the euskera tram , which arciculates with just about everything in the city, stops about 80 meters from the hotel. it can be had from the airport, bus, train, or metro stations. hotel is within walking distance of the old town. if/when i'd ever return to bilbao, and the hotel is still in place, i'd seriously consider re-booking it.

Centrally located, in city centre

The room was very clean and comfortable, and I thoiught great value for money. It is close to all the main tourist areas and easily accessible by public transport. Overall avery good experience.

Hotel was lovely. Staff really friendly and always happy to help. The room we had looked over the theatre, square and church , and was really spacious.Mini bar with reasonable prices. Would stay again and would recommend

Excellent location in old town, loads of bars & restaurants within 5 minutes walk. Next to a metro which is very easy to use. We got a .taxi to the Guggenheim, only a few euros. The hotel overall could do with a lick of paint and some of the worn carpets in public areas being replaced but actual room absolutely fine, clean & comfortable. Reception staff all very friendly, we asked for a room with a view and got just that with a fabulous view if the theatre, river etc . Able to people watch from the balcony. Breakfast was more than adequate although there is a set amount of tapas you can have and no refills for coffee. But it is more than enough, fab, fresh orange juice, just made tortilla and assorted tapas plus fresh fruit , cereal etc.. Would it be too much to get a refill of coffee though?

I definitely have more good than bad to say about this hotel. I chose this hotel for it's location. It's close to the Renfe station as well as the metro and other public transportation stops, as well as shopping and tourist sites. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, always acknowledging us when we left or returned to the hotel. The room was comfortable but the air conditioning did not work effectively and sleeping was warm. We could have left the windows open but I expected it to be noisy considering the location of the hotel but all we heard was the occasional garbage truck . We had a great view of the city from our room. The breakfast that we got with the hotel was good and well worth the 7 euros per person extra that we paid at the hotel when we checked in.

The hostel was in a pretty good location and I felt very secure. Everything was great, other than the breakfast, but it was still ok.

Really friendly reception staff!

Hotel was fine what made our stay was the helpfulness of the reception staff. We'd been over to the tourism office and not really received much help. The guy on reception went out of his way to find us information and offer us advice.

location exellent

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great position, on one side of the old town and by the bridge back to the city centre - only a 15 minute walk along the riverside to the Guggenheim. Only real criticism is that the room smelt of years of ingrained smoke - there was in fact an ash-tray in the room. We did ask for non-smoking when we booked on here, but perhaps that's not really possible in Spain. Stayed in another hotel nearby (Gurea) and they had the same issue. Otherwise I'd recommend it.

Well located on the edge of the old town opposite the Arenal bridge and a small square. Reception friendly and pleasant. However, generally, I did not like the hotel very much: 1) don't book single room - I was told I had the best single available but it was on the top floor (no lift to that floor by the way) with only a skylight and as such no view. Being at the top it was very hot and generally I was glad to leave it every morning. The non-single rooms looked better. 2) the hotel is in general a little faded and decorated in a heavy / old fashioned style. The carpet in my room was dark and thick and smelt dirty (the room smelt of it). (The bathroom was quite new however.) In summary, this was not up to the standard of other 3* hotels in the region.

Me gustó, lo que no me gustó nada, pero nada, es que teníamos contratado el desayuno y era uan cafetería normal y corriente, con esto quiero decir, que teníamos que esperar que atendieran a clientes de la calle, y luego ya nos atendieron a nosotros.No es muy agradable, que cuando pagas por una noche con desyuno incluído 105€, tengas que desayunar rodeada de gente que no es cliente del hotel, con sus ruidos y molestías por no hablar de lo que esperamos para poder desayunar.No volveré a ese hotel solo por ese detalle.

Agradable. El hotel no tiene hall, por lo que es algo incómodo si tienes que esperar a alguien. Del parking al hotel hay que ir andando con las maletas, ya que esta en pleno casco antiguo.

Jeg bodde på hotellet fem netter i mars 2013. Om jeg drar til Bilbao igjen, blir det utvilsomt Arenal. Ideell plassering i gamlebyen, med gangavstand til det meste av interesse, også Guggenheimmuseet, som er en arkitektonisk åpenbaring. Hotellet er meget velholdt; ser ut som det ganske nylig er renovert. Hyggelig betjening. Frokostserveringen litt annerledes enn på de fleste andre hoteller: Bestiller ved en høy disk, av et rikelig utvalg. God kaffe og meget god juice. Hyggelig frokostrom.

Perfecta, el personal majísimo, la unica pega es que si vas en coche, es un poco díficil orientarse para llegar y el parking publico todo y estar cerca si no sabes bien el camino, puedes dar alguna vuelta....eso si nos dieron una habitación enorme, muy cómoda y con unas vistas perfectas.repetiria.

This hotel so good location and really good view and room is so clean and nice decoration only one thing this hotel have got no room service !! But fine !!!!!! Main res food good as well!!!!!!!! :)

Die Lage des Hotels ist ideal am Rand der Altstadt gelegen. Nachteil der zentralen Lage ist allerdings die vielbefahrene Strasse, die neben dem Hotel vorbeiführt. Das Zimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Die Fenster hingegen sind alt und der Verkehrslärm war auch mit geschlossenen Fenstern sehr störend. Das Frühstück war zwar qualitativ gut, von der Menge her aber sehr enttäuschend. Es beschränkte sich auf ein heisses Getränk, Orangensaft, 2 Tapas oder Ähnliches und Früchte.

El hotel es cómodo y bien situado. Pero en fiestas si no tienes capacidad de abstraerte del ruido, olvídate de él, porque está encima de la principal zona donde se celebra todo.

solo pasamos una noche y buscabamos algo bien situado. En eso la verdad es que le daria una de las mejores puntuaciones. Pero en cuanto al trato del personal deja bastante que desear, por lo menos el que habia durante nuestra estancia. Y la habitacion no estaba mal.

De hele nacht kabaal gehad door feest op straat, geen oog dicht gedaan. Dit hotel had ons onder die omstandigheden geen kamer mogen verhuren! En wij waren niet van tevoren gewaarschuwd. Wanprestatie dus van het hotel.

Hotellet var helt i top og personalet var hjælpsomme. Beliggenheden var helt fin. Vi spadserede til Guggenheim, som absolut var højdepunktet på vores korte gennemrejse-ophold :)

Hotel is goed te bereiken. Ontvangst was vriendelijk en efficiënt. Kamer was ontzettend ruim, schoon, en comfortabel. Bij het ontbijt was er voldoende keus. En ook hier werd je bediend door vriendelijk personeel, die ook Engels converseerde. Het hotel ligt op een prachtige locatie, vanwaar je de verschillende kanten van de stad kan bezichtigen. De oude stad waar je kan slenteren door de kleine straatjes. Pintxos eten!! Maar ook de bezienswaardigheden zijn op loop afstand.

Estuve con mi pareja 2 dias en el hotel y nos encanto, la situacion era muy buena, ya que estaba en el casco viejo y todas las habitaciones tenian buenas vistas.Los recepcionistas que nos atendieron durante la estancia, Esther y Borja, nos ofrecieron un trato excelence asi como toda la ayuda que necesitamos.

Buena relación calidad - precio - ubicación, pero con problemas de aparcamiento. Parking alejado y no incluido en precio (+ 12 €). Desayuno caro ( 14 € / persona).

Sólo ha faltado la escobilla del water. Es lo único que incorporaría...

No se encuentra la ubicacion del hotel por GPS y tambien la situacion del que llega con coche y el hotel no tiene estacionamiento ni manera de pararse para dejar las maletas, deberian habilitar un serviso que facilitara esto a los que llegan en coche
