Hotel Blue Horizon is an older hotel but well kept and clean. Good service and friendly staff. A small covered outdoor cafe by the pool is quite simple but adequate. A nice place to start the day. Access to a clean safe beach is only across the road. Local busses are frequent and easy to use.

As we entered the room my Wife burst into tears It was horrible This hotel needs to be pulled down or given a very serious makeover No , on second thoughts just pull it down There was no one in the bar, no one eating in the restaurant Luckily we were only staying overnight to catch a flight at 4 am I've never written a review before, but felt I needed to warn others

I found that the was not of barbadian, one of my like when i come to barbados i come for the local food cook the local way not the amercan way,etc flyimg fish, fish you get the either.,

There are many better hotels in this area. This hotel is in need of a good clean and a upgrade. The gentleman at the front desk was really wonderful and helpful but other than that the other staff we encountered were not helpful. The Continental breakfast is only toast and not even real jam so it is not worth it. The pool and bar area is very small and has no vibe and feels deserted.

I found the hotel of good quality, pleasant staff and helpful in all aspect regarding to the service. I would reside at the Blue Horizon any time very enjoyable STAY

Staff were all great, except the woman running the breakfast area. She was a very grumpy curmudgeon. We were supposed to get a complimentary continental breakfast. When we upgraded to say an English breakfast, there was no discount even considered. In fact if you wanted extra coffee or toast (that which you got free with continental), you were charged extra for it. The woman explained that by upgrading your breakfast, you in fact forfeited your complimentary one. Bizarre Also you had to pay extra for internet which I thought odd. It was patchy, kept being dropped and you had to go down to front desk to get new code. Big hassle. But that said, I won't let one bad apple ruin it for the rest of the staff who were all friendly, helpful and great!!!

Rooms had an old odor. In one room AC worked perfect. In the other room did not work at all. Had clean linen every day.

The hotel is close to everything (restaurants, beach, etc). However, there was absolutely NO HOT WATER. Even though we called and spoke to the employees at the front desk NUMEROUS times, nothing was ever done. I was told that I change my room to the one next door, but then they changed their minds and that was no longer an option. There was never parking in the lot, since locals and other non-guests were paking there at their own convenience. The continental breakfast (for 2 guests) was 2 mini muffins, and 2 slices of toast with butter and what appeared to be strawberry jam. I was very disappointed in this hotel, lack of customer service and the unfriendly, non-smiling, unwelcoming front desk employees, add to NO ELEVATORS..Disappointed indeed!

The people were extremely friendly and helpful. The location is excellent being right on Rockley beach, but the rooms are very old and outdated.

Hotel ALTAMENTE DETERIORADO, sin agua caliente, sin a/a, PESIMO SERVICIO.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Blue Horizon. Es war Nebensaison, daher war das Hotel recht leer und ziemlich ruhig. Uns hat es gut gefallen! Im Einzelnen: Lage: Das Hotel ist super gelegen, im Süden der Insel und direkt an der viel befahrenen (aber nicht störenden) Hauptstraße zwischen Bridgetown und Oistins. Es sind nur 20m bis zum herrlichen Strand von Rockley und alle notwendigen und nicht notwendigen Facilities (Einkaufszentrum, Supermärkte, Fastfood, Restaurant) sind innerhalb weniger Minuten zu erreichen. Zimmer: Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und schön möbiliert. Das riesige King-Size-Bett war super bequem. Auch das Bad war sauber. Insgesamt ist die Hotelanlage wirklich zu empfehlen! Schön bunt, ein kleiner Pool, für die kurze Erfrischung zwischendurch und auch das kontinentale Frühstück reicht aus, um gut in den Tag zu starten. Stuff: Einzig die Freundlichkeit der Hotelbar und -restaurantmitarbeiter ließ ein wenig zu wünschen übrig... Dafür war die Rezeption sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Restaurant: Auf gar keinen Fall zu empfehlen wäre (in unseren Augen) das Essen im Hotel-Restaurant. Nicht, weil es schlecht ist - eher im Gegenteil - sondern es ist schlicht überteuert. Geht man einfach an der Straße in das nächste Lokal bekommt man auch gute Speisen für den halben Preis! Fazit: Das Hotel ist absolut empfehlenswert und wir würden wieder dort übernachten!

Trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Rent. Teve-mottagningen dålig trots traktens kanske största parabol på taket!
