, as did the furniture in the room. Everything was dirty and unkempt. I stayed here when coming to Ann Arbor for a funeral in our family. I will never stay here again, nor recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in.

Poor air quality.

The hotel is in very poor condition. You guys really need to update the picture on your website. The pool had a huge blue tarp over it. The staff were friendly and attentive. If it wasn't for the restaurants, Starbucks and Liquor Store across the street, I would have been really dispointed having to stay there for 3 nights. The Hotel states on their sign that they are the cheapest hotel in Ann Arbor and I can see why.

No hot water in shower first night of stay.....no fresh towels provided at all between check in and following morning. Not worth the money spent on a room

We booked this room because it was $50 cheaper per night than any other place, but I would have gladly paid $100 more to stay somewhere else. I felt dirty the moment I walked in and could not wait to check out the next morning.

It was ok, not really pleased though, I had to wait an hour to get into my room then come to find out it was the wrong room. The halls we're dirty with toliet paper and smelled very bad. The room was dirty aswell the walls we're gross and the floor felt nasty. I will not be staying there again.thank you.

A "Victory"?? More like a "loser".....breakfast was coffee, juice and some bread. The icemaker didn't work during my entire stay. The whole place is in dire need of remodelling. Road construction made it difficult to get in & out.

Waited one hour to get checked in...nobody was working the front desk and the manager had to be called in from sleep and home to check us in after we already paid and had 2 day reservation. Room was dirty...cob webs...toilet....bath tub. Very run down and needs alot of work in repairs. Hallways were musty and humid and dirty. Entrances were left unlocked all day and night even though posted they are locked after 1 pm. Very shady neighborhood and exposed to suspicious activity. Never again!!!!

This is the worst "Hotel" Ive ever stayed in. The place is very run down, the staff have no idea what customer service means, I stayed 7 nights, 3 of them there was no hot water and very little apology was offered. It was loud at night, the pool was not open and the breakfast was dismal. The manager was extremely rude, we had been kept up all night by a party so asked to have a late check out as we were tired then he came bounding on our door and asked us what we were still doing here and caused a massive fuss over it and told us to be out in 5 minutes. My advice is pay the extra few dollars and stay at a nicer place.

My stay was very welcome and if i were to stay out there again i would. The price was inexpensive and affordable. There was food around the surrounding of stay, so everything was pretty convenient. The rooms were very neat, clean and tidy.

Overall, a great utilitarian place to crash. If you're fussy, probably not the place for you. Some sketchy-ness at night due to a wedding reception, but overall, the place seemed safe and we were happy. The room was large and relatively clean. Coffee to go in the AM and we were pretty happy for the price. It got the job done.

score one for the meth set, the victory is theirs! I refused to stay here upon sticking to the elevator floors, wading past loiterers and seeing the stains in the carpet. buyer beware.

Not very impressed with this place, stupidly, I had stayed there before but hoped that it might have improved, it hasnt. Last time, I thought I had a refridgerator in my room. This time there was none, and the ice machine was another floor and was out of ice. The morning room cleaning must have taken them maybe 2 minutes, make bed, pick up towels, and gone. No cleaning done. The tv gets maybe 12 channels. AC worked at least.

Convenient. Safe. Needs cleaning, updating in hallways and elevator. Not really dirty, but needs TLC.
